This is a fantastic idea. For my first recommendation I would suggest that if you like the Gone series and crave something similar but maybe for a bit older audiences I would suggest Under the Dome by Stephen King.
^ That's a great recommendation! If you like books by John Green then you would most likely like books by David Levithan (Especially Two Boys Kissing) or Rainbow Rowell (for example Eleanor and Park)
^ True! I like John Green and David Levithan. Oh, idk, what should I contribute in this?
If you like Meg Cabot's Princess Diaries you'd probably like Princess and the Pauper
^ Haven't read any of them...oopsAnd now I need a recommendation *thinking face*
If you like the Harry Potter series (is there anyone who doesn't?) and you just want something slightly similar I would recommend The Iron Trial by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black!

I loved Under the Dome, although it is very lengthy and almost nothing like the TV show! But the books are always better anyway, right?!

Here you can share books/authors you find similar:
If you like a fast pace dystopian, like say The Hunger Games, you will most likely like the Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu.
Or perhaps ask for recommendations:
I love books written by David Levithan, are there any authors you would recommend with a similar writing style?
