Diane | 13052 comments Please post your nominations here for our March books of the month. We will be "traveling to" Morocco for our world book, and Indiana for our US state book. Books nominated need to be all or mostly set in either location to be accepted.

Here are some lists to get you started for ideas. Books do not need to be present on these lists to be nominated.

mussolet (sovotchka) | 40 comments For Morocco I can recommend This Blinding Absence of Light. Other books I've read are The Storyteller of Marrakesh and The Caliph's House: A Year in Casablanca. They were not as good, but a lot easier to read as the subject was not quite so depressing.

Marie-Anne | 6 comments For Morocco, I nominate The Serpent's Daughter by Suzanne Arruda. I've read the first 2 books in the series, and they are exceptional mysteries playing in Africa just after WWII. Before I even finished the first one, I started buying the other books in the series.

For Indiana, Death in Lacquer Red by Jeanne M. Dams has been on my TBR list, so I would like read that one.
