4bravecats Here's a fiction/detective story. Stef Penney's "The Invisible Ones". Takes place in Britain, and the protagonist is 1/2 Romany. He's been hired by a Romany man to find his missing daughter. Gave some good insights into how the Romanies fit or don't fit into British society.

4bravecats One more. A huge story of an extended Romany family in Bohemia in the 20's, 30's and 40's. Much detail of daily life and customs >>> "Fires in the Dark" by Louise Doughty.
