Has anyone seen the movie yet?

I have read the book and seen the film (and the stage show a few times..)

The film is good. Enjorlas, Eponine and Gavroche were all amazing (as was the young Cosette actually). I think that it incorporated key moments from the stage show well and also included a few extra details from the book, which I really liked.

Also, to anyone who has read the book - does anyone else agree with me that Marius is the most annoying character ever created? He is appalling! I never liked him in the show, but when I read the book I hated him.

Want to read Les. Hope I can find a free online version. Saw a sample from Amazon Kindle, but I don't have money to spend on books. Maybe I'll have to stop being lazy and goto the library.

I saw the movie (I did a little review here but it wasn't a very helpful one (view spoiler)[C'était un film déplaisant d'une manière merveilleuse. Sale et humide, les personnages n'impliquaient pas la vie de confort que vous trouveriez et ignoriez dans la majorité des films ou dans la vie de tous les jours. Quand les personnages crièrent de joie dû à la miséricorde de Jean Valjean, ça semblait sincère et juste qu'ils le reçoivent, car leur vie ne pouvait devenir plus « misérables ». C'est rafraîchissant que les mains d'un seul homme changèrent tellement les vies pour le bon. Sauf que lui, hypnotisé par son crime du passé ne pouvait jamais apprécier son propre coeur. Javert fut celui qui a démontré l'enjeu en étant complètement ignorant à la vie des autres, collé dans ça propre misère, il était vraiment un policier auto corrompu. Quel merveilleux comédien. Au moins, je suis consolé que Jean Valjean se connaissait à la fin. N'importe où durant l'histoire il aurait pu se perdre pour les raisons de sa santé mentale et oui, il la fait. Il s'est vraiment perdu, mais jamais en se rendant incapable d'aimer. En tout cas, c'était une histoire à ce perdre. Par la fin du film, je ne pouvais plus me souvenir de mon propre nom. J'étais choqué, j'ai vraiment aimé ça. Attention : Passé par la salle de toilettes avant le film. Vous n'allez pas pouvoir y aller pour presque trois heures. Notamment si vous avez passé l'âge de 70 ans, c'est vraiment important.

Please, by all means see it in the big screen. I've yet to watch the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, however it seems right to watch that one in big screen with even more urgency than les Miserables given the Miserables is very up close.


My next barricade is the book. I find the book complicated in the way that it's not easy to slip into for me. It has many little numbers telling that something was hinting to a twist of the time which continuously brakes the reading pace so I can check the back for why that was pointed out.

Okay, so to update my above post. I've found a couple online versions, but some are missing pages in the previews, while others have different numbering systems. It's no longer January, but I started reading and Les Miserables is good so far. Bonswa

I'm going to see the film today :D

I went to see the film a while back, it was awesome. I cried. The acting was amazing, the songs were good, even great (though none were stuck in MY head later, my brother watched it with his girlfriend a week later and he had a couple of songs suck in his head, and therefor humming them, for what seemed like forever. And songs getting stuck in head is always a good sign.).

I have an extremely soft spot for both Eponine and Marius..mainly Marius because Eddie Redmayne (the actor) is such a cute guy, and he's amazingly humble and modest about his acting.

Oh yeah! what about Aaron Tveit?!
