Hehehe! you only need to read the one that was selected for you. But... feel free to add the other titles to your wishlist. :)
I will wait to see the reaction of those book readers before adding them all to my already toppling TBR. I have started reading
What a Mother Knows
I started Goodnight Nobody and I'm liking it so far. hopefully it won't disappoint! I think I will wait to see what people think of their books before I take down titles! Right now I feel like I won't live long enough to read all the books I want to read - and when you figure that new ones come out each year! (LOL)
I won't be starting mine quite yet, as it's a toppler book. But yes, there are a number of books on that list i can see might be added to my TBR.
Enjoy all!
Enjoy all!

I know, I know. I just marvel on the book list
Anna wrote: "I know, I know. I just marvel on the book list ..."Ahhh - you have the same bug as the rest of us. :)
Here is my review for Along Came a Doghttp://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I've finished mine as well. I read Heron's Cove
and my review is posted here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Yeah. I wanted to get on it right away, as mine was a sequel to a book I read a year or so ago. It helps to have to read a book I already wanted to read ;-)
Done. http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...The Bridges of Madison County
I'd like to thank Mme TF for choosing this book, but as it has ripped at my heart and made me cry I'm not sure I can ;-)
Off to cry myself to sleep now....... Zzzzzz. *sob sob*
Janice wrote: "Here is where you will report when you finish the book and link your review. Yes, you read that correctly! In order to receive a badge for this challenge, you must write a review and link it here..."
As a newbie and not having done this before, could you provide instructions on how to link a review? Sorry to be a neophyte but ...... Helen #2
No problem, Helen. Go to your review and highlight the URL at the top of your browser. Do a CTR C. Then come here to your message and paste the link (CTR V).
Thanks much - I had assumed it was some special HTML protocol like underlining etc that I wasn't figuring out. But no -- just a simple copy and paste. Duh!! That I can handle. Gracias!!
Lynn - now is the time to look at the other four books that you put in the fruitcake machine and see if there is a better one. Perhaps our resident gypsy will run them through her crystal ball again. The good news about reading a book you don't care for is that there is one less book out there you won't like. Choose again -good luck. Helen #2
Hey Ms Tutti Fruiti. What's the rule if we abandon our book? Only read a few pages, but it's making me wonder already if I need a contingency plan.
I think I said way back in the first messages about the challenge that if you really couldn't stomach the book that the fruit machine spit out for you, I could put the remaining four books back in and give it another spin. But you'll need to remind me.... and bribe me. :)
so I'm writing from bed past midnight from many phone. please please please can I have a new book too oh mistress of the fruit machine? I'll explain tomorrow, promise.
Judy, your new selection is The Tie That Binds, but haven't you read that one already? Rusalka, your new selection is Wolves of the Crescent Moon
Sorry about that. It was a matter of urgency as the book got thrown out the bedroom door and I needed to know what book to take to work today (not that I'll get to read it. Work has started with a vengeance and I have just been told I get no interns this year, so I'm doing 3 jobs! Yay!).So my reasonings as stated on the AtW thread last night for abandoning A State of Symmetry are:
"12 pages in the guy uses too may commas (HAH! Pot. Kettle. Black.), refers to every character by their full name (not just Joe Blogs, but Joe Alfred Blogs) every time they are mentioned, and seems to think he's the modern reincarnation of Homer (chooses a bad epithet and repeats it ad nauseam).
I was ticked off at 5 pages. I'm very grumpy at 12. There may be fire at 20 if it doesn't pick up."
I lasted until p26. The guy also doesn't believe in quotation marks so it was all jumbled together who was speaking when and if they had paused or if they were telling you that they looked off into the distance - using their full names of course. For I while I was trying to work out if everyone in South Africa thought of themselves in the third person.
A complete garbled mess. So thank you Janice!!
And now, for some good news, I enjoyed my book. The Fruit Machine prognosticated true for me.
Scrapbook of Secrets, by Mollie Cox BryanMy review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Judy wrote: "Yes, I have read it. Could we try one more spin of the fruit mixer? Thanks, Jan. :-)"Okay, Judy, here you go... Invisible Cities. I checked and you haven't read it.
Janice wrote: "Wow! That is some first sentence, Jane. I'm glad you enjoyed your book. :)"The mom didn't even realize the knife was in her neck - lol.
You're intrigued now, aren't you.
Jane in SC wrote: "You're intrigued now, aren't you."Yes, I've added it to my every growing wishlist. I should change the name of that shelf to HeLa Cells.

I had started this a while back, and got so bored I had to set it aside. Now I'm thinking I probably won't pick it back up again.

There are some (actually a lot) of people who seem to love it, so anyone who hasn't tried to read it then I wouldn't tell them not to. However if you've started it already and given up then no, I wouldn't bother picking it back up.
I finished
Meh. I used to look forward to reading Mercedes Lackey every Christmas when DH got them for me. Now, I dunno if it's a change in her writing or my tastes, but I find myself disappointed.
Here's my review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
I just realized I finished my book late last week and forgot to mention it on here! Whoops! I don't know how to link this to my review but I'll try to figure it out! Can you make another roll of the fruit for me please?
Thanks Lynn! I'm a little computer challenged it seems especially so on this site! Here's my review! This was my third of the author's books and I have enjoyed each of them tremendously. Her characters are real, 3 dimensional and a little quirky! The plots are involved but not complicated or difficult to follow. It had a nice mixture of mystery, murder, friendship, motherhood and marriage in it to make a nice balance! I will definitely continue to read Jennifer Weiner's books.
I have finished my book for this challenge, State of Wonder. I did enjoy the book overall in spite of there being some problems with pacing and character development. My review is here.
