Tima wrote: "Do you have a favorite book you've read so far this year? :)"That's a tough choice. :-) I've been lucky to be able to listen to some fantastic readers and sometimes they really add to the book--raising my opinion of the book. The main reason I mention that is because the two books that really stand out are two that I've listened to. I really liked Scarlet by Marissa Meyer and Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor.
If we went with booked that I've actually read, I'd have to say The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams Chima and Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter.
However, I just noticed that all of those books are books in a series and none of them are the first in the series, so maybe I really liked them because I got to find out what happened next in the story. :-)
How about you? Any favorites yet?
I haven't gotten to give audio books a chance yet but I definitely want to give it a shot before the end of the year. I've seen numerous people say it can make or break a book. In some cases, people have said they liked a book more when they heard it then when they read it. My curiosity is high! I loved Scarlet, also. I gobbled that book up! Other than that, I think my favorite was Across the Universe by Beth Revis. It's the first in a trilogy. It was so good, I immediately had to put the other two on hold at the library haha!

I'll have one ear in to listen to the book and the other out to make sure my kids aren't killing each other. Or I'll listen when I'm traveling long distances--my parents live about an hour away. It makes the time go by so much faster.
I borrowed my friend's ARC of Across the Universe awhile ago and read it quickly, then I had forever to wait until the next book. And as it often happens, I've picked up other books and read them, and hadn't forgotten about the series, but it was on the back burner. I knew the second one was out, but I hadn't realized the third was out yet. Hmmm, I might have to take a trip to the library tomorrow. :-) Thanks!

Happy new year!"I love listening to books when the reader is good--it really can make a big difference. I've found with three little ones, sometimes audio books is the only way to get 'reading' in. I'll only plug one ear in while I clean the house, that way I can make sure nobody is killing each other. And I can keep my sanity by enjoying another world.
Happy New Year to you too!
I was going through my to-read list and found a book I read last year, so it looks like I made it! Yay!50- Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales: One Dead Spy by Nathan Hale
