Vampire Knight, Vol. 1 question

He's in her brother's body, so they're brother and sister enough; and even if you're going to squabble more, it's still his great granddaughter. Is that really better?

My problem with Kaname isn't that he's evil per se; I do understand that he's conflicted too. It's his personality, manipulativeness and excessively selfish actions that really make me hate him- I've literally never had such strong feelings towards a fictional character before. Zero was honest and never put himself before Yuki, to the point of giving her up to Kaname if that's what made her happy. Kaname would never do something so selfless, instead he tricked Yuki into going with him (when there was really no need to).

Some of the things he says are borderline abusive, too. He practically guilted Yuki into not chasing Zero.

I hate Kaname Kuran a lot. Like, a lot a lot, and there any many reasons why I don't like him, they are similar reasons to why I hate Yuki. But, that list is very long, so I don't want to bore you all with it. Let's just say, I hate Kaname so much that every single time I see him while I'm watching the show or reading the manga, I literally have to fight it not to turn it off or shut the book, which is actually a lot for me.

I wish the manga could've finished with Yuki and Zero instead! I don't want her to be with Kaname! So sad....Poor Zero, he loves her so much.

Zero is really hot.

Kaname Kuran is manipulative, selfish, cunning, self-centred, a liar, and he uses everyone else like they don’t matter.
Sure, he might look good but I hate him a lot.

Zero only wants Yuki. He would die if he too just to protect her. Kaname would use and kill others instead of letting himself die to protect her.

Simple And Obvious Fact: Kaname should burn. Zero X Yuki is way better.

Kaname used everybody. Especially Zero. He made him into his creation. Kaname used Yuki. He called his "friends" pawns in his game! Kaname is cunning and a huge liar. He is mysterious. Yuki barely knows anything about him. Sure, he saved your life. But Zero has done the same plenty of times. Zero and Yuki would make a much better match. Zero would care for Yuki and wouldn't lie to her, unlike someone else. Zero is a way better person for Yuki. Zero is kind of like Kaname's opposite.

I don't hate Kaname but I like Zero much much better and he's a better fit for Yuki.

Zero is way better than Kaname. Zero deserves to be with Yuki, Kaname is just creepy.

I hate Kaname with a strong passion. From the first episode of the anime I knew he was going to be trouble. Plus he's in love with his great^6 granddaughter. Tell me that's NOT creepy.

If I don't talk about Zero, I still hate Kaname. I hate Kaname so much that I can't explain with words. In season 2 and rest of the manga, when I see his face, I say 'Damn it! This moron again?! ' and If we talk about why I hate him so much:
He is fckn so SELFISH. He just things Yuki's and his own life and heppiness. He don't even things other charachters happiness or whatever. He's just ORDERING EVERYONE LIKE HE KNOWS EVERYTHING AND HE IS THE KING OF THE WORLD.

I HATE KANAME!!! On of my friends is in LOVE with him and I just cannot see it... His English voice is so monotone and annoying, he has a REALLY bothersome and obsessive personality... I actually disliked most of the characters in this anime (mostly Kaname and Yuki) but Kaname is just... no... I cannot stand him... Am I the oly one who hates Kaname? I actually liked Zero, my friend and I were talking in class and she said that she liked Zero but didn't like him as much as Kaname because he told Yuki he'd kill her and I responded with "Good. I hate her too." and walked away...

Kaname and Yuki aren't actually brother and sister. Kaname's uncle replaced Yuki's brother with an ancient pureblood. It's really complicated and they don't really go into it enough in the anime but it's explained better in the manga.

Kaname also isn't evil, he's just as conflicted and tortured as Zero but in a different way, because of his past. He made a promise that he's having trouble keeping (death to all purebloods) and he has to decide whether to keep that promise or spend the rest of his life peacefully with Yuki.

I love Kaname and Zero both, but for different reasons. I don't think of Kaname as a pedophile, he was only a teenager when she was a child and he wasn't attracted to her then. As she grew up he gave her whatever she needed from him, be it a brother or as she grew older, a lover.

Kaname is really creepy. I like creepy thing, but he.... I love Zero better than Kaname!

Kaname was the first guy that you actually see in the manga, I think. So I was attracted to him first, naturally. Then, I saw Zero. I FELL IN LOVE. And then the plot thickens, and EVERYONE sees that Kaname is Evil. I still like Kaname but he is so open (to the viewers/readers), whereas Zero is the mysterious, and keep people guessing about his thoughts. THIS is why i like ZERO more than KANAME.

yeah right.i like kaname too.but i like zero too.i can't choose any one of them..it is difficult on my part.

i actually like zero cuz i think kaname is a little bit overprotective of yuuki and i dont like the way he treats the other characters

OMG! im sooo shocked! how the **** do ppl actually like Kaname more? Zero is conflickted and evrything, and Kaname steals Yuki from Zero. And on top of that, Yuki and Kaname are SIBLINGS and apparently in pure-blood families, ur supposed to marry/love ur siblings like a life partner... how twisted sick is that?

Srsly Zero shud have had Yuki instead... and Zero doesnt evn care for any other girl apart from Yuki..
