I think romance is the main difference. Behind the Tears has more romance than Behind the Hood, plus it focuses more on relationships than revenge. I know everything is to do with relationships, but the chase scene in chapter one sets up Behind the Hood, whereas Behind the Tears is not set on something that happens, it's more how the dynamics of relationships work. I hope that makes sense.

Also, Behind the Tears only has one letter from the bad guy's viewpoint, whereas Behind the Hood has a lot of chapters from the bad guy from that book. I think Tama makes things dirtier, interesting though. But I am glad Chaz didn't get more viewpoints in bk2, because I don't want to read into his mind :) so thanks for that.
