“Ah, my daughter,ʺ he said. ʺEighteen, and already youʹve been accused of murder, aided felons, and acquired a death count higher than most guardians will ever see.ʺ He paused. ʺI couldnʹt be prouder.”

gibberish in front of her.
“Thifisif.” she would say, “ifisif onefos ofosif thofosif whosufu cantantant statantand thefesef smufumellu ofosif therisir owfisown shifisifit.”
One day, irritated by the mockery, Fernanda wanted to know what Amaranta was saying, and she did not use euphemisms in answering her.
“I was saying,” she told her, “that you're one of those people who mix up their ass and their ashes.”" - Gabriel García Márquez, One Hundred Years of Solitude
The prophetess said to the witcher:
"I shall give you this advice: wear boots made of iron, take in hand a staff of steel. Then walk until the end of the world. Help yourself with your staff to break the land before you and wet it with your tears. Go through fire and water, do not stop along the way, do not look behind you. And when the boots are worn, when your staff is blunt, once the wind and the heat has dried your eyes so that your tears no longer flow, then at the end of the world you may find what you are looking for and what you love …”
The witcher went through fire and water, he did not look back. He did not take iron boots or a staff of steel. He took only his sword.
(Andrzej Sapkowski ,Baptism of Fire)

And that is exactly how every Pakistani marriage ends.

glad to have you back here. :)

I've got mixed views on that. It's not in the nature of our backward society to encourage divorces. In such a process either the husband or the wife are blamed for the lack of fidelity - which is quite a narrow minded thought, really, because sometimes neither of them is at fault and things just don't turn out the better way.
But children definitely influence the more greater part of the decision of a divorce. Sometimes, for the children, sacrifices need to be made.

Haha, I'm afraid I'm not back yet. Was passing by and thought I'd drop by a hello. I'll get in touch with you soon though!
Komal wrote: "Truth is usually harsh.

Not really, but i'll say that i have seen much. :)
In our society, Most of the marriages are such that, well can't use word marriage for that these r more like contracts rather very bitter ones. n partners chose to live with it cos of various reasons. but some few are fortunate enough to end up in very good relation....
dilemma of society is that, We really don't live for ourselves. Most of people in our society are living his/her life for someone else, all their actions and decisions ,through out the life, are result of compromises, not the free will.

That is true. And I think it's the previous generation who try to impose such dilemmas on the younger one. Agreed with what you said.
Owaiz wrote: "I missed you, Kokonut. Long time!"
Yeah uhh long time Owais. Hope you're doing well too. I need to sharp my claws first, so you're safe for now.

Why hasn't someone kneed you, kicked you and then shot you in the eyes already?

Well, of course, I'm full of myself. Can't be full of cotton balls or something, yano. :P

Have fun in your La La Land with your La La self.

" never try to argue with an idiot because he will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience"

Exactly, that is why I stopped. Thank you, daughter Maira.
@Faheem: Me neither. I was just being polite by saying I missed her. Like welcoming her back. You know what I mean, right?

I know right? Seems like that Quote was brought into existence solely on the basis of your uncle.
Faheem,
I was being civil in my response as well.
And then he called me a duck.

@owaiz,well it didn't ended in a very pleasant way. i was talking about the thing that followed, the duck n monkey thing. and @komal equally participated in it.
I can't put restrictions on your discussions.it seemed odd to me, the way you two drifted from such a nice discussion to these silly arguments.
@Maria, The quote that you used. it was a bit rude.
