So jealous. Netflix only recently came to the UK so so far it has a very limited connection compared to this. Was using it to watch Heroes but have kind of given up mid way through season 3.
A few things on netflix instant which I love and you may also enjoy are:Shows:
Avatar: The Last Airbender (Not the movie, avoid the movie!)
Fullmetal Alchemist
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Battlestar Galatica
I'm sure there are more, I just can't access my account now. I'll update it later if I have other ideas.
Is Ip Man short for Iron Man, or is it something else?If you like British comedy, there's a really hilarious series called Black Books that I love!
Other than that my Netflix queue is full of the kids' shows.

Oooh, I'll be checking out some selections from your list. Thanks! And it's the reason I don't get out a bit more that led me to Netflix lol =p

Yeah, I couldn't get pass season two. Everyone tells me it pretty much tanked after the first run.

Sighs. Sadly, our eyes cannot unsee things. Avatar the movie being the reason why it's sad. I love FMA. It's a pity I didn't watch Brotherhood first given the opportunity.

Hehe. Ip Man is a Chinese film based on a legendary martial artist named Yip Man. He taught Bruce Lee. It's one of my favorite kung-fu movies with an interesting, historical backdrop. Highly recommend it especially if you like action-packed in any form.
I cannot understand British humor for the life of me. I've been exposed to Skins, RocknRolla, and Dr. Who. Granted they're not classified as comedies, but I find the underlying comedic relief and jokes so dry and flat! I'm not surprised though. My sense of humor is often crass and unsophisticated lol. I did enjoy Anuvahood. Maybe I need to be exposed to the right shows and movies.

I just want to say: American Horror Story finally came onto Netflix, and I was excited. And the first few episodes were great. Then it sort of sputtered into Soap Opera Murder House and I was severely disappointed. Anyone seen the second season? Is it any good? Because I really want to like this show. :(

So I'm taking this as you've already seen A:TLA, FMA, and FMA:B. Though when it comes to watching FMA, I personally recommend watching FMA, then FMA:B. Yes you have overlap, but FMA is a great series and FMA:B is even better. I feel if you do FMA:B and then FMA I'd be disappointed. But I love both.
Other Recs:
Buffy
Angel
Dollhouse
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog
The Guild
30 Days
Michelle and Stefani,
So I watched the first few episodes of Black Books last night, and yeah, it's pretty damn funny. There were some hangtime, but I really like the three main characters. There's books and booze, how could I not relate? lol. Definitely keeping it on my watch list. Thanks for putting me on that one, gals!

30 Rock is hilarious, I've recently gotten into that. Also, check out Wilfred. It's kind of inappropriate but I get a sense that this group is made up of people generally old enough to handle it.
I might get some hate from this, but I have also started watching Lost..... I already know the ending, and know a LOT of spoilers due to my brother watching, but I just love Charlie's character, and I love Dom (actor who plays him) so I'm just going to watch until his characters drops dead.
Walking Dead is okay, I haven't watched that in awhile...
Oh, Netflix recently added a few Disney classics, last time I checked. Pocahontas, Aristocats, stuff like that. It's always nice to revisit your childhood. Not to mention the Colors of the Wind song gives me chills...
And as others have said FMA and Avatar the Last Airbender are some great series to get involved in if you want something kind of long lasting.

Glad you liked it, Kay! The shows you mentioned that you didn't get definitely have a more subtle sense of comedy. Not Going Out is another one that's pretty crass and laugh-out-loud. It's about a guy who is pretty much the English version of a redneck, living in London with a posh female roommate, and hanging out with his effeminate best friend. Hilarity ensues. :P
Some others that I like are The IT Crowd (two incredibly nerdy IT guys who have been relegated to the basement, along with their regular-gal manager), Red Dwarf (the lone survivors of a radiation spill on an intergalactic spaceship are the lazy, crass handyman, the hologram of his deceased anal-retentive immediate superior, the ship's computer, and a being that evolved from a cat), and Father Ted (three inept priests banished to a lonely island abbey).
One that I really liked that didn't last very long was My Hero, which was about an alien super-hero trying to maintain a secret identity by passing himself off as Irish.
Just going from my "watch again" list, here are the ones I rated with 4-5 stars:TV:
Once Upon a Time
Samurai Champloo
Stephen Fry in America
Mushi-shi
Fruits Basket
A:TLA
X-Files
North & South
Ouran HC
FMA
Hey Arnold
Movies:
Clue
Serenity
Super 8
Hugo
The Artist
Rango
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The Secret of Kells
Matilda
Battle Royale
Memento
I feel that their anime selection is fairly good, if you're into that kind of thing. My problem is that I tend to prefer subs over dubs, but some dubs (like FMA and FMA:B) are phenomenal.
I love Eternal Sunshine. That was a great movie I just happened to stumble upon; and Elijah Wood was in it. Though I didn't agree with his buzzcut. It was really deep and emotional, but also hilarious. It kind of showed that Jim Carrey could take on some pretty emotional roles.
I keep planning to watch Secret of Kells but I've never gotten around to it.

If you liked Eternal Sunshine (and Elijah Wood!) check out a film called "Everything Is Illuminated". It's another deeply conceptual film, but Wood is fantastic in it, and it's so funny and sad and moving! And Elijah Wood is also brilliant in a show called "Wilfred", an American remake of an Aussie show. Hilariously dark and twisted!
Oh, and the whole British humour thing- I'm sure i# you like dry humour, you already have seen The Office (the original UK version), but have you checked out "Extras"? It's by the same people who did The Office, only it's about a bunch of people who work as extras on movies. Hilarious, and very, very dry.

I LOVE Wilfred. Hopefully I can attend the comic-con panel for it and meet Elijah and Jason. I also want to give them something fan-made so they can maybe remember me. ^_^ I love every episode, and Wilfred is ironically what got me into Lord of the Rings.
I'm a huge fan of the U.S version of The Office, but I never grew onto the British version. It seemed to long and slightly boring. I mean, it's a typical American reaction. I kind of like humor I can relate to, or just stuff that makes me laugh. I do love Martin Freeman in it, though. Ricky is also brilliant.
Is Extras on Netflix currently?

Wilfred is actually originally Australian, so you could always check out the original version. Our Australian humour is closely related to British humour but if you like the American version, why not give the original one a go?
I've actually checked out the Aussie version. It was okay, but I'm not such a huge fan of British humor. I didn't really like the U.K version of The Office, and one of the reasons I don't like Doctor Who is because I didn't like the humor in it. That's why the only BBC shows I watch are more like dramas, and don't have much humor at all.
I agree with "Everything Is Illuminated" but I believe it was taken off. But you can always read the book!I would recommend American Horror Story. it's phenomenal!
Since I'm finally on my laptop I can pick out more titles from my watch again thing.TV- American Horror Story, How I Met Your Mother, Portlandia, Freaks & Geeks, Doctor Who, ODDities, Undeclared, 1,000 Ways To Die, Skins (UK),The Inbetweeners (UK), Hollywood Treasure
Films- Trainspotting, Donnie Darko, Jeff Who Lives At Home, Camille, I Love You Phillip Morris, Heathers, Party Monster, Mary & Max, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, TiMER, Remember the Daze, A League of their Own, Troll Hunter, Let The Right One In, Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale, Ink, The Ten, Splinterheads, This Is England, Velvet Goldmine, Death At A Funeral (2007 v.) Gypsy 83...
Netflix has lost a lot of their Anime. Apparently they didn't renew their streaming rights and only had a limited time where certain shows were available. I noticed you didn't have Cowboy BeBop on your list. It's one of my favorite animes and full of action.
Since you like action films, I recently watched Bodyguard and Assassins. It's about Sun Wens visit to Hong Kong to overthrow the Qing Dynasty. It was pretty interesting. I don't know if its on Netflix yet or not.
As for tv series, might check out Supernatural for action packed eye candy, The Guild for nerdy fun, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret and Little Britain for more British humor... Also, Lexx isn't for everyone but it makes me laugh. In a way, it reminds me a little of Red Dwarf.
I haven't watched them, but anime series that were recommended to me that still look to be available are Pumpkin Scissors, Trinity Blood, Black Blood Brothers, Xxxholic and Witchblade.
But instead of them, looks like I'm opting for Black Books after all of you have talked about it. ;)
Some shows that we loved on Netflix were Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, Red Dwarf, Doctor Who (both classic and modern), Archer, Cosmos, Buffy, Angel, classic SNL, the Katherine Tate Show, and The A Team.
Just really got into Supernatural; great show.
I second just about everything everyone has listed, so I won't rename stuff. All of the Star Trek series are on Instant Watch now. Jericho's pretty good (post apocalyptic) and Twin Peaks if you're into that. A friend of mine recommended Lost Girl, but I haven't started watching it yet. If you like Deadliest Warrior you'll probably like Weapon Masters, they compare ancient weapons with modern to see which one fares better. For stand up I highly recommend Aisha Tyler is Lit. She is AWESOME. I like Hal Sparks too, but Aisha's better :)
Trishia I TOTALLY hear you!!! I don't have HBO at my house but me and my sisters are making it a weekly adventure to visit my other sisters house to watch it. :D
I highly suggest Avatar: The Last Airbender! It's an amazing TV show and I know it's on the Canadian Netflix not sure about other countries though.
I love Avatar. Great series, even for adults.
Chimney wrote: "I watched and really liked The Adventures of Tintin movie recently. Of course, I keep rewatching The Producers too."Those are both very good movies!
If you like wrestling, there are a few interesting ones on there. My favorites are the ones on CM Punk and Steve Austin.
Seeing as this group is called She-Geeks, hopefully most of you are feminists. I recently stumbled across a GREAT documentary on Netflix instant called Miss Representation. I think you should all check it out, because I normally hate documentaries but this one is extremely gripping and eye-opening.
I really like Hemlock Grove! And a really good thing about it is that it's a Netflix original show, so all of the episodes will be there!
But it is very adult, with women nudity. And there are sex scenes. But, besides all that it is an awesome show.
It's based off a book too...
Hemlock Grove
I've never read the book, so I don't know if the show follows it closely or not.
And it doesn't suck!!
Si this is kind of irrelevant, sorry. But on Google Chrome there's a free extension called Hola Unblocker and it's amazing for Netflix users! Basically it allows you to watch movies and shows that are play instant for people who are from Great Britain (and possibly other countries, I don't know yet). But it's awesome! You can't add any of them to your instant queue or anything but it's so worth it!
If you haven't watched Orange is the New Black you definiteley should. It's a Netflix original series set in a women's prison. It's amazing, funny, dark and complex.
I gave up Netflix for a month so I'm excited to be getting it back. I'm way behind on Arrow so I'll be using it to catch up on that. Also they've put season 3 of Borgia up.

Here are some selections I've watched via streaming and rated 4-5 stars. As of now, they're all available on instant.
