Was Shay Bourne the messiah? Was he resurrected in Clara's dog?

I'm stiill not sure. I'm guessing the answers for both my questions is yes.

I thought Shay sort of became a part of Claire and that was why she could bring the dog back to life.
That's exactly what I thought Reese, I think Jodi leaves her stories like that at the end so you can decide for yourself what happens and so that the book will stick with you :)
I agree with Reese. This was such a great story! Really had you thinking!
