Clive Barker is one of the biggest influences in my writing. The Books of Blood are my favourite.

Jake | 1 comments I loved your novella The Noctuary and could strongly feel the Clive Barker influence. It was very well done.

Thanks Jake. If I could site an influence on The Noctuary it was obviously The Hellbound Heart. I didn't want to copy Barker, I wanted to create my own mythology and Barker's ideas and words centre around creation and myth and that's what I was aiming for.

There's a poll going over at Horror Aficionados about their February read - and they've picked Clive Barker (as they should!) They've got a selection of his best books, but I went for The Hellbound Heart of course!
