The creator of Spanks had the artwork for her office done at the shop where I work. I didn't talk to her. She had on a very nice pair of boots, though.
Okay I guess this is different enough from Celebrities I have SEEN.

If I ever get the courage to start a thread, I am sending you a PM to make sure it does not yet exist.

....my mistake.
Forgive an ignorant question but is there a way to delete this thread then?
*slinks off with tail tucked firmly between legs*
I don't think it was a reprimand. Simply showing that there was another thread that is similar. I actually think my comment would have had a more proper place there. I could have talked to the Spanks lady, I just didn't care to.
Dennis wrote: "Félix wrote: "I met Nolan Ryan."Did you have a conversation with him? Down to earth kind of guy?"
I just shook his hand, and he said, "How ya doin'?" He was with two of his sons in a restaurant, and a friend of mine who knew him introduced us. He seemed very

How mush is that, exactly?
I went to high school with a bunch of people who actually went on to become celebrities, but I won't mention any names. I knew them before they were famous. Some were assholes, some were nice.
I worked with a guy who went to school with Kelly Ripa. He said she was not so great. He might have been a little bitter.
When I was living in Charlotte in 98-02, I met Dale Earnhardt Jr. at a bar. I had no idea who he was as I did't follow NASCAR (still don't). We struck up a conversation at the bar waiting for our drink orders to be taken. A very cool guy who ended up buying my table a round of beers. I cracked him up becuase I knew nothing of his sport and was asking him stupid questions about race car driving.
It's like that video of Jay-Z on the subway, sitting and talking to an older white woman who is asking him what he does.
I've mentioned it before, but Robin Williams used to shop at my Egghead Software store in the Marina (SF).Mrs. Phil went to high school with that lady from Glee. Hang on, I'll look up her name. Okay, it was Jane Lynch.
Now there is someone to meet. Did you ask about the recipe for her colors?Jammies, when I was young and could not find colors in nail polish that I wanted I would mix up my own.
I use to paint the most intricate pictures on my nails and found I was pretty deft with my left hand.
Now I just do an occasional polka dot on my toes.

Wasn't Richard Roeper in the same class? I know I've heard Richard Roeper say he went to school with Jane Lynch.

Yes, Richard Roeper is also in the yearbook. Sorta cool.Richard is the same class as Mrs. Phil, Jane was one year behind.
I spilled a club soda on Paul Simon. He was very gracious and we agreed that we were both happy it wasn't the tomato juice in my other hand. I had dinner with Armand Hammer. Extremely nice person for being such a villain.
My friend Dave was a sound mixer for Paul Simon on two of his major world tours. Dave doesn't have lot good to say about Paul's personality (they called him Paul the dick) but has great respect for his musical talents.Isn't Armand Hammer the guy who made baking soda?
Oh! *swoons!* My oldest daughter and I saw her years ago in "Annie Get Your Gun," and more recently with that older gal who sings "Ladies Who Lunch." Oh crap, why can't I think...was it Elaine Stritch? Yes, got it.
Oh Riona, tell us more! Did you design a gown for the petite Miss Peters? She is so lovely, so ageless.
No, I didn't! That would be amazing. I was dressing backstage at an event for TDF that she was singing at. First I was hanging out backstage right after we did our segment, and she walked by to go on next and congratulated the cast of my show and said we were great--she was about a foot away from me and I just about died. I got to watch her set and it was great, so then later when I was inventorying costumes she walked past me and I told her how wonderful her performance had been. She thanked me and patted my arm. Then I died for real. She is totally gorgeous even up close! She looks like she hasn't aged in 10 years.

My brother (who lives in Brooklyn) saw her on the street one Sunday afternoon, walking to the theater district and he was tempted to pick her up and twirl her around, she is so little. He gave her a gentlmanly nod and she gave him a wink.

I once met Bruce Campbell at a horror convention. Very nice man, he autographed my "Evil Dead 2" dvd :D
I've also spoken at length quite often with Lia Beldam, who is a Swedish model best known for playing the young woman in the bathroom in "The Shining"
Though not a "celebrity" in the traditional sense, I have been fortunate to befriend Naomi King (Stephen King's daughter) and have spoken with her about her involvement in the Unitarian Church and the inclusion of LGBT groups within that particular religious structure.
Just curious if anyone else has had any run ins or conversations with little or well known celebs.
