Okay, I'm starting off the year with a re-read of Laura Madeline Wiseman's "Sprung," which I first read about a month ago. Do re-reads count?

A fantastic and quirky book of poems. Good to know!Next on my list will be: Frederick Seidel, Nice Weather, which came out last year.
Looking forward to your review of Sprung!
I am also a Seidel fan, so I am happy to see him on your short list.

Susana, we have a place for posting reviews within our group. It allows for easy access and seeing what has recently been reviewed by our members. Can I ask you to copy and paste your review of Sprung in our group discussion area here?: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_....
Oops--new and still a little confused about where everything goes. I did re-post following the link and will remember to do this in the future,
Two down and we aren't even on the 15th of January yet! At this rate you'll have no problem making twenty.
:-)Yes, I do read a lot of poetry! I think if one writes, it's imperative to also read. Otherwise, one is just having a monologue with oneself...
Ok, this isn't part of my book list, but rather MY book of poetry, recently released and reviewed in A Stray Branch :-)http://www.thestraybranch.org/index.p...
Salem in Seance sounds like just my sort of book Susana - 'giving voices to the once silenced'. I'm just working out how I can get hold of it without having to resort to the evil 'We pay no taxes in the UK or USA' Amazon.
ha--it's on B & N, Powells, a lot of booksellers have it online if you Google "Susana H Case" they should all pop up... :-)
Trouble is that I'm in the UK not the US and I was kind of trying to avoid international shipping rates but I think I may have found it.
I've placed an order and in the process discovered a great website hive that supports independent book shops here in the UK. A win all round.
I'm adding a review of a free e-book anthology download that has some interesting poetry from Nostrovia! Poetry.
Here goes the first, a short review of a chapbook, "Persephone's Revenge" by Jennifer Franklin. I'm on spring break and so my activity will pick up a bit:http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
Another chapbook, "A Disturbance in the Air" by Michele Poulos with a link to a chapbook competition (this was this year's winner) that might be of interest to some of you:http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
More from AWP, though this poet is also a friend:In the Weather of the World by Estha Weiner:

I wanted to thank you for the books your reviewed for us here in 2013. They introduced me to some worthwhile poets. St. Rage's Vault is still on my amazon wish list. Fingers crossed that it shows up under the tree this Christmas.
Hope so! Books are great presents aren't they? Sorry I've been incommunicado on Goodreads since the summer. Life intrudes! Hope to return soon... Have good holidays.
