Name: GabbyAge: 23.
Favorites: I don't really have a favorite, it's weird. Some books I prefer more and some authors I enjoy but no one really sticks out.
I enjoy certain genres though: Mystery, historical, YA. I'm starting to get into urban fantasy and I'm looking to read a bit more crime this year. I can't really get into things with knights and dragons and the like. I've been meaning to give the fae world a chance but I haven't found a book that hasn't made me go "ugh" yet. If anyone has any recs I'd appreciate it :)
My name is Michelle and my favourite books include, Harry Potter (series), Infernal Devices (series), Percy Jackson (series), Septimus Heap (series), Hunger Games (series) and The Fault in Our Stars. My favourite types of books are generally any fantasy/YA novels but I will read basically anything :)
Hello, I'm Alejandra, the age is 18. Among my favorite books you'll find His dark materials (Phillip Pullman), La saga de los confines (Liliana Bodoc), and I like Poe, Cortazar... I love fantasy literature. My to-read list is too long -I don't have it here yet- and I decided it was time to start, since I used to read a lot as a kid but with time I stopped doing it. X)
Hi everybody, my nick's ratonfoker, I'm 34, I love to read especially science fiction and horror novels or short stories. I also love comics and manga. My favourite authors are Edgar Alan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft.
Hi, I'm Kimi :) I'm 24, and a Bookseller from Blackpool, England. I have a lot of favourite books and authors!! I think my all-time favourite book is probably 'Invisible Monsters' by Chuck Palaniuk, but I also love Dean Koontz, Trudi Canavan, Conan Doyle, Tess Gerritsen, John Green, Charlaine Harris, and Kathy Reichs. Quite a varried taste!!
Hello everyone :) My name is Shamiah and I am 17 years old. Some of my favourite books would be The Mortal Instruments series, Harry Potter series, Percy Jackson series (I'm just about finished the last one, what do I do now?!), Artemis Fowl series, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and many many more! I'll pretty much try anything that is recommended to me, so if you have any recommendations I'd love to hear them. :)
Hey everyone! :) My name is Lauren. I'm 20 years old. My favourite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. My favourite author is Ellen Hopkins, and my favourite book by her is Impulse. Some of my favourite series include Harry Potter by JK Rowling, The Mortal Instruments, and the Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, and The Luxe and Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen. I'm mostly reading YA stuff right now, but on occasion, I do branch out. At the top of my to-read list is The Great Gatsby.
Heyy, I'm Jackie or Jacks or The-Introvert-Who-Always-Has-A-Book-In-Her-Hands-Even-In-The-Mall-Dear-Lord :) I'm 15 and always procrastinating. I could be a registered Perfectionist if you told me where to register and my favorite books are
,
and
! I love Cassandra Clare and JK Rowling and I'm kind of a YA geek. I spend most of my life waiting for my favorite books to turn into movies and blogging on the internet. I love love love recommendations especially since I never get any but in the rare chance that I do, I usually fall in love with the said book.
It's nice to meet you all :-). My name is Amelia and I'm 15 years old. Books are almost like an escape for me, I try to relate to the characters and situations in everything apart from when the book is unfortunately written. I feel I can get no where with a poorly written story. Some of my favourite books are (only some as the list would be too odd and long)
and the other books in the series and
and one more
.I love John Green's books, Julie Cross, Michelle Hodkin, C.J Daugherty, Lauren Kate and Veronica Roth as well as several others. Goodreads has helped me find tons of books I love but would never have picked up before.
I have a tumblr but I won't post it yet as it isn't very interesting however I do spend a lot of my time in this land that is the internet. I can't bare it when perfect books are ruined when they are turned in to films but when a good one comes along I'll probably see it seventeen times. Most of my time (when I'm not on tumblr) is spent crying over books that haven't been released yet and stalking the authors. - In a totally normal way...
I feel like I'm trying to find myself through some books, words really fascinate me - says the oddity - but seriously, the way someone can feel emotions by something written whether it be on a screen, a wall or a pice of paper. I think that's pretty amazing. Book people are definitely one of the best types of humans so basically... you all rock :-)
I hope I'm not too annoying.
Be happy!
Nice too meet you guys.
And Amelia, I don't even know what to say about myself after this post of yours... I can't say so much about myself. But you're definetely not annoying!
Anyway... Hi, I'm Layla, 19 years old. And I guess I love too many books to say one or two favorites. And I haven't read so many books of a single author that I think I can say I have a favorite either? Yeah, I'm weird, I guess.
But I can say that I love fantasy, ya, fiction, mystery and historical fiction. Actually I'll just read about any genre.
Now that was annoying, sorry about that.
Bye

None of you is annoying, you are all lovely, you don't even imagine how happy it makes me to see all of you commenting and participating :)
hello i am heather! i'm 23 years old and i'm just getting back into reading now that i don't feel like it's as much of a chore for school and all. my favorite series right now is the pretty little liars series and sara shepard is also my favorite author. i'm reading deadly little secret by laurie faria stolarz which is part of the touch series and i'm almost done it but really into it so far! i'm always looking for book recommendations and i'm very open to exploring different genres though ya books are my favoriteoh and anyone can add me :)
Hi, I'm Kainat! But I go by Kat. :) I'm 14, and my favourite author is Cassandra Clare! I love all her books! I also love The Fault in Our Stars, the Hunger Games, Vampire Academy,Harry Potter, Hush Hush,Looking for Alaska,Elixir, Fallen, and Divergent :)
Hello, I am Gloria. I live in Bogotá, Colombia. I am interested in many genres, but my favorite are romances: historical, time-travel, paranormal, etc.Anyone can add me.
hi i'm ingrid and i'm seventeen. my favorite book is
as for favorite author, I actually love Cassandra Clare and Rick Riordan! I spend a lot of time reading, not only books but also fan fictions.
I'm Patricia and I'm 14 years old. I also wish that I have enough funds to buy books as often as I want to but sadly, I don't so I can't.I can't really say what my favourite book is because I say that one book is my favourite until I read the next one so my favourite book constantly changes. Right now, my favourite book is The Fault In Our Stars which I've just finished reading and sobbing over. I love The Hunger Games and Divergent.
I really like dystopian books because it makes me wonder how one day, our world could end up like the one in the book. I don't dislike fantasy books but I just don't grasp the context of it. Maybe it's too far fetched for me or maybe I'm too close minded for it. I'd hate to admit it but I think the reason I don't read fantasy is because of the latter.
Hello everyone, so my name is Alexandra, and I'm 17 years old. Okay, favorite book, that's hard, I usually have difficulties choosing between things, and really I love so, so many books and it's not easy to choose. So I'll go with genres.
I try to read a little bit of everything, but I have to admit that my weakness are fantasy/paranormal and dystopian books with a little romance thrown in there, not too much though, a whole book just about romance is not really my thing.
Well I guess that's it :D :)
Hi! My name is Melissa, I'm 18 years old. My favorite books are The Host (Stephenie Meyer), One summer , The Perks of being a wallflower, The last song, Before I die, Harry Potter, and so much more!
I love reading and I wish I had enough money to buy ALL the books I love! :D
Thanks to Tumblr I've improved my English :) So, since a year and a half I read books in English. Before that I read books in Dutch, which is my first language.
Feel free to message me or follow me or whatever ;)
Have a wonderful day! xx
Hi! My name is Lisa and i live in Sweden. I am 17 years old and have loved reading as long as I can remember. My favorite books are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Hunger Games, A Song of Ice and Fire, Gallagher Girls, Tomorrow, Leviathan, Jellicoe Road and The Book Thief, too name a few.
I also have a book blog in Swedish (http://bladvandaren.blogspot.com)!
My name is Melanie and I don't have a particular favorite book, because it is simply impossible to list just one. I can say I am a huge fan of Jennifer Armentrout, J R Ward, Karen Marie Moning, Colleen Hoover, SC Stevens, Jamie McGuire, KA Linde, and Justin Cronin. I love a good series, because I tend to become way too attached to my characters to see them go after one book! I just finished City of Bones last night, liked it, but the ending threw me for a loop. Happy Reading...
Hello, my name is Vera, I'm 15 years old and I live in Finland :)I'm too picky with the books I read, and it's kinda annoying because I definitely want to read so much more. And I'm a slow reader, sometimes it takes me forever to finish a book (I started to read The Return of the King in march, and I haven't finished it yet! But I started to read it again yesterday).
My favorite genres are probably YA and fantasy, and my favorite book series are Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and Percy Jackson. And I really love The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell.
Feel free to recommend a book for me, message me or add me as a friend :) Bye!
Hello, my name is Sandi, I'm 23 and I can't really pick just one book as a favorite. I love to read and will give any book a shot. Can't say you don't like it until you've read it right? I guess at the moment a few of my favorite books are Paint It Black by Janet Fitch, she is the same author that wrote White Oleander which is also a really great book! The Perks of Being a Wallflower will always be in my top 5. Currently I'm reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series, though I'm still on the first book.
Hi everyone! My name is Elise and I'm 21 (ok I'm technically 20 but my birthday is next week so naturally i've been rounding up all month...) I'm a junior in college and am majoring in psychology and human development & family studies.I'm currently on winter break and am bored out of my mind so I'm kind of on a book binge. I like to read a lot of dystopian ya stuff, but I also like chick lit where the main character is in her 20s.
For favorites... I've read the Hunger Games and just finished the first two books of the Divergent series. Kite Runner is one of my recent favorites.
Feel free to add me if you wish!
Hi, my name is Monica and I'm 16 from Norway.I have a lot of favorite books and if you want to cheeck witch one's they are you can check my profile.
To give you an idea of what I like I will say that I loveThe Fault in Our Stars the TMI/TID series,The Hunger Games trillogie, The Ruby Red Trillogie etc. :)
Hello :) I'm Sarah, 24, AustraliaI work full time but luckily i get to read a lot at work! i'm currently reading Peter Pan, Clarissa and The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty. i can never handle just reading one book at a time for some reason!
i read mostly classics, my reading list is about 1027 books long, i'm only 4% through haha
i'm trying to branch out more into some more modern lit and some trending books, i tend not to read books that have become popular (so i haven't checked out hunger games, song of fire and ice, perks of being a wallflower, etc), not because i avoid them on purpose but i just have a natural preference for classic lit most of the time
and Margaret Atwood.. i LOVE her. :) feel free to add me if you want! always looking for new books to read so it'd be great to see what everyone else is up to :)
Hello, everyone ! My name is Anna,17. I live in USA , California. I am kind of a book monster, because I'd read so many books. I love classics as much as YA, fiction, adventure , philosophy ;) I would totally appreciate if you add me to friends and would suggest some more great books to read! Nice to meet you all ! ;)
Hello everyone! My name is Nelly and I'm 15. My favourite books include the Harry Potter series, The Perks of Being A Wallflower and Pride and Prejudice and I don't really have a favourite author. Feel free to add me :)
Hi, I'm Claire, I'm 14 and very paranoid. Right now I'm assuming none of you are stalkers or mass murderers or the like so I feel I can use my age (also I don't use my real name on here so... Yep I'm a little nutty). I obsess over books constantly. Occasionally, I'll have to take a break for a week or two, but other than that, I go through at least a book a week, more often than not two, sometimes three, and once I went through four... That was a really crazy week. I just love being able to forget everything and sink into someone else's life.My favorite book is... usually whatever I'm reading at the moment. I really liked Perks of Being a Wallflower and the Emperor's Edge series by Lindsay Buroker (read these if you can!). I also recently found the author Jessica Sorenson and I've liked what I've read so far. I don't really have a favorite genre either, just as long as the book has a good plot, strong characters, and plump but not obese descriptions (by which I mean I should be able to imagine it, but the descriptions shouldn't fill the book).
Hi everyone! My name is Stacy and I'm 36. I absolutely love books, hence the reason I'm here. :) I can't wait to go to bed each night to cuddle under the covers with a good book. I'd pick a book over TV any day of the week. I have too many favorite books to list from all genres. If it has believable characters, a good story to tell, and not too much fluff in descriptive details I'll more than likely love it.
Good morning evening afternoon and night. Toms the name, 22 and struggling at real life in Leeds. Will read anything (trying to become an author/better author and i think you shouldnt limit your reading) but outside that i prefer good fantasy (to much not to my liking, hence why im writing) or a...nope, fantasy or Poe
Hello fellow avid readers, my name is Vivian and I've reached the 16th year of my life! (great achievement!, earned some brownie points and conquered worlds) I just can't really pick favorites, i'm known to be pretty indecisive but what I can tell you are some of my recent reads that I like. The Fault in Our Stars The Night Circus The Perks of Being a Wallflower
My usual genres : contemporary, YA, classics, humor, fantasy, fiction and the arts. I joined for the simple reason to read and share books. That's all I have to say, it's nice meeting you all. :)
Hi! My name is Patricia and I'm 23 years old. I have a bunch of favorite books, but if I really had to pick a favorite I would have to say I love the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. I just can't get enough of it and I've read it millions of times.Genre-wise I really like fantasy, fiction, young adult, humor, romance, thriller, adventure, mystery and a bit of horror (but I have to feel brave to start and finish it). I have to say I will try any type of book and i'll make a huge effort to finish it even if I hate it (I despise knowing I didn't finish a book...there is no end to that sort of torment).
It's great meeting you all...this is my first group ever on this site so yey!
Patricia wrote: "Hi! My name is Patricia and I'm 23 years old. I'm new too, groups like these are still a novelty for me. So we'll work hard together, eh? (His Dark Materials seems interesting, my friend is a major fan of this series so I might start reading it soon.) :)

Hi all, I'm Tobey and am 27 years old. I'm from Ohio and can hardly remember a time when I haven't had a book at the tips of my fingers. As a result I have so many favorites that it'll be difficult to choose just a few but here goes. I love anything by Patricia Briggs and Kim Harrison. Recently I discovered Wen Spencer. Everything she writes is AMAZING. Most of what I read is Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and Romance.
Hey, I'm Ashley 27 year old Canadian. I used to be a big classics snob but John Green's writting managed to convince me contemporary lit can be pretty great and as such I read a fairly wide variety of books now. My all time favorites remain classics though, Jane Eyre, Peter Pan, and the Picture of Dorian Gray. I'm already loving the group so if you need any mod help in the future I am volunteering my services:-)
Hi everyone, my name is Michelle I am 32. My love of reading started at young age with the help of my grandmother. I just love to read. I have many different genres I read so picking a favorite book or genre is just not possible for me. I'm hoping to broaden my range of books and authors even more. So I'm hoping this group can help me do that and that I may be able to introduce people to something new as well. Happy reading!!!
Hi everyone. My name is Shaheryar and I am 25 years old from Pakistan. Answering the favourite author and book question would be difficult but I just read American Gods by Neil Gaiman which I just loved. My favourite genres would be fantasy, psychological (A Clockwork Orange, Metamorphosis etc), crime and thrillers, mysteries, philosophical etc. I am a filmmaker and I believe that my love of books and stories made me go towards this path. Telling stories is what I do and always wanted to do. Looking forward to know you guys better and help each other out. Happy Reading!
Hi, I'm Nancy and I love all kinds of books but mostly mystery, true crime, some fantasy and what is called cozy books. But, I will try other things as well. I just love to read. I hope to get some good suggestions from this group.
Hello everyone, I'm Michelle. I'm 26 years old, and I've been an avid reader all my life. In my spare time, I like to write, also (mostly romance, but I do a little fantasy, too).It would be impossible for me to list just one favorite, so I will have to pick a few. I especially loved the third book in the Song of Ice and Fire series: A Storm of Swords. Just recently finished Water for Elephants and loved it. But really, I can fall in love with just about any book, depending on mood and quality of writing.
Hello! my name is Sidrah, Im 20 years old and I live in the Netherlands. Im so glad I found this site 2 years ago, and my passion for books grew that year. I try talking to my friends but they are anti-readers/: so I'm really looking forward to have common interest with you guys:D
oh! and I almost forgot, my two top favorite series are:
Evernight by Claudia Gay
&
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead(:
I'm Kristine,I'm 20 and college student so I spend a lot of time reading between classes. My favorite series is Maximum Ride by James Patterson at least up until the fourth book. I also like the authors Terry Prachett, Lemony Snicket, Suzanne Collins, Joss Whedon, and Holly Black. I really like the general fantasy/scifi genre but there are a few contemporary books I've fallen for.
I'm Kat, I'm 15 and from Australia. It's hard to pick favourite books but I would have to say The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson, The Fault in our Stars by John Green and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë are definitely some of books I have enjoyed the most.
John Green and J.K. Rowling are my favourite authors.
Hi. I'm Patricia and I LOVE to read. Former English teacher - please don't use that against me - who loved her job. I am always looking for new books, even though I have a stack of them on my nightstand and another stack waiting for me on my Nook. Tough to pick a favorite, but a recent one is Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel. I have read all but one of Richard Russo's books and most of John Irving's books.
Wrote my first book, a memoir, and published it in 2011. The title is The Red Skirt, Memoirs of an Ex Nun. Yes, I was a nun once - a long time ago!
