I HOPE HADES GETS A COPY, BECAUSE I'M GOING TO DIE BEFORE THIS COMES OUT.

Doctor won't let me use his TARDIS and I'm all out of DeLoreans. Anyone got any ideas?

*laughs* Yep. The only way us fangirls are going to get to read this is probably after dying from emotional damage!

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Curse you, Riordan, for making us suffer so cruely!

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

I highly recommend reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians before Heroes of Olympus.

Oh it will definitely be emotionally damaging! Take the (view spoiler) cliffhanger from Mark of Athena! That shattered my heart in a million pieces!

message 17: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments Didn't bother me. Made me for pissed at the characters.

ღSophia {In the TARDIS} Winchesterღ (Sophie2luv) PERCY JACKSON LOVERS UNITE!!
tee hee, sorry guys, I just joined this group, aloha!

message 19: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 60 comments After I read Mark of Athena, I was a wreck. I wandered listlessly around the house and randomly approached my brother to shake him and ask, "WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE YEAR FOR HOUSE OF HADES?!?!?!". I think he avoided me after the first few times.

Brothers *shakes head* They just don't understand us grieving fangirls!!

message 21: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments I've done that for... So many books, yes, but I honestly don't get why everyone's dreaming over this.

I know! He read it and said, "What's the big deal?"

I feel you girl!! I honestly couldn't function. I would attempt something and somehow end up rereading the last chapter once again.

WHATS. THE. BIG. DEAL. ?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! OH I DON'T THINK SO!

message 25: by Lady Poppy (new)

Lady Poppy | 367 comments So.. He writes eight books in interconnected series, and decides to only do a cliffhanger on the ninth!? What is this nonsense? It of course had to happen right when the plot got interesting D:

message 26: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments No offense to anyone, I'm a huge fan and everything, but I really don't see why everyone is freaking out.

message 27: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments My thoughts exactly. That's why I'm not just going to stop reading the series.

message 28: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments Well, if you're anything like me, you grew up with Percy and Annabeth. They've been like family to you for years. That kind of connection isn't easily replicated.

message 29: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments Thanks.

That's not a sob-worthy cliffhanger. You're right. However, th..."

With the Percy Jackson series all of the characters were young (around 12) and you got to get used to the world of demi-gods with them. With Heroes of Olympus though you're thrown right into the thick of things and most of the characters are a bit older (around 16 to 17). You don't have as much time to bond with the characters..... At least that's my theory.

message 31: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 869 comments True, very true

Ricky Davis (heeyyyricky) | 8 comments *buries face in couch* TWO. MORE MONTHS!!! I don't know if it's just me,but I loved some of the new characters! (Leo,Reyna,Hazel.) The only one I really didn't like was Piper.

I TOTALLY agree!

message 34: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments Why does everyone hate Piper??

message 35: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 869 comments I don't hate her she just isn't a very relatable character in my opinion

message 36: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments She's relatable to me...

message 37: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 869 comments Oh...

message 38: by Lady Poppy (last edited Aug 04, 2013 08:28PM) (new)

Lady Poppy | 367 comments I think Piper is really cool. I don't really have a problem with any of the characters.. Though I do love the originals far better than the new ones.

message 39: by Emily (new)

Emily | 17 comments WordlesslyAmazed03 wrote: "Why does everyone hate Piper??"

lol, because she thinks Jason is better than Percy :P

message 40: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments Oh, get off it. She's know Jason for years, and suddenly Percy comes in and she's expected to ditch the guy she likes and go over to Team Percy? She knows Jason, they're together. Percy doesn't care if she likes Jason more than him.

message 41: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 869 comments Well she only thinks she's known Jason for years...

message 42: by talltyrion (new)

i didn't mean to offend you. that is just why some of the people i know don't like her.

message 44: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments It's fine; I am just a naturally defensive person... Especially with book characters. Sorry if that sounded mean...

message 45: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments Three books, and whatever time she actually spent with him at school, right? Anyway, she knows him better than Percy.

message 46: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments WHAT attitude??

message 47: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments We can't hear her voice!

message 48: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments No, I suppose I do get it... God knows I've felt that way before. Still, I'm just curious as to why one person can enjoy the chapters in her POV, or, as you put it, her "voice", and another hate it.

message 49: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments Yeah, same with me and Clary Fray.

message 50: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 869 comments I'm assuming so, who else has the name Clary Fray? (Not being snippy, just curious)
