Alex Rider definately!!!! it rocks!!! i mean....artemis fowl is good...but alex rider is better

i dunno...i've never read any of them. my fave series currently is the Twilight Saga...i'm readin Eclipse right now.

yeah, the Alex Rider series is DEFINITELY the best! go alex!! i have read the fist book of Artemis Fowl and i got reaaally bored! but alex is soo cool!! and soo hot too!!

OK, I joined this group just so I could post on this topic. I choose Artemis Fowl! I have read the Time Paradox and it was AMAZING! I'm reading the last Alex Rider book right now. They're REALLY REALLY good. It was hard to choose, but there are some boring parts in AR that I sort of skimmed. The action parts are awesome, though. I like Artemis Fowl better because it's more dynamic. There are better character relationships, and I think it's just written better overall. I'm just glad there are people out there that have read them, though!

i like alex rider because it is full of action!!!!! i cant put the book down once i start it and i LUUUUVVVV books like that!!!! and i also like the gadgets alex gets for every new adventure!!!

That's cool. I like the gadgets too, and the books do have a lot of action. But there are some parts that bore me. I suppose, though, if there weren't lulls in the action then the suspense wouldn't build up and the action wouldn't seem as good. I like Artemis Fowl better because there are more characters and the books seem well thought through. I think, for me, it's more a matter of personal preference than actual writing skill. I like all the technology and science in Artemis Fowl. They do talk a lot about that kind of thing in AR, but I think there's more in Artemis Fowl. I think I would like Alex Rider better if it was more focused on spy work. I love learning about spies, but Alex pretty much just fights people and totally blows his cover. I love Alex as a character, though, because he's resourceful and he's just a normal teenage boy that gets dragged into everything.

Yeah. I guess I like how Artemis has a plan BEFORE everything goes wrong. And I love the character development throughout the series. He learns a lot as he grows. Alex Rider is REALLY resourceful though. I admire that. If I was him, I'd be dead in 2 seconds. I just wish there was more of the whole spy element in the books. Like, breaking into places and putting on disguises and setting up security measures and lying and outsmarting the opponent.

i like the way alex does it...i think it's more exciting!! one thing i dont like about artemis fowl is the fairies, goblins, centaurs, etc...i want it to be more realistic

That's true. I don't like all the fantasy stuff.

AAAAAAHHHHH PERCY JACKSON is the BEST!!!!! It does have a lot of fantasy, but the way it's written is sooo much better than traditional fantasy. Probably because it's based off of Greek mythology, with a twist. PERCY JACKSON IS AWESOME!

well ya...percy jackson is on of my top 4 series...tho i dunno which is best and worst in those 4...i dont hav a top 5...haha...percy jackson is good cuz well the setting and time is like in the 21st century...but like the plot is REALLY good!! i own all of them...LUV the series!!

The Alex Rider series was very good but it (to me) just wasn't as good as the Artemis Fowl series.
Also the ending of the Alex Rider series just wasn't what I expected or liked very much I mean... dude. It's just.. dude.. On the other hand the Artemis Fowl one was better then the ending of AR (again, to me). I mean it actually was a real happy ending. Yes, I like happy endings :p
