What kind of monster's are in the series?
Have you heard of Eric S. Brown? He has a pretty entertaining Big Foot series. Real easy read... Has some gore... Real creepy. Makes me not want to go into the woods. LOL

I'll have to check Eric Brown out--thanks! As for the monsters--pretty much all of them make an appearance in Correia's series--werewolves, vampires, demons, ghosts--it's a grab bag of baddies. Fun read that I found hard to put down!

Hg Wells, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Walter B Gibson, Philip Wylie, Philip K. Dick, George Orwell, Jim Starlin, Frank Miller, Alan Moore
I've read ever since I can remember. But it's not until I started writing that I began to pay attention to authors. Honestly I used to pick my books like this:
Genre
Is the cover cool
Did the back cover sound interesting
Remarkably it worked for me. It was rare that I would buy a book that just didn't work for me.
Now that I've done some writing, I really have been trying to pay attention to WHO I'm reading. LOL
So I'm still developing my list. I can say that I like William Johnstone. George R. R. Martin is okay... But I have to slug through his stuff a bit. It's boarder line too wordy and can put me to sleep. If I hadn't fallen in love with The Game of Thrones TV show I probably would have given up on his book.

Man.... There are a lot...
Anything that is written based on the movies Aliens & Predator. Star Trek... Some Star Wars (kinda picky about these. I liked a trilogy by Timothy Zahn.. I think that's his name)
Recently I read Halol: The Fall of Reach and really enjoyed it.. Have the other two books in the series on the shelf ready to go.
I liked the Bigfoot war series by Eric Brown.
I've read quite a few of the Conan the Barbarian books.
And in the middle of the Ashes series by William Johnstone.
As you can see... I'm all over the board.

If you like Robert E howard's Conan stories, you might also want to check out Kull and Solomon Kane.
The Grimnoir stuff is a lot of fun, agreement there!I really like the work of Robert Jackson Bennett (The Company Man & Mr. Shivers).

So who are some of your favorites?
