The Passage of Power question

I love how complicated Johnson is. You (okay, I) want to dislike him, even hate him. But then he shocks me by making achingly personal moves in civil rights... and then instantly loses me with the horror of the American incursion into Vietnam. Anyway, this book is a hell of a read. Kudos to Caro.
