Not ready to do so many books this year, but I'm dedicated to doing 10 this year, seeing as I haven't read a proper book in 8 years or so.

Im with ye buddy.I would love to be able to do it but i read critical and slow as hell, there is no way im hitting 50,but gonna aim for as much as i can,my list is growing extensive.
I recently created a book club at my college. Our book for January was the Litigators, and February is going to be Enders game. Hopefully i can get this and my book club sync, if not then it looks like i will be reading more then i planned for 2013.
Right there with you, I pretty much only have time to listen to audiobooks on my daily commute, so it takes me about a month or so to 'read' each book. Looking forward to some good recommendations though.

Same! Between reading for my masters classes and work, I'm hoping to be able to at least catch 10 book this year! Glad I'm not alone.
I work a full time job and in the evenings I go to college, so if I can get 10 books in this year it would be awesome! Side note, I also have other addictions to tend to so it will be pretty hard to keep up >.<
I'll join you all. Too busy with uni and work to be able to fit in 50.10 sounds like a good target to get back into reading.
I read pretty heavily and I'm not even sure I'll be up to 50. 30, maybe.I guess it all depends on the books.
If we're doing lighter reading, then I could probably do all 50 without much issue.
But if you start adding some of the heavy reads people are recommending, it could be a lot more difficult.
Especially to people that don't have a lot of time to read.
Still looking forward to the challenge.
I have a lot of free time working nights; last year I read 47 books. This year I have the goal of 53.If I did not have this work schedule I have no idea how I would meet that goal though.
Agreed, with school and teaching I don't have a ton of free time (plus I spend time on YouTube and such), but I'm hoping to join in on the ones I haven't read that either are on my to read list or strike me as interesting. Luckily for me I already read the next two on the list so I can start on a later book once I finish the one I'm on right now (unrelated, but it's Sailor Song if anyone is interested).
I don't know if I can read these exact books. The library near me... it basically doesn't exist it is that pathetic. But I will as much as I can. Definitely going for 50 or more

Check if your library is part of a system that you can borrow within and have the book delivered to your local library. Interlibrary Loan is another option as well.

Yours might be able to do this.
Ask them and see how quickly they can get books sent to them.
Good luck.
