Vampire Diaries..I only got til page 17 when I finally decided I can't take anymore of teenage vampire thingy. Though, I prefer its TV series, maybe I just can't handle how it was written.

I still made it through the first book in the series but the rest of 'em had me cringing at the bad prose and banal dialogues...not to mention the rapidly eroding plot as the series progressed. Unfortunately I'd bought all the books before I'd read 'em .......sheer waste of shelf space!
Oh Shit Not again by Mandar Kokate. This book really is shit. I can't imagine how a person cab write SUCH a bad book....plot, characters, style of writing.....nothing is even 1 percent worth of any praise....I actually think highly of myself for attempting to read and completing this book.
Fifty Shades Darker....after 50 shades of grey...just could continue with this one after 10-15 pages...
It was TERRIBLE. I read it, and couldn't believe how popular it was. Atrocious writing, badly-written characters, no plot, and abusive themes. There was no redeeming factor.

Maybe I was too young, maybe the timing was off, or maybe it just didn't strike me as anything above a whole lot of drivel encased in incredibly flat prose. Whatever the reasons, the book irritated me so much that I did something I had never done until then - I gave it away ! (The recipient was equally stunned and more than a little wary because I had a very well deserved reputation for not giving away books from my personal collection).
Shantaram was the first book I ever read that I left midway, thus breaking another of my (up till then) cardinal rules - that of not leaving a book midway no matter how bad it was. So that's how much I disliked it.
Your turn now...
