I think I've got Lead With Your Left somewhere in my myriad of unread books.
(I'm a bit pc-illiterate - I'd have linked to the title if I knew how!)

aha - thanks, I'll try next time!
Lacy is an author I've been meaning to try out. It looks like the copyrights have expired on his works, and many of his titles can be had for free here:http://www.munseys.com/detail/mode/au...

I was filing away vintage paperbacks I've had randomly arranged in a kind of improvised TBR shelf (actually shelves) this afternoon. As I was alphabetizing these random paperbacks, I cane across my Ed Lacy's.
I remember reading 2 of Ed Lacy's novels years and years ago & recall really liking them. They were private eye numbers is all I can remember.
My question:
Can you read Ed Lacy at random or are the novels inter-connected and refer back to events in previous novels?
Ed Lacy is a good writer. I went on a Lacy kick last year which pretty much started me on my current 50s paperback Noir run. Blonde Bait (1959), Strip for Violence, and The Woman Aroused I found at Munseys - all good books. Room to Swing is in my queue and Bugged for Murder on the bookshelf.

Interesting to see the attitudes of the time regarding race.
