This channel is brand new though so have some patience, if no one is in the channel but you want to brainstorm take it on yourself to lurk and try to drum up some interest. This could be a fantastic resource for those times when you want answers right away if we can get it to catch on.

Itsy Bitsy Spider had a great idea; post "IN" or "ON" or "ONLINE" or something in the thread when you're in the chat so others know to join in. Then when you leave either delete your comment or post "OFF".

Try not to leave too many outdated posts in the thread though, it'll be up to you guys to tidy up your own posts every once in a while.

I'm not certain what it means but it ought to be fine. We don't really utilize the mod powers in there anyway.

It's because I registered the channel. Now that room is exclusive to us. It also has the side effect that if I or another operator of the channel isn't in the room the topic won't be set. Fixed this. However no one else will be made an OP.

My bad, it's been a busy month. I'll get back in there on a regular basis and you can help me start drumming up interest. We have enough people to get a the channel well populated but not without a little effort.

I haven't been there all week either o.O

Well there are people from all time zones on here, even north america itself spans 6 of them so I'm sure you'd be able to go on when someone else is awake.

Oh also I just tend to post that I'm on and then delete the comment when I log out. Speaking of which I'll be on all day at work in an hour or so.

I've seen as many as 5 but to be honest a lot of the time it's just one person sitting in there waiting for others to join. Hopefully it'll pick up and get big but that'll only work if people are patient and willing to idle in there and check back once in a while for chatters.

If we can get this established as a spot for goodreads users to go it could be an excellent resource for writers. I'm trying to think of a good way to drum up interest but I don't want to spam other threads unless it's applicable lol.
