Thread for Lao literature discussion.

The Dr. Siri mysteries are written by an Englishman, but set in 1970s Laos, they exude a lot of local flavor. The first one in the series is The Coroner's Lunch. I have read all except the most recent one, which is not yet in paperback. There was only one I didn't thoroughly enjoy -- The Merry Misogynist. It was very unpleasant.
