Richard Kirsch (rakirsch) | 1 comments I am new to this website. I'd like to start a discussion about sci-fi/fantasy. I've always liked reading this genre if it has a basis in reality. I've less inclined to enjoy a story centering on a fictional planet, light years away. Therefore, I've written a short work called "Pine Woods". I hope it becomes the first of a series I want to call "Bicycle Tales." Each of my stories begin with places my sister, my cousin and me went on our bicycles in the 1950s. From there we have to save the world or some important quality of it in each adventure. More can be found at my website: http://www.bicycle-tales.com.

Yes, there is a fantasy element. We are aided in our quests by a magical stone discovered in "Pine Woods". It is a gift from Aralic and Benowin, an 8,000 year old brother and sister from Urgin. Urgin is a continent that sank 10,000 years ago and now rests 13 miles below the surface of the earth and 5 miles above the magma.

I'd love it if you would read my story. Thanks.
