I HOPE HADES GETS A COPY, BECAUSE I'M GOING TO DIE BEFORE THIS COMES OUT.
Doctor won't let me use his TARDIS and I'm all out of DeLoreans. Anyone got any ideas?

*laughs* Yep. The only way us fangirls are going to get to read this is probably after dying from emotional damage!

Curse you, Riordan, for making us suffer so cruely!
I highly recommend reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians before Heroes of Olympus.

xD Same here.
Booknut wrote: "Discuss Rick Riordan's upcoming (and probably emotionally damaging!) novel!"Oh it will definitely be emotionally damaging! Take the (view spoiler) cliffhanger from Mark of Athena! That shattered my heart in a million pieces!
After I read Mark of Athena, I was a wreck. I wandered listlessly around the house and randomly approached my brother to shake him and ask, "WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE YEAR FOR HOUSE OF HADES?!?!?!". I think he avoided me after the first few times.
I've done that for... So many books, yes, but I honestly don't get why everyone's dreaming over this.
Booknut wrote: "Brothers *shakes head* They just don't understand us grieving fangirls!!"I know! He read it and said, "What's the big deal?"

I honestly couldn't function. I would attempt something and somehow end up rereading the last chapter once again.

WHATS. THE. BIG. DEAL. ?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! OH I DON'T THINK SO!
So.. He writes eight books in interconnected series, and decides to only do a cliffhanger on the ninth!? What is this nonsense? It of course had to happen right when the plot got interesting D:
No offense to anyone, I'm a huge fan and everything, but I really don't see why everyone is freaking out.
Well, if you're anything like me, you grew up with Percy and Annabeth. They've been like family to you for years. That kind of connection isn't easily replicated.

With the Percy Jackson series all of the characters were young (around 12) and you got to get used to the world of demi-gods with them. With Heroes of Olympus though you're thrown right into the thick of things and most of the characters are a bit older (around 16 to 17). You don't have as much time to bond with the characters..... At least that's my theory.
*buries face in couch* TWO. MORE MONTHS!!! I don't know if it's just me,but I loved some of the new characters! (Leo,Reyna,Hazel.) The only one I really didn't like was Piper.
H99 wrote: "I mean, really, girl? You worry about Jason going after Reyna when the world is ending? If this were real life, I would say that it's good that they're trying to have a normal relationship despite ..."I TOTALLY agree!
I think Piper is really cool. I don't really have a problem with any of the characters.. Though I do love the originals far better than the new ones.
WordlesslyAmazed03 wrote: "Why does everyone hate Piper??"lol, because she thinks Jason is better than Percy :P
Oh, get off it. She's know Jason for years, and suddenly Percy comes in and she's expected to ditch the guy she likes and go over to Team Percy? She knows Jason, they're together. Percy doesn't care if she likes Jason more than him.

It's fine; I am just a naturally defensive person... Especially with book characters. Sorry if that sounded mean...
Three books, and whatever time she actually spent with him at school, right? Anyway, she knows him better than Percy.
No, I suppose I do get it... God knows I've felt that way before. Still, I'm just curious as to why one person can enjoy the chapters in her POV, or, as you put it, her "voice", and another hate it.
