Yes. A couple of us own Annihilation already and decided to read it together in June, so I thought I'd go ahead and start up a discussion board in anticipation. As we read, we can post our thoughts and any group questions here.
A few days ahead, I'll check to see who else on GoodReads might be reading the book at the same time and send out a few invites to liven up the conversation.
Reading officially starts June 1st.

I've finished the first chapter, and it's full of clues to the book's mysteries. Or maybe they're not clues. I think I'll start a thread for Chapter 1 for us to look at the clues and give our best guesses as to what's going on. Be on the lookout for it after you read the first chapter. :-)
Well I started reading, in the middle of chapter 1, so I won't read the thread about it until done. But the atmosphere of chapter one is 'unsettling', weird. So far, I have to say, I like the tension building and the weirdness in the story. And what's going on exactly.... What also fascinates me is the division of the several reviewers on the book so far on goodreads. Highs and lows. I'll be back when I finished chapter 1.

Wow. For some reason that sculpture feels just as creepy as the Annihilation tower/tunnel...
I think that it is like saying potato or potato....well you know what I mean. It is about perspective. I was like the biologist and thought of it as a tower. Even though many of the characters thought it was a tunnel.

This is for general discussion. Please put spoilers behind cuts. Thanks.
