message 38: by Beverly (last edited Jan 20, 2013 03:41PM) (new)

Beverly (bjbixlerhotmailcom) As a librarian, I have ready access to "Tolkien's World From A to Z: the Complete Guide to Middle-Earth," which, as you may guess, includes the name of every sentient being, creature, place and thing mentioned in the Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings, and the Silmarillion. For letters "Q," "X," "Y," and "Z" there are no listings for anything that appears in "Hobbit." But, according to this book, "V" is for "Vanyar" aka the Fair Elves or Light Elves, and "W" is for "Wargs" (I should have remembered them from the movie).

message 39: by Hope ♡ (new)

Hope ♡ This is harder than I thought!
