Lucy burst out the back door, taking in a large breath of the fresh air. As usual, Lucy felt like jumping up and down with joy because of the simplest things, today for instance because the weather was so nice. She hovered out onto the porch slowly, but as soon as she saw there were no young impressionable students about, she kicked off her shoes and shot up into the air, doing several cartwheels and flips along the way. Doing a sort of dive back down towards the earth, she slowed herself down until she finally stopped, her face a mere foot away from the ground. Quickly straightening herself, she floated right side up, but her delighted smile stuck across her face. "Good, morniiiing!" She sang across the field to no one in particular.

Milomir was not one who often attended classes. Being here more for safety than to learn, he played hooky more often than not. The truth to the matter of his nonattendance stems partly from his past. He doesn't like being in class, not because he doesn't want to learn, but because he does not know how to read or write, which makes it hard to learn whats written on the board or within the books. But, he has never willingly admitted to not knowing to read or write, he'd rather people believe he's a.....whatever they call someone who doesn't attend school here in America. His use of the American language was still poor, and it wasn't uncommon for him to simply speak in his native tongue of Russian instead.

Stretched out on the roof of the school/mansion, he had finally relaxed and slipped into a slumber beneath the warm heat of the sun, only to be woken by someone being loud. He jerked up, startled, and lost his grip on the roof, tumbling off of it and only just barely keeping from injuring himself by grabbing the gutter and swinging down instead of just falling. Landing nearby a teacher, he immediately stiffened, prepared for a lecture for a class he likely was supposed to be in at the moment.

Lucy felt exhilirated, and perhaps she would have done it again, had a student she remembered having a sexy russian name not landed right by her. She silently scolded herself for being so irresponsible in front of an immpressionable student, but kept a cheery smilee on her face. "Goooood morning!" She said to him, briefly wondering where he had come from before refocusing her attention on him. "How's your morning been- er- mister...?" She trailed off, uncertain of his name. What was it again? Milom? Mirom? Milmor? ((MILOMIR YOU IDIOT!!!))

Oh well, she would get hs name anyway when he answered. Strange though, she usually remembered the names of most her students... Oh, wait a second! This was the one who always skipped classes! Now she remembered! Well, still not his name, but she remembered him! Lucy was sso pleased, that she hardly even registered the fact that he was the kid who regularly skipped classes.

Milomir yawned cutely, blinking up at her with a sleepy expression on his face and his hair ruffled with sleep. What was she saying? Something about morning.....was he supposed to be in her class this morning? He had no idea, he didn't know which teachers taught which classes. He could vaguely remember the teacher who taught the control of powers class, but that was about it.

He tilted his head for a moment, trying to piece together what she said with his limited English vocabulary before saying with a heavy russian accent, "Morning? Ah, yes um.....how you say....am Milomir....and um....nicing meeting you?" he hesitated, wondering if he'd said the right words.

Lucy might have quickly reminded him what she had done was dangerous and irresponsible and she dearly apologized for being a terrible example, but then he gave the most adorable little yawn, and she instantly put both hands over her mouth. "Aww! Your so cute!" She squealed unashemedly. And just look at his messy hair! He must have just been napping! Just like a little kid! "Absolutely adorable..." She murmured, wanting to cuddle him and tell him bedtime stories and sing him lullabies.

And then he tilted his head to the side! And, even more adorably, it seemed as if he hardly knew any english! Lucy squealed a little before a smile engulfed her already glowing face. "Aren't you just the cutest!" She squealed, already feeling motherly towards him. She had a terrible habit where anybody who even slightly acted like a little kid even once, would immediatly be subject to her maternal praising and cooing. But then then this boy, Milomir, he acted like a child in so many ways it was almost too asorable for Lucy to handle. "It's my pleasure Milomir!" She said loudly, hovering excitedly.

message 7: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki)
Milomir blinked up at her with big eyes when she squealed, wondering if he did something wrong until he saw the large smile on her face, followed by her hovering off of the ground. Well....you don't see that everyday.....actually, technically at a place like here you do but still. "Cut....est?" he echoed, trying to place the word in his mind. But he hadn't been complimented since he was brought to America, and the compliments he got in Russia.....well, they weren't exactly the kind of compliments he'd ever want to hear again.

Shaking his head sharply to attempt to avoid slipping into thoughts of before, he looked up at the lady again, not knowing her name. Deep in the depths of his eyes, something dark lingered, ready to escape should he feel in danger, as he often did when his memories dragged him down in their tortured embrace. "Mmmm...." he hesitated, trying to remember the words. "Name.....is....yours?" he asked slowly, trying to learn her name in an attempt to try and remember who she was. He had relaxed somewhat now that she didn't seem upset at him for not attending classes and did not seem intent on lecturing him (not that he would understand most of the lecture anyways).

"Oh my gosh yes you are the absolute cutest!" Lucy gushed, barely refraining from pinching his cheeks. "And your adorable accent!" She squealed, wanting to give him a sticker for being so incredibly adorable. And then he asked her name! But in the most adorable way ever! Was it even possible to be that cute? Obviously, because Milomir was here and made puppies and kittens pale in comparison "My name is Lucy! What a sweetie for asking!" She praised, already giddy. Today was just so amazing, how could she not be absolutely delighted?

message 9: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki)
Milomir tilted his head to the side quizzically, like a puppy hearing a new noise for the first time, attempting to make sense of the new words he was hearing. She was smiling and very happy, that much was clear, so the words she was using were happy or good words. But that's about as far as his knowledge went on the matter.

He hesitated for a moment, then smiled shyly up at her, lifting a hand to brush his hair out of his bright blue eyes. "I am...how you say...." his brow furrowed as he tried to remember the words, then gave up and slipped into his native tongue. "Priyatno poznakomit'sya." he smiled as he finally said something exactly how he meant to say it, then realized after a beat that he'd spoken to her in Russian and it was entirely possible she had no idea what he just said, and he just stood there, staring up at her with the ghost of a smile on his face, unsure of what to do. Interacting with people was not exactly his forte.

"OH MY GOSH LOOK AT YOU!" He tilted his head to the side in the cutest possible way! Forget kittens and puppies, this boy trumped baby pandas!!! BABY PANDAS! AND TODDLERS!!! AND LITTLE MONKEYS! COMBINED! Lucy was quivering from excitement, and just because all that energy had to go somewhere, she flew in a tight circle before returning in front of Milomir. When he spoke again, Lucy ate up every single word, wishing she had a recorder with her. And then he spoke in russian! Lucy hardly even registered that she in fact had no idea what he said "Yes I agree your the absolute most adorable thing ever!" She squealed, clapping her hands as if he had put on an incrdible show. Honestly, Lucy just needed some way to use all the energy she suddenly had, and she didn't care much how, even if it meant arbitarily clapping. "Come! We have to do something together! Perhaps take a walk? Or maybe fly? Whatever you want!" She exclaimed, eagerly awaiting his response, once again forgetting their language barrier.

message 11: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki)
Milomir was honestly not sure how to respond to her words. He had kind of lost her after she raised her voice in happiness and zipped around him in a circle. Plus, he hadn't had much time to take his nap before he'd been woken from her and his subsequent almost fall off the roof. So it came as no surprise to him that after she spoke, seeming to wait for his response, all he managed was a yawn and lifting his hand to rub at his eyes sleepily. Not entirely sure what she said, he said, "Not....understand....words....L-Loo....see?." he struggled a bit over pronouncing her name. He yawned again and murmured in a softer tone in Russian, "sonnyy....."

Lucy could hardly even hear the words over her internal squeeing, but she forced herself to even if only to see if Milomir could possibly get any cuter. And he did. "Oh my gosh you said my name! Whatt an adorable little puppy!" She exclaimed, noticing his sleepiness. "Oh! Your tired! How adorable!" She said, already zipping around to find somewhere he could rest, hardly even hearing what he said after her name. She flew up, and up, and up, until finally she had a clear view of most of the yard and- there! A hammock! Rocketig downwards towards it at dangerous speeds, she grabbed the edge and lifted a bit more sloly upwards. However, Lucy wasn't one to let something silly like physical exertion get in the way of her objective, so she flew back to Milomir as fast as she could, still within a minute of her flying off. Well, maybe two minutes. "Here!" She panted, setting it down as gently as possible in a sunny corner. "A hammock!"

message 13: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki)
Milomir flushed at her words. He knew the word puppy, and what it meant to call one a puppy. He'd heard it used once before on himself, but not in the way that he could ever enjoy. She zipped off at a quick speed, faster than his eyes could track, and he blinked in surprise, wondering just what she was doing and why.

When she returned with a hammock, he couldn't help but smile. He'd often wished to sleep in such a place, they looked so comfortable for the people he had seen in the photographs. He hesitated for a moment, then moved over to it and touched it, watching it rock gently at his touch. He glanced over at her, half inclined to ask if she would lay with him, but he wasn't sure how she would react to it. He wasn't even sure why he felt the urge to ask, he knew what people could do to him, especially when he was in a fragile or otherwise less than aware state of mind. Even though he'd escaped (though how he wasn't sure) from that place, he was still haunted by the memories, the events that transpired to make him how he was now.

When Milomir smiled, that was all the thanks Lucy could ever ask for, and she squealed a little, though his time she managed to muffle it a little with her hand. Oh gods, he would look absolutely adorable sleeping! He would look just like a cute little kid with a ted- Thats it! He needed a teddy bear! It would perfect the whole picture! "Stay here I'll be right back!" She said quickly, already zipping away again. This time though, instead of flying very high, she simply flew next to the window of her bedroom, and swung it open.

Of course, since she regularly flew around the ground and liked to be able to acess her room quickly, Lucy never actually locked it, and in fact, the whole room was designed so that the window was more of an entrance than the door. She flew in, and after a few moments of rummaging around her bed, found a cute stuffed animal jammed in the corner. Quickly snatching up the little blue puppy from her bed, she shot out the window, not even bothering to close it, and made it back next to Milomir with incredible speed. "Here!" She said, out of breath, but still holding out the stuffed animal.

Milomir's mouth had just opened to ask the question, when like a flash she took off again. He watched with wide eyes as she disappeared again. He moved to scratch his head for a long moment, then jumped when she reappeared again with a little blue stuffed animal in her hands. What was that? He reached out curiously to take the stuffed animal, having never had one in his possession before, he was quite at a loss for what to do with it.

He looked up at her, looking confused and finally asking, "What....this? Not....not had before...." he looked embarrassed at his admittance. He was aware that most children had things like this.....item....but he had been an orphan, without a place to call his own at any point in time. He was lucky to get food most nights, much less worry about frivolous things like toys.

Lucy could hardly even contain her horror and pity. He had never had a stuffed animal before? The poor thing! Well, she would fix that. The second he was done napping, she was taking him to the nearest toy store she could find and buying him as many teddy bears and stuffed animals as he wanted. But for now she was focused on showing him how to use the adorable little blue puppy in his hands. Gently taking it from his hands, she flew over to the hammock and layed down in it with the puppy snugly wrapped in her arms. "You sleep with it!" She explained simply, the negative emotions at figuring out he had never had a stuffed animal enough to balance out the positive ones to the point where she was thinking clearly enough to consider the language barrier in her explanation. "Here, you try!" She said, leaping up off the hammock and handing it to Milomir.

Milomir reached out to take the little blue puppy again, looking at it for a long moment, then up at her again. He moved to climb into the hammock, an endeavor in itself as he'd never been in one before. He nearly spilled out of it more than once as he clambered in. Finally, he was able to get into the hammock and laid down in it, snuggling down with the puppy in a little ball. He yawned again and closed his eyes, burrowing down and falling asleep moments later....for now at least.

Lucy watched as Milomir climbed into the hammock, a pleased smile now steadily spreading across her face. She held herself back from 'AwwLing and giggling as he climbed into the hammock, a very adorable action if Lucy ever saw one. It was absolutelty the utest thing ever! Even now after the initial cute shock had faded, Lucy found it hard to not go off in shrill squeals.

When Lucy saw his breath regulate into slow, steady rise and fall, she had an idea. Slowly, she floated up a little ways, and reclined backwards in the air, as if laying on her own invisible hammock. And then she started to sing. "Rock a by baby, on the tree top," Lucy wondered what this boy had been through. It was no secret that the marjority of children here had had some kind of tragic past. "When the wind blows, the cradle will rock," Lucy remembered her own past. She could never bring herself to actually hate anybody, but it had hurt so much... "A-and, w-when..." Lucy's voice cracked, and a silent tear slid down her cheek.

Quickly wiping both the tears and the sadness away, as usual, Lucy knew it was only something she could do for so long. But then, she had known that for over 30 years. She turned her head towards Milomir, and a more sad, sympathetic smile appeared on her face. What horrors had this boy been through? And, more importantly, could she help him? Lucy had always been a motherly figure to the children who didn't have them, but could she really do it well enough to actually help him? She quietly sighed.

Milomir dreamt on peacefully for a long moment, lulled by the sound of her voice. But alas, when the mind is asleep it often plagues the dreams with memories of being awake...and Milomir did not have many good memories of himself.

"Hold him still! Hold him still!" a dark voice barked out as Milomir struggled to escape the room he'd been thrown in. Two men grabbed the small boy and forced him to the bed, tearing away his clothes and positioning him for their boss. "I didn't snatch you off the streets to watch you piss off." he growled, looming over the small male before he started....

Milomir whimpered, twitching and tossing restlessly and making little noises of pain and whispering out stop in Russian again and again. The darker the nightmare turned and the deeper into the memories it delved, the more he thrashed on the hammock as his fright increased, sounding scared and hurt as he tried to curl tighter into himself to be less of a target as he begged in broken english for 'them' to stop hurting him.

As he thrashed on the hammock, trapped in the tight embrace of nightmares that was the past he could never escape from, his appearance seemed to waver. His skin seemed to shift, fur appearing briefly before vanishing again, like a second beastly skin sliding over him and whispering protection to the frightened male beneath. Milomir groaned in pain in his sleep at the feel of his skin beginning to tear with the start of his transformation into the monster, his sheer terror from the nightmares beginning to trigger a transformation. The only way to stop would be to wake him, but it could backfire and trigger the transformation faster if done wrong.

Lucy's thought once again wandered to her past. All those times she had thought she was going to die... The hard nights she would have nothing more than what she could wrestle from the alley cats... And then, worst of all for a sensitive girl like Lucy, all those people calling her such horrid names and treating her in such painful ways. Suddenly, every door slammed in her face and harsh words shouted to her face came rushing back, but Lucy wasn't mad. She wasn't angry they had treated her in such ways like most would have been. She wasn't infuriated at their willingness to let a little girl starve. She was sad. She was sad for herself, for the people who would never truly know what it mant to be kind, but mostly, for other kids who had to endure suffering like that.

Kids, Lucy realized, like Milomir. More tears slid down her cheeks as she sat up slowly, taking large steady breaths to calm herself, not that it worked. However, when she heard Milomir whimpering, it only made her tears start anew. But this time, it was for Milomir. It was for one person, and it came out in even worse batches then when she cried for herself. She knew what it was like to have nightmares. She couldn't possibly imagine what terrors were unfolding in his young mind, but Lucy knew the terror. As if experiencing those things in real life wasn't enough, they had to experience them again in the dream world, where shadows seemed a million times longer, and normal people who had harmed you turned into bloodthirst beasts.

She drifted over to the hammock slowly, and sat herself down in midair right next to it. Taking the edge of the hammock, she gently swung it back and forth, a slow, steady, hopefully comforting action. And then she began to hum. At first it started out softly and quietly, but it quickly escalated to a louder tune, and soon eough Lucy was adding in lyrics. "Twinkle, twinkle, little star," She took a ddep breath. "How I wonder where you are," Lucy continued the song, shutting her eys gently, hoping that even if it was in some bizzare unepected way, this would help Milomir.

message 21: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki)
Milomir quivered on the hammock, unconsciously fighting the change his body wanted to make to protect him. Black fur had sprouted on various parts of his body beneath the rent skin, and beneath the fur was hard, grey skin like that of an elephant. It seemed at first that the inevitable would happen. That he would shift and would do whatever his monster side felt necessary to protect himself from the nightmare. He was making pained noises from the shift his body was undergoing in preparation for the monster within him taking over. He seemed moments away from a full transformation as he quivered and whimpered in pain on the hammock.

Then....she started to rock it, and hum. At first, there was no response, but slowly, slowly, it started to filter through his dream, piercing through the fog of terror and pain to wrap around him in gentle tendrils, encouraging him to fly free of his terrifying memories and up towards wakefulness again. His body stilled for a moment, then his eyes flickered and opened to look around, only to see he was in America, and Lucy was nearby him rocking the hammock. It had only been a dream, he wasn't brought back to Russia by his previous captors like he'd dreamt. The fur and grey tough skin seemed to shimmer and recede back into his body, the monster within returning to its normal dormant state now that the fear was receding.

Milomir turned his head to look up at Lucy, tears shining clearly in his eyes. He didn't know what he wanted, but he wanted something, some kind of comfort, he just did not know the gesture behind it. He sat up slowly and stared at her, looking in desperate need of a hug, a gesture that was entirely foreign to him. He clung to the puppy she gave him like a life line, pressing it tightly to his chest as he sniffled, a few lone tears streaking down his face. "I-I...." he started, but he had not the words to say what he was feeling, what he wanted...no, what he needed in that moment.

((a hug is not gonna freak him out rn, he actually really needs one))

Slowly, Milomir's body began to go back to normal, and aa wave of relief swept ovr Lucy. She kept humming on, but when Milomir looked at her, eyes glittering with tears, she stopped rocking. Instead, she slowly floated towards him, and gently wrapped her arms around him in a gentle hug. Her humming slowly faded into nothing, and as instead replaced by her quietly shushing him. "Shhhh..." She let her legs drift down until they touched the hammock, and soon she wasn't levatating at all, rather, she was hugging Milomir on the hammock, shoving her own sadness to the back of her mind, suddenly all thoughts on him. On comforting him, on helping him, on making his life better. Suddenly she wanted nothing more than to see this boy nap peacefully, free of nightmares forever. Perhaps t would take a while, perhaps it was an impossible goal, but it was one Lucy set right there and then, if nothing else to help him deal with it. She slowly moved one hand to his hair, and gently stroked it, while the other one remained wrapped around him in a firm but gentle hug.

Milomir stiffened in surprise at the feeling of her arms wrapping around him, unsure of how he felt at the touch at first. Usually they hurt, but this one felt....nice. Comforting. Hesitantly, he moved to wrap his arms around her, a choked sob escaping him as he hid his face in his shoulder and started to cry, unable to help himself. He'd never had a chance to cry before, to be a kid before. All he'd ever been was abused and hurt and used until he couldn't hardly take it any longer. He eventually fell back asleep within her embrace, his fingers fisted in her shirt as he was lulled by her stroking his hair, his free hand still clutching the stuffed animal she had given him.

"There there," She murmured, knowing that even with the language barrier Milomir would be able to understand she was soothing him. "It's alright." She said quietly, continuing to stroke his hair as he cried into her shoulder. "I'll protect you." And she would. No matter what, from now on, Lucy would do everything in her power to help this poor little boy. She felt his body slowly relax, and once again, he fell asleep, one hand clutching the stuffed animal she had given him, the other grabbing her shirt.

She slowly laid him back down, still hugging him with one arm, and began to hum softly again. This time it wasn't an actual song, rather it was something Lucy was coming up with on the spot, but it sounded calm and relaxing and like a lullaby non the less.

After being asked to attend her class and shyly refusing (he still did not wish to admit to not being able to read or write, not even to her), Milomir found himself once again in the backyard, though this time not quite so alone. He now had with him a companion in the little, stuffed blue puppy that Lucy had given him. He'd tried to give it back to her after his nap, but she'd said it was something called a 'gift' and that he should keep it, so he did. He kind of liked having the little blue puppy anyways. It was currently nestled in his arms, and he talked to it quietly in Russian.

(( Okay, let me know if I completely screw this up XP ))

Felicity hovered near the back door, back facing the exit. If she was going to go out there, she wanted to make sure nobody way following her. Maybe this seemed a litte paranoid, but if your life had been threatened by half a guild of people who were trained to move around like shadows, you'd be paranoid too. She scanned the area one last time, the last check of several, before finally placing her hand on the doorknob, hesitantly ripping her gaze away from the room and instead to the backyard. She eased the door open silently, slipping outside without a sound.

However, before Felicity could do a thourough sweep of the yard, something else caught her eye. A shiny, golden bracelet, and that was about when Felicities instincts took over. Her vision focused on the bracelet, and before she could even think about the risks of doing this out in the open, she had darted over to it, her hand mere inches away from enclosing the bracelt in her hand. But, just then, Felicity remembered to check the area, something tht was mostly triggered by her closeness to stealing the ring. She had been banned from stealing ever again so that nobody would consider employing her, and if they saw what she was doing now... Her eyes widened, and swept the yard with her eyes, sweat rolling nervously down her neck.

Her hand uncounsciously grabbed the bracelet, but before she could stash it in her pocket, she spotted someone. Instantly startled, her initial reaction was to drop the bracelet, but the second it clanked to the ground, it only frightened her further. Surely the person wandering the yards would have heard that. After all, people in the thieves guild were trained to be able to hear a footstep from yards away, and that person wasn't even that far. Even though she doubted he had heard her before now, what if he had just been waiting for her to go farther away from the door? Felicity began to mentally panic, however her body was doing something else. It was shrinking.

Before the bracelet even stopped rattling, Felicity was a little under 2 inches high, and suddenly the whole world was huge. Not to mention, it was much harder to control her emotions when she was small like this. Unfourtunately, every time Felicity went through any kind of negative emotion, panic and anxiety being the ones in this case, her powers would go on the fritz, and even though normally passing emotions would allow her control again somewhat quickly, it was still completely unpredictable. So in other words, she could be stuck like that for less then a minute, or even up to an hour depending on what happened next.

Unsure what to do, Feliciy completely froze. She was absolutely parylized for the time being, and if someone looked now, honestly, they probably would have assumed she was just a doll.

(( So yeah, idk, is that decent??? ))

Milomir was enjoying the quiet walk through the backyard. It was peaceful, and the warm air had given off a lovely scent from the grass. He'd enjoyed being with Lucy, and he made a mental note to seek her out at some point after learning the word thank you in English.

He was looking around, minding his own business, when he spotted a girl. Immediately, he stopped and stared curiously, currently beneath the shade of a tree. When she suddenly vanished from sight, he panicked, launching himself up the tree he was standing under as agilely as a cat, clinging to a high up branch and staring down and around with wide eyes. Despite having powers of his own, he was barely aware of them due to how he never had memories of the change, and on top of which, he'd never been around those with powers before, so all of it would freak him out. He'd jumped when Lucy flew around and everything, and if he hadn't been so exhausted he'd have had more of a reaction, actually.

Felicity stood stock still, hoping that the boy would have no reaction, and perhaps resume whatever he was doing. No such luck. He instantly launched himself up the tree he was just standing under, removing him from her sight. However, this only frightened Felicity even more. If she had been with other people, then she wouldn't have been so paranoid, or if she at least had her weapons on her, but she didn't have other people or weapons, and so his sudden dissapearance from her line of sight was horrifying.

A low gust of wind caught Felicity off gaurd, and soon enough, she was tumbling backwards, hardly even touching the ground. And, in her panic, her power began to flicker. She grew to her normal size, although now she was laying sprawled out on the ground, only her arms propping her back upwards. But before she could make a dash for the door, she shrunk again a second later. This repeated a couple more times before Felicity stayed small, although now she looked like a mess. Her hair was blown all over the place, and she had multiple bruises on her arms and hands, but the most prominent feature most people would notice now was her fear, written across her face as clearly as if someone wrote it there with bold black letters.

Milomir was hiding in the tree. He was as high up as he could get and nestled in the branches, surrounded by a thick canopy of leaves. He hugged his blue puppy close to his chest and looked around nervously. "W-whoever was, not get here." he reassured the stuffed animal, though in reality he was reassuring himself.

Lucy had been preparing her classroom for later that day, when she glanced out the window. And what she saw was- Milomir scrambling up a tree?! Lucy was down the hall before her chair could even stop spinning. She flew down the halls, literally, gliding past the people who gave her confused glances, but all she was worried about was Milomir.

Finally making it to the backdoor, Lucy burst it open and slowly transitoned from flying to running full speed across the yard, until she finally made it to the base of the tree. "Milo-" She took in a large gasp of air, completely out of breath. "Milomir, are you alright?!" She asked worriedly, her own breath comig out in short but rapid breaths. She glanced up the tree, hoping to see that Milomir was safe and unharmed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Felicity was once again blown to the side when the door swung open, and an older woman perhaps in her thirties came rushing out. Luckily, since the initial fear had subsided and now there was another person nearby, Felicity felt a little bit safer, and managed to maintain her normal size. Second later, Felicity was inside, the door almost silently clicking shut behind her as she made a dash for anywher ecpet the backyard.
Milomir was hiding far up in the tree, terrified and clutching his blue puppy tight to his chest as he looked around, scared of the idea of the girl coming up here with him. He didn't understand what was going on, or why she could vanish and reappear and get smaller and bigger. It was all just a little much for the young Russian boy, who was not even aware of his own powers that left holes in his memory when used.
He heard Lucy call up to him and instantly scrambled to get down from the tree to her, knowing she would help him be safe because if she could make his nightmares go away, he knew she could be trusted. But, in his eagerness to go towards what he already considered was safety within her presence, his hand slipped on a branch and the blue puppy dropped towards the ground, followed by Milomir with a terrified cry and the sound of breaking branches. Scratches scattered over his face and hands as he struggled to grab anything to stop his fall, shredding the palms of his hands as he desperately tried to grab branches until finally he landed hard upon a sturdy branch, crying out in pain at the sound of a faint crack that betrayed the pain of his ribs cracking, though not for the first time. Despite the pain, he clung to the branch as best he could and cried out through his tears, "Loooooseeeeeey h-help!!"
Lucy saw Milomir move around in the tree, seemingly about to climb down, when she saw his hand slip, quickly followed by a terrified scream. Lucy immediatly cast aside her exhaustion and launched herself up as fast as she could, but it wasn't fast enough to save him from being battered from the branches he had fell through. It took her a moment to catch up with wherever Milomir had fallen, but the second she heard Milomir's shout for help, she zipped over next to his branch almost instantly. Gasping when she saw his wounds, her hands shot out to carry him, but it occured to Lucy there was no way she could carry him all the way back to the infirmary.
She could always use a bubble to carry them both inside and to the infirmary, but based on Milomir's reaction to seeing a girl use her powers, she wasn't positive it was such a good idea. But then, what other option did she have? She certainly wouldn't just leave him here to figure this out on his own. Biting her lip, Lucy swallowed her indecisiveness. Even if Milomir was scared of her forever, she needed to get him to the infirmary. "Milomir, I need you to trust me." And she really did. She wasn't positive what exactly he had been shifting into before, but she couldn't afford for him to go on a blind rampage as another creature now.
Only giving him a second to absorb what she had said, she began to form the bubble. Because she didn't want to alarm him by suddenly trapping him in an invisble bubble, Lucy didn't close it all the way, leaving the top bit open, and having the rest of it tinted pink, as it used to be back when she was a child. Soon, it had made a solid floor and walls around them, and Lucy ever so slowly carried them towards the ground. She had to put all of her focus into mantaining the bubble, as it was not protecting but carrying two people, and as much as she wanted to, she couldn't even give Milomir a reassuring glance or hand squeeze.
Milomir was barely able to hang onto the branch that had hurt him, but the pain was making him woozy, not helped at all by the fact that what was keeping him from falling and hurting himself more was also pushing into his injured ribs and no doubt making them worse from his weight alone. So it was a welcome relief to have Lucy zip up to him and take her into his arms, though he whimpered softly at the movement since it hurt.
Milomir looked up at Lucy with big eyes after she picked him up from the tree, and when she told him to trust her, he immediately grew frightened and closed his eyes, trembling as he clung to her with hands bloodied from being torn open on the bark. He peeked once to see them surrounded by a bubble again before closing his eyes tightly again, his trembling increasing along with soft whines of pain as his tremors made his ribs hurt more than they did now with breathing. "L-looosseeey." he whimpered out, "S-sobaka....d-don't....leave...." he managed to say, trying to convey that he did not want the stuffed blue puppy that she had given him to be left on the ground below the tree. It had very quickly grown to be a comfort for him, and it was entirely possible that he would carry it with him for a considerable time, at least until he was more acclimated to the school.
Lucy cringed as Milomir whimpered her name, wanting to give him a reassuring hug, but unable to, as both her hands were pressed against the bubble as she manipulated it. When he asked her not to leave Sobaka though, she was momentarily confused, resulting in the hole in the top to expand a little. Refocusing her attention on the bubble, the edges where bubble had faded slowly grew back, but Lucy was still worried. But then it clicked. He wanted the small blue puppy she had given him. She allowed a quick glance in it's direction, and then at Milomir's miserable, scared face. It didn't take long for Lucy to decide. She formed a small bubble just outside of the one they were in, and was rewarded by a splitting headache, as well as the corners of her vision blurring for a moment. "Shi-" She quickly stopped herself before she could finish the exclamation. "ure. Sure." She finished, despite feeling close to passing out hoping that Milomir's knowledge of the english language didn't reach into swearing.
She sent the bubble towards the bubble as fast as she could, but even that was still a pretty casual speed, not to mention they're own bubble was now crawling along at a snail's pace. But after a minute of painful waiting, the small bubble she had dispatched to retrieve the puppy returned, dropping the small toy into the top of the bubble before hastily vaporizing into thin air. Lucy knew she only had so much time left before one of two equally bad things happened. Either A, she would pass out and the bubble would slowly dissipitate, or B, her powers would decide to leave before her consciousness, and the bubble would dissapear much more quickly then in the first possibility. But Lucy couldn't let these things happen, not when Milomir was at stake, so she pressed forward, the bubble now moving a little faster than before.
She presssed, or rather leaned, her whole body against the bubble, trying to convert as much energy to it as possible. Wether or not this was actually how her bubbles worked was unknown to Lucy, but if nothing else her ergency seemed to get to it, and they began moving at an actually decent pace. Soon enough they were at the window to the infirmary, as Lucy decided it would take far too long to go through the halls, but the second they stopped and Lucy's vision sharpened a little, she noticed something. Her bubble's walls were a little lower than neck-length now. She tried not to to think about it though as she searched around frantically for something to break the locked window with.
Then she thought of something. What if she used the bubble? It was rapidly dissapearing now, only at waist's length, but maybe, just maybe... She grabbed the jagged edge of part of her bubble, and firmly- or rather as firmly as she could in her state- planted her feet beneath her. She pulled, putting all of her strength into it, and believe it or not, it snapped. Unsure of how long it would stay solid detached from the bubble, Lucy wasted no time in using it to smash the glass inwards, a small part of her noting she'd have to pay for that later. But for now, all that was important was getting Milomir inside. Lucy could hardly even keep from falling over, but she managed to grab Milomir's arm gently but firmly, and tug him into the room with her. The second her feet touched the hard tile floor though, her vision darkened almost entirely, and all she managed to do before passing out was stumble over to a bed. She was uncounscious before she even hit the matress.
(( Okay, so, I was planning on having her wake up maybe a minute or two later, so if you wanted to have Milomir just sort of respond to the rest of the stuff and do whatever, she'll regain enough energy to shakily walk around and treat Milomir to the best of her abilities, and maybe grab a book on how to treat him too, something like that. But yeah, if you wanna post him just responding to all that, Lucy will wake up momentarily ))
