Quite a few of us in this group are authors and as we all know reviews are what get our books noticed. With that said I'm looking for some people to review my first book. I will gladly return the favor if that would help. It is only available on the Kindle at this time and because of that I do have to pay for each copy of the E-book so I'm only able to do this for about 5 people. You can read a sample of the book on my Goodread's blog or my Wordpress blog which can be found on my author page. Thanks for the support in advance!

This is just what I am looking for to review. So let me know if you are still interested. I want to review books with a fantasy theme including dragons which are recently published and have not been reviewed or have only a few reviews. I will put my review on amazon and here on goodreads. I don't want to just review your book without correspondence. My first review was in the following link: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... produced no correspondence and I felt disconnected from the author. I am trying to get into the author community so that we get to know each other and become friends. We don’t have to do favors for each other in exchange for other favors we can just be friends and get to know one another.

I look forward to giving you a timely and honest review based on my review system. I don't just give cursory opinions I try to delve into the elements of storytelling (as I see them) individually.

Below is the system I have come up with for giving reviews for full length novels:

In writing this review of TITLE OF BOOK by Author of Book, as with any review I do, I will be referring to each star of the five-star rating system as individual elements of the story. Each star is divided into two parts, of which each part can receive half a star. The five elements of storytelling are: Idea, Plot, Characters, Setting, and Theme. Idea is divided into the parts: Hook and World; Plot is divided into the parts: Conflict and Climax; Characters is divided into the parts: Development and Dimension; Setting is divided into the parts: Scenes and Senses; and Theme is divided into the parts: Lesson and Epiphany. As this is not a critique, I will not go into much detail, not only to ward off spoilers, but also for brevity's sake. In the case that there is a half star attached to the rating I will use the Conclusion section as the tie breaker. The Conclusion section will consist of Style and Grammar. I will give + ½ star for a good rating in this section and -½ star for a poor rating in this section.

I normally give reviews in 1 week from receiving the book.

I read your book and reviewed it. I am new to reviewing so I hope I did not offend you. I know its a lower rating than you are used to but I think I put more effort in to it than the other reviewers did. Well, I hope we can still be friends. :D Notwithstanding, I found a lot of similarities between your book and my book The Dragon Stratagem, Soul Blaster. Even so, I got a one line review with 3 stars. I know readers can do better then that. My review of your book was 1000 words long!

Hi John, I have actually read your review already. I think it was well thought and I like the fact that you have a method to how you did your review. I wasn't offended in the least. It was honest and well thought out and I enjoyed reading it. I've never believed that every review should be a four or five star review. Of course we can still be friends. Cool, good, I was afraid that my review style was overly critical. I know we care a lot about our writing. It is a part of us just like a family member or beloved pet. Well that's what I think about it any way. I do feel a little apprehension when I do reviews. I know if i did not have a method to refine my review It would be hard to know if it was going to get a high rating for being a good review. I am trying to get on the highly rated reviewers list on amazon.com. I think it will be a friendly gesture to do reviews for those who don't get many, and make everyone feel well treated.
