Tell me a bit about yourself... are you a writer or reader - or both!?

I should probably tell you a bit about me to kick this off:

Writing and drawing is my passion and I simply can't function in daily life unless I'm creating something. I live in Rockhampton, in Central Queensland, Australia. I was born and raised there. It's a very sunny and sometimes very hot and dry regional city with roughly 80,000 people. I live with my wife and two fiery red-headed daughters.

My day job is as a public servant in public relations and I've been a slave to that particular machine for about 4 years. Before that I was a journalist for 8 years and worked on three newspapers in Queensland.

I have qualifications in communications and graphic design, but writing, drawing, reading horror and comics are what I really love to do. To me life should be all about doing what you love and loving what you do. My imagination is my escape route and hopefully one day I'll escape and never have to return.
