The Final Test discussion

Jace walks into the forest with his bow in one hand and an arrow in the other looking for something to hunt.

Jax sprinted in and Katherine had to run. The dog was training her.
She laughed at the thought and the laugh rang through the forest.

Jace whips around knocking the arrow and lowers the arrow when he sees who it is "what are you doing here" shouts jace

Jax ran toward the voice pouncing. Katherine froze and looked to see who was shouting to her. She didn't see anyone. Her eyes widened and she ran, agile through the woods, not making any sound.

Jace hides behind a tree then smiles when he sees Katherine running and raises his bow aiming a few feet in front of her and releases the arrow then watches the arrow pin her shirt to a tree.

Kat looked at the arrow and her head snapped to scan the trees. She took it into her hand and held it between her fingers. If someone was here, they would regret it. She could snap the arrow back. Something she had learned from her father.

Jace darts out from behind the trees trowing a knife and knocking the arrow out of Katherine's hand then stops a few feet away from her "hey"

"Jace?" She asked incredulous. Then a blush filled her cheeks. "So easily you did that." She had to train harder. This was a sign.

Jace smiles "ya who else is as dashing and handsome as me" he jokes "but ya it was easy" he says

"Hmmm, I know a couple," she joked back, half a lie. Jax ran off but Katherine didn't follow. Best part of Jax is that he hunted for himself and did his business when needed. "Well the knife, I couldn't catch because of the arrow."
She was glad actually. No one knows about how she can snap arrows. She rather keep it that way. "So what are you doing?"

"well i was hunting but you interrupted me" he says "and who else is as hot as me?" asks Jace curious

Kat took the knife, biting her lip to hold back a smile. She had seen equally handsome men. Even if she had been warned against friends and especially love, she wasn't blind. "Wouldn't you want to know?" She smirked and became quiet, eyeing a certain part in the forest. "Deer," she mouth. She held a finger to indicate there was only one.

Jace whips around so he was only a blur and knocks a an arrow then releasing the arrow and knocks another one and lowers it when he saw that he shot it threw the head "got it" he smiles

She smiled at him. What the hell are you doing Kat! No connections, no friends, no remorse. She locked in place, her eyes loosing the easiness and friendliness to them. "I can't. Sorry," she muttered as she started to turn away, her fists clenching.

Jace frowns confused "what are you sorry for?" he asks

She closed her eyes painfully. "I can't tell you." And she went deeper into the woods to find Jax.

"why not" he asks confused then gasps "are you one of those people who have the parents who say do not make any connections because it will just make it harder to kill them later?" he asks curious

"Both my parents were Masters," she said simply. "They know what they are talking about." She shivered as if thinking of them brought the ghosts back. "Don't tell anyone that by the way." She knew she probably would tell. Katherine couldn't trust anyone.

Jace nods "okay" he says and heads for the dead deer.

"Thank you," she whispered. Then she couldn't help herself as she grinned, "You're welcome by the way!"

"for what?" he says removing the arrow

"For telling you where the deer is," she laughed.

Jace grins "i would of saw it" he jokes then starts dragging the deer

She sighed and went to help him, picking up the other side easily. She steadied it after stumbling a couple times. "Yeah, you would've. Probably dead by someone else." She laughed.

Jace smiles "who would kill me?" he asks "i mean they would just stare at me probably" he jokes

She scoffed. "Not anyone is as nice as me and Jane. And also remember, I didn't stare at you. You pinned me to a tree." She gave him a pointed look.

Jace smiles "everyone is nice to me" he jokes "and you did stare at me, i saw you".

"No," she said simply. "I didn't." She smiled as she heard little paws go through the forest. Jax found Cleo looking at her, tail wagging and barked.

Jace smirks "so if i took my shirt off you wouldn't stare" he jokes and keeps carrying the deer.

"Nope," she smiled coyly. "I wouldn't."
Dang it, she was doing it again. Connections.

Jax tugged on her shoe. Clearly, it wanted her to meet Katherine.

Jace grins "okay" he says then looks at Jax who was staring up at a tree

Katherine made a face at Jace and dropped the deer, making him stop and she started to laugh.

(i thought cleo was in a tree)

(Oops XD Jax barked up. There lol)

Katherine followed his line of sight in the tree and saw a girl. That was what was getting Jax all riled up about. "Hey!" she called.

Jace looks up at the girl "hey"

Katherine can see the bow in her hand and smiled. "Nice spot," she said indicating the tree with a nod. She took in her profile. If probably was agile, strong too and if she had a bow, she probably liked doing long distance combat or needed to improve.

Katherine smiled. "Sorry, I'm new. Can't help it."

Jace smiles at her "hi i'm Jace" he says

Katherine picked up the deer again.

Jace smiles and starts carrying the deer again "well see ya" he says

Katherine laughed inwardly at the attempt Cleo was making to make her face expressionless. She almost had it, but she didn't mask her eyes. Kat smiled anyway. "My name's Katherine."

Katherine waved, the look in her eyes friendly, clearly showing, We'll meet again.

Katherine laughed, "I meant that to come across to you."
She did honestly.

No connections. she ignored it. She knew her mother's message but that didn't mean she couldn't be nice. "You too, the bow is coming great by the way."

"Why thank you" says Jace smiling

"but we both know its true that i'm really cool" Jace says
