Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments After an hour and a half of waiting Lane cracked the blinds of the darkened classroom and looked over the neatly trimmed lawns in front of the private middle school he attended, his father wanted him homeschooled when he left the states, but his mother didn't want him curling up into the shy little bubble he was already shoved so tightly into that he barely talked outside his own home. So they settled in some type of middle ground, a high end private school with background screening and a bunch of other stuff, but that didn't keep guys that liked to pick on first years out, which meant the quiet foreign kid was out of luck.

The front looked clear, and off of school ground he never got messed with, well usually anyway. After straightening his casual clothes he grabbed his guitar case and backpack, slinging the bag over one shoulder and carrying the instrument carefully in the his other hand, he was glad it was Friday and he wasn't in the uniform he normally wore. He looked into the deserted hallway before stepping out and sliding the door closed behind him, any club activities were still going on, so the students that were still there were busy. His converse made very little noise as he walked down the hallway quickly, opening the clear glass front door, and heading out in the afternoon sun with a small smile.

He'd gotten all the way down the front walk without a problem, turned right, started down the fenced side of the school. Humming a simple tune his face lit up as he set the guitar case down lightly on the sidewalk beside him and dug around in his bag for a pen, along with a small blue notebook. He scribbled down some chords, a tempo, and a key, before feeling a rough hand snatch the notebook out of his hands. "What'chya doing tree?" asked a dark haired boy, the exact third year he was trying to avoid. He was an inch and a half shorter than Lane, but wasn't stringy and stick-like, instead he was muscular, with a permanent glare on his face. Before he could snatch his music book back one of Yamamoto's minion second years pushed him backwards, making him trip over his guitar case, and fall right into the fence behind him, making it rattle and squeak.

Yamamoto tossed the book aside, looking away as it hit the ground and skidded a few feet away. "Boring, how about we play another game today." he grinned at Lane as his minion pushed the taller, but much thinner, boy against the fence again, this time holding him there. "Hey-" Lane said, reaching for his notebook, but the other boy's grip kept him from moving much. Before he could wiggle out of way the wind was knocked out of him with one solid punch to the stomach.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo shoved through the small group still lingering in the doorway, nobody even seemed to care. After almost three years he'd learned it was useless to try and tell them to move, and he couldn't expect them to just move. At least he didn't have to deal with annoying people trying to talk to him, if they noticed him at all his glare sent them off anyway.

He might have been surprised at how few people were there, except he'd checked the time as soon as he woke up. Music class was always boring, it was really just stuff he knew already. If he didn't skip entirely he would fall asleep in the back. Nobody ever mentioned it, and half the time he would wake up after everyone was gone already.

Slipping his headphones on, he yawned quietly as he glanced out the window. How annoying... He really had nothing to gain from stopping the ass from what he did to whoever, except the satisfaction of beating or at least scaring the crap out of him. And not even Kiyo would be that much of a dick to the first years, even the ones who probably deserved it. It would take too much effort.

He waked out the nearest door, hands in his pockets and oversized headphones around his neck again. The gang of idiots didn't see or hear him approach, even when he cleared his throat to try and announce himself. One of the smaller second years nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "The hell!?" He jumped back and turned around, his reaction causing the rest to look as well. Seemingly out of nowhere came the threatening red hair, beneath which was a death glare that could easily live up to it's title. "Didn't I warn you about messing with girls?" He said straight to the leader of the dick brigade.

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments The fence behind him, and the second year jerk, were the only things holding Lane up as he continued to struggle, against the three older kids. Two second years, and a third year, both shorter, but bigger, than the younger boy. A few people walked by, two kids his age who obviously didn't want to be targeted themselves, and one adult that looked at the middle schoolers like gum on the bottom of her shoe and kept walking. It was only the second week of school this term, and this was already the fifth time he'd been cornered, the only reason there wasn't more was because he'd been sick one day last week, faked sick the next day, got out early one day and left ahead of them, and skipped school twice this week to avoid them, since it was obvious no one was going to do anything about it.

The smaller second year that just seemed to be watching the fight jumped nearly out of his skin when a read haired third year put a hand on his shoulder, Lane thought he recognized him, but he wasn't sure. Maybe he- no- that's it, he's the kid that sleeps through advanced music theory. he was sure that was him, being the only first year in a class that was supposed to be advanced for third years was fairly strange, and pretty much all of the nice ones treated him more like a pet than another student, but he'd never even seen this one awake, until now.

Yamamoto took a step back from Lane and was about to say something to the red head, but the other boy got to it first. "Didn't I warn you about messing with girls?" Lane coughed at the word girls, surprised at both the fact that the bigger second year had just let him go, and that he'd just been called a girl. Did he really look like a girl? He'd been called cute and fawned all over by most of the older girls, but they all new he was a boy, right? Now he wasn't so sure. "I'm just messing with a tree, she's not even from here, so it's none if your business, I don't care who your dad is." He knew that Yamamoto was aware Labe was a boy, and that he was just being a jerk, but it still got under Lane's skin when he said she. While the other boys were distracted Lane slipped behind them and grabbed his notebook from the sidewalk, dusting it off and flipping through the pages to make sure all is notes were okay. Everything was fine, except the most recent page he'd just written a set of chords on was ripped out, he hadn't even noticed the boy do that.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments "I have to walk past here anyway, and you're being annoying. So it's my buisness whether either of us like it or not." Kiyo shook his head, he didn't have time to deal with these idiots. "Anyway, if you were gonna do something hurry up. I don't like standing around waiting for no reason." He only removed his hand from his pocket to briefly check the time on his phone, which he then put right back. For a moment none of them moved, until an overconfident second year decided it might be a good idea to throw a punch. Kiyo simply stepped out of the way, hitting the kid on the back with his elbow effectively knocking him down.

"So can I go now, or-" Another attempted the same thing, and Kiyo sighed. "Of course not." He ducked out of the way and kicked the second into the third, the two landing near the first. The fourth almost moved, but froze when his target appeared to disappear from sight for a split second. Kiyo simply pushed him over and stood facing the leader. "So are you going to be an idiot like last time, or do you think you can actually manage something all of a sudden?"

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments The fight was quick, over before it had even started as Lane stood back and watched the red head easily end the other students, the look on his face never changing from the calm, slightly annoyed, expression he'd walked up with. Once three of the four were on the ground their Yamamoto cracked his knuckles, as if he was going to throw a punch at the red head or something, but instead he turned around and crossed his arms. "Next time Takahashi, I'll get you, so watch your back." he sent a glare that didn't even faze the red head, apparently called Takahashi and stalked off, his lackeys following him quickly, steering clear of Takahashi as they did so. "Sorry- Uh- Takahashi" Lane started, convinced the disappearing act was just a trick of the light he didnt even think about it as he knelt down next to his guitar case, clicking it open and checking its contents before getting to his feet. Without even thinking about it he reached into the hair and caught a wadded up piece of paper that had just been launched at him, and unfolding it he was relieved to see it was the chords he'd just been working on.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo rolled his eyes, same thing he said every time he got his ass kicked. Not once had it been true. "I hate being called that, it's just-" Kiyo began to correct him, but stopped himself. "Wait, you're a guy?" He looked somewhat confused, at first glance it just looked like a girl, but the voice didn't sound quite so feminine. He raised an eyebrow at the small projectile, stepping around to look at the front of it. When he thought about it, he did remember seing the bright hair somewhere, apparently around the music room. The thought of informing him of the mistakes on the page crossed his mind, but was interrupted by the sound of a car approaching on the street. "Oh, I'm out." He turned away, dropping his bag from his shoulder to his lower arm and putting it in first as he opened the door. Without another word, he pulled it shut after him and rode away.

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments ***********************
Week three and Lane hadn't been messed with again since Takahashi had stepped in, but things really hadn't gotten much better. His dad called him twice and left him messages about getting his grades up, starting the year with Cs didn't look good, and that was the one thing his dad cared about, keeping up appearances. He'd accidentally slept through two class periods because he'd stayed up all night composing, and now in the only class that he actually enjoyed the teacher was too busy arguing music styles with a group of girls, so no actual teaching got done. Just as he was dozing off the teacher knocked on his desk, apparently he'd already been asleep. "Mr. Hass, since you think my class is boring enough to sleep in how about you play us an original piece, we've been studying composing, I'm sure you have something." He sure the the teacher had meant it as a way to embarrass him in front of the other student, but with a wide grin Lane was almost immediately at the piano. He sat down and ran his fingers over the keys, be was used to playing on a keyboard, but this wasn't any different right. Glancing up and seeing the class of third years staring at him Lane froze, he knew exactly what he was going to play moments before, but now it seemed like he's forgotten everything.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo approached the music room almost twenty minutes late, which was fairly common except for one small issue, and that was the fact that of all days, today was one where people actually saw him. It was at first somewhat convenient, but as the day passed it became just the opposite. He'd been called out multiple times for doing various things he wasn't supposed to, altough he generally did them on a daily basis, and at one point a teacher actually questioned what he was doing in the 'wrong class', and he had to explain that he'd been there the whole time. Now he stood outside the closed door, considering walking away and just skipping, but he didn't want to get caught and have to explain again since that seemed to be his luck recently. Another reason, was the unusual silence that was uncommon in that particular class. He tried to slide the door open just enough to look without alerting anyone, but he succeded in failing as half the class turned to look. Fantastic. Straightening up, he looked at his usual spot near the back and made his way in that direction, ignoring the looks he got. It wasn't like he cared that much anyway.

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments All eyes were on the slowly reddening face of the first year student, until Takahashi decided to make his appearance, which made half the class turn away. Lane took the opportunity to take a deep breath and look down at the keys again, he stretched out his fingers over them and played a single chord, before slowly beginning the song he'd been writing the night before. Eyes were back on him again, ignoring the annoyed looked red head as Lane's fingers danced over the notes, his eyes closing slightly as the song continued and his confidence rose.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo landed in his seat, looking up when the one by the piano at the front actually started to play. He listened for a second, feeling like he might have heard part of it before. He couldn't quite figure it out, until he realized he hadn't heard it at all. He had read it a while back over the shoulder of the same person who was actually playing it now. And by the sound of it, the mistakes he'd seen had been fixed. It actually sounded decent, but too slow for his own taste. He generally got distracted when playing anything too slow, even if he was supposed to play a calmer song he would speed it up, intentionally or not. Because of that, he tried to avoid them. Once the song was finished he still thought something sounded wrong about it, maybe it needed something. He didn't care much, it wasn't his own, but he didn't like the vaguely uncomfortable feeling that something wasn't finished.

message 13: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments The teacher had a smile across her face as Lane turned to face her, "Wonderful, now there isn't a question in any of their minds that you belong in this class." she chuckled as most of the class had slightly guilty looks smeared across their. "Please take take your seat Mr. Hass." She gestured to Lane's empty desk and while he hurried to it, pale blue head down, she walked back up to the front of the room. "Now I'll be pairing you up for duets, I know some of you sing, some of you don't, but this will be acapella, so you'll just have to get over it. When I call your name come get your category, don't read it out, don't show it to anyone, sit back down, then once everyone has them find your partner. She called everyone's names, but worried about what it would be Lane held the little strip of paper in his hand still folded, and as people were paired he had a sinking feeling that this might not go too well.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo almost missed his own name, he wasn't falling asleep but he definitely wasn't paying attention. He unfolded the paper before he got back and nodded slightly at the 'theme' written on it. It wasn't much of a theme, really it was the exact opposite. But it was his preference. 'Free' basically meant he could do whatever, as long as whoever else had it wasn't an idiot. He looked around the room as he sat on his own desk, watching as people slowly found their doubles and moved off. He simply waited until almost everyone was together, it was easier than trying to join the crowd and going around asking every single person. His eyes drifted around the room to find the few who had been left, and landed on... Of course. The only first year in the class. He could play piano, but if he could do anything else, that was the question. Between two fingers he held up the paper as he didn't make any effort to close the minor distance.

message 15: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane glanced down at the paper in his hands and up as people visited about their category. Finally he unfolded the strip of paper and read it, Free. Well that was a little vague, the project probably would have been easier if he had to do something specific. Once everyone had found their partner Takahashi and Lane were the only students left. "My sleepers, you two can help each other stay awake." Their teacher said after she clapped her hands twice, quieting the class. "Now here's the guidelines, like I said it will be an acapella project, really just no music since most of you haven't learned the program we'll be studying this term, it doesn't actually have to be flowery like most acapella pieces. Lyrics and music have to be written together, and you'll be graded on everything except your actual singing ability, though I'm thinking about giving extra credit to those who sing it well." Lane held onto the teachers words like a lifeline, working with the scary red headed kid was a terrifying though, did he even know how to read music, he never payed attention in class, and according to what people said about him none of the other students had ever heard him play any kind of instrument, sing, or do anything else that had to do with music at all. So why was he even in this class?

Lane shook the nerves off and stood once their teacher told them to find their partners again, this period would be spent jotting down music ideas, even if none of them were used in the project. "Uh- Hey Takahashi- I'm Sintoru-" he didn't look at the other boy's face, rather his hair since he was about half an inch shorter than the blue haired boy.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo looked back at the teacher, knowing he would be ignoring half of what she said. He hated the sound of just words with no music, and since there were only two to a group it wouldn't be enough to do it that way. Even if he had to do it on his own he would make instrumental for whatever they did. Once she was through speaking he turned back to the blue one that had made his way over, giving a quick sigh when he was again referred to by his surname. He could have sworn he'd corrected him before, but he began to doubt it. Not that it mattered that much, since he obviously had to again. "Kiyoto. Or Kiyo. I hate my surname." He corrected, crossing his arms and legs at the same time so that he was sitting cris-cross on the desk. "That's a stupid name." He studied 'Sintoru's' face for a second, then shook his head. "Nah, not your real name."

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane sank into the desk beside Kiyo with a nervous chuckle, "Kiyo then, no it's not, but it's better than Lane." he flicked a pen through his fingers, still not looking at the threatening third year next to him. "So acapella, I've nev- uhm- never actually sang- like out loud- I don't sing I mean, I compose, I create, I play a ton of instruments, but I really don't sing. . ." he doodled in the corner of a blank page in his half size notebook and clicked his pen against the desk, seemingly at a random pace, but really a new rhythm was playing quickly in his head.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo shrugged, he wasn't likely to use the nickname, even when he didn't think it sounded stupid he rarely used them for others. "You'll have to get over it, but I do plan on having music anyway. Otherwise it'll just sound unfinished and that's too annoying." He picked up the small slip of paper he had put next to him, looking it over again. "With this I can do whatever, fine with me since I hate sticking with themes. Ahh, but I hate writing on a time limit..." He mostly muttered to himself, trailing off in vague thought. He was quiet for a minute, and without warning snatched the notebook and pen out of Lane's hands, since they were the nearest, and quickly began scribbling, flipping the page out of the way as soon as he had filled it.

message 19: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane began to protest, but the almost too focused expression on Kiyo's face made him freeze. "Hey, Kiyo- Uh" His hand hovered just over the red head's shoulder, not quite touching him yet when he pulled away, he had a bad feeling about what might happen if he messed with him, but he did have Lane's notebook. He leaned over to read the words Kiyo was furiously scribbling down in a scratchy writing that Lane couldn't even make out, compared to his own small, neat, script it looked like a tornado was ripping across the lined white pages.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments After a long silence and a lot of violent scribbling Kiyo finally stopped, blinking as he stared down. He had to flip through the few pages again, going over what it was that he wrote. It looked entirely illegible, even if it was his own handwriting. Still, he went through it easily before tossing it back at Lane. "Then I guess I just need to do music..." He thought for only a second before he swung his legs off the desk and grabbed his stuff, heading straight for the door, not caring that they technically weren't supposed to leave until the period was over.

message 21: by Tessa (last edited May 30, 2015 11:52AM) (new)

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane looked at the teacher with a bewildered expression, he had no clue what was going on, or why, and he wasn't sure how to handle it. She gave him a knowing look and nodded for him to follow the fiery haired brat that had just left. Lane ran a hand through is own sky blue hair and grabbed his bag, following Kiyo quickly. "Hey, you still have my pen- and aren't we both supposed to work on this?" he said, though the way he spoke betrayed him as a nervous wreck. Following him down the main hall of the school, outside, and into the parking lot, where a black car seemed to be waiting for him, as if whoever it was knew when Kiyo would be storming out of the school.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo threw the pen over his shoulder without bothering to give an answer, for now he didn't even know if this first year could play anything more than a piano, but at least that was worth something since his own specialty was string. He tossed his stuff into the car and slid in after it as he had done before, sighing when he had to lean back out. "Are you getting in or are you walking?" He questioned, doubting he would even know where they were going anyway. So the question was more of an, 'are you coming at all, or are you just going to stand there'.

message 23: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane grabbed the pen out of the air with surprising ease, he wasn't usually this smooth, but he was too distracted to think too much about it. "Huh-Okay-" he climbed into the back seat of the black SUV and closed the door just as the driver started pulling away, it seemed everyone around Kiyo was short and somewhat rude, including the red one himself. "Are we supposed to be uh- leaving school?" he asked, calming his nervous breathing as he glanced out the tinted window at the school, which was getting smaller as they pulled away, the driver not bothering to follow the speed limit at all as he sped down the street.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments "Does it matter?" Kiyo shrugged, part of him still thinking about the lyrics and wondering what sort of music to put them with. "I've got stuff to do, and since it's technically school related it's fine." Not that him leaving at random times was uncommon, though his scores never fell, so even when they noticed, nobody cared. Kiyo spent most of the ride quietly messing with his phone, fingers flying across the keyboard, then stopping, before he moved to delete whatever it was he was writing. They finally slowed down near a large building, the car stopping by a door off to the side rather than the front. Kiyo hopped out onto the sidewalk and walked towards the door. "Ahh, where is it..." He muttered while digging around in his pockets, then his bag before pulling out a card and using it to unlock the door.

message 25: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane was silent during the short car ride, trying to wrap his head around what was going on. They stopped in front of- wait, wasn't this? It definitely was. The tall glass building stood menacingly with the words Takahashi Productions posted boldly across the top. So that's where he'd recognized the name from, but were they supposed to be there right now? He'd been there a few times, but just to wait for his mom to get off work, she wasn't anything special, the secretary at the front Monday through Thursday, then her boss' personal assistant Friday and Saturday, working about every other Sunday too, Lane was always worried she was working too much, the tired smile that always graced her face was product of that, but she also assured him she was fine, and he tried to make sure he had dinner ready for her when she got home.
"Are we supposed to be here? I mean- Like here here, I've only ever- Wait- Kiyo-" He was an inch taller than the red haired boy, but he was still having trouble keeping up with his long focused strides.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo swiped the card and a small light turned green, the door audibly unlocking no more than a second later. "Huh? What's your issue, haven't used a keycard before?" He raised an eyebrow as he pulled it open and held it with his foot. Normally he wouldn't have waited, but the blue idiot wasn't moving and he didn't want to get halfway down the hall and have to turn around and open the door again. "I have to do music for this project, so I figured this was the best place. All my stuff's here already and there's a couple of rooms that rarely get used, so I have free reign whenever I need." Well, he basically had free reign most of the time, but that didn't matter. He dropped his hands back into his pockets and glanced back to see if he could close the door yet.

message 27: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments "OF course I've used a keycard, I just mean I've never been through that door." Lane hissed at the red boy in front of him, he didn't know why he was whispering, but he almost felt like he'd get in trouble if they caught, even though Kiyo obviously was there a lot. Kiyo knew exactly where he was going, his practiced steps second nature as they rounded corner after corner, boarded an elevator, and got off four floors up. They passed who each gave slight bows to Kiyo as he sped down the hallway, one laughing at the boys, the other looking slightly confused at Lane's presence. Then as they turned again Lane felt a hand on his shoulder. "Lane? What are you doing here? How did you even get up here? I know you're supposed to be in school right now." Lane looked up as he heard the English words quietly next to him, his mother stood there looking down at him with a questioning look. "I- Uh" Lane looked to Kiyo for help, but then decided against it and continued. "I'm doing a project for my music class, he's my partner, and they let us out early to work on it." he said just as quietly and in English too, gesturing to Kiyo at the appropriate time.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo led the first year through the hall to his usual spot, and they were nearly there when he heard someone stop Lane. He turned, looking at the woman, who seemed somehow familiar, and back to the blue hair. He could tell that she was getting onto him about something, but that was about as far as it went since he had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. He watched the exchange in confusion, he was taking an English course, but he had only started just started recently. He caught a word or two, and noticed when Lane pointed to him, but it wasn't enough to even figure out the context. He didn't ask what they were saying, he was still trying to figure it out himself, though with little results. He considered saying something, but decided it probably wouldn't make sense anyway.

message 29: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments "Who- Oh- You made friends! And with a Takahashi no less, it's about time Lane- Er- You probably want to be left alone huh- Work hard on that project then, hey you never know, you might get a contract like you keep talking about." Lane's mother gave him a bright smile and let go of his shoulder, then turned to Kiyo and switched languages. "It's nice to see someone who loves music as much as he does." she gave the confused red head a smile, she'd never met him, but she'd heard rumors about how hard he worked on his own music, about people randomly finding the middle schooler passed out in the studio from lack of sleep because he'd been there for so many hours, and no one could stop him, she knew Lane would do the same thing if she'd let him. She walked away, getting back to her own work, and Lane turned to Kiyo. "Sorry-uh-" he said, not sure what else to say at the moment.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo continued to watch the woman, she talked extremely fast, other times when he heard English it was slower and easier to catch, even outside of school. "Uhh, yeah..." He answered when she turned to him and finally spoke in a language he knew. It still seemed a fairly random thing to say, but most of that was probably just the fact that he didn't know what she had been saying before. "The hell was that?" He looked at Lane and motioned back to the woman with his head, starting to walk towards the studio again since they were almost there anyway.

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane rubbed the back of his head nervously as his mother headed in another direction. "My mom, she's a secretary and assistant here, freaked out when she saw me, though I had snuck in or something." his laugh was quiet, calm, and sounded like he wasn't sure if what he'd said was funny or not. Following behind Kiyo again he shrugged, "Anyway, I guess we have a project to be working on."

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Well, he'd been right in thinking he'd seen her somewhere. Most likely, one of the few times he actually went to the front. "Weird." Kiyo shook his head, partially questioning why she would have immediately thought he snuck in, especially through that door. He actually knew the easiest places to get in without a card, even though he definitely didn't need to. He'd done so a couple of times, mostly because he had been bored and was stuck in a mental rut where he couldn't write anything. Surprisingly enough, it had given him something aside from just a random way to sneak into a building he had near complete access to, so it wasn't completely useless. "Don't touch anything over there," He said as he unlocked the door and motioned over to a wall with various cases, folders, and various other things, none of which were very organized. "I need that notebook again." He held out one hand, the other opening a laptop sitting on a desk and punching in the password.

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane followed him closely, nodding dumbly when he gestured to whatever it was he wasn't supposed to touch. Kiyo was seemed fairly rude, but the blue haired boy was pretty sure he was just blunt, extremely blunt, with very little filter. Scrambling to dig the notebook out of his bag he pulled it out and smoothed the cover, which was creased down the middle. Handing it to Kiyo he carefully opened it to the pages he assumed the red head would want.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo snatched it from him, and instead of flipping through the numerous pages he needed, just ripped them out. He spread them out on the empty part of the desk tossing aside anything that he accidentally tore with the rest. It was hardly legible, extremely jumbled, and yet he still managed to somehow line them up in the right order so he could transfer it to the computer. "Now I just need music..." He stood momentarily, turning so he sat facing the back of the chair. "Are you useful on anything but piano?"

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane visibly flinched at the loud tearing noise that his notebook made when Kiyo tore out more than he needed to. Making sure to save the extra pages from the obnoxious redhead he tucked them protectively back into the book and stood back from the other boy. "Uh- I- I play guitar, drums, piano, I know my way around a synth fairly well. . ." he answered the rude sounding question in a quiet voice, stuttering into it at first, then getting a bit more confident as he spoke, but trailed off toward the end, trying not to sound too full of himself.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments "So if that's the case, everything seems to be covered..." Kiyo spun the chair around and dragged the lyrics to one side of the screen, opening a synth program on the other side. He only needed to figure out the music now, which was often a pain since he generally came up with lyrics first and finding something to fit those didn't always word out so well. He hummed a couple of things under his breath, but didn't go to type anything as he leaned forward on the back of the chair.

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane leaned over, reading the lyrics for the first time now that they were typed up and legible. They were interesting, that was for sure, not like the few songs he'd finished, though he didn't write lyrics very often since they usually came out sounding weird. "I think I may have an idea." he smirked, grabbing his the guitar case he'd set down when they'd entered the room and pulling out his dark acoustic guitar ad strumming a few chords to make sure it was tuned. Taking the first line of the lyrics Kiyo had written and placing them with an upbeat tune he'd planned out a few days ago that he didn't have anything to go with yet.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo watched out of the corner of his eye, listening when he actually started playing something. Well, he wasn't wrong. He could at least play. Adding in the bit Lane played into the synth, he played it again, muttering the lyrics along with it. It actually sounded decent. He hopped out of the chair and grabbed his own guitar from where it was leaning on the wall, plugging a cord running from under the table into the bottom. Starting from the beginning again, he played the first verse a couple of times, once going on to the second without even realizing.

Tessa (panicrocks95) | 1539 comments Lane was surprised at how quickly Kiyo joined in, his sound becoming a back-up to the melodies floating out of the amp with each movement of the red heads hands. He wasn't sure what he'd been expecting with Kiyo, but he knew he wasn't expecting this, he had ten times more talent Lane did, and knew exactly how to use it. Quickly Lane played a few harmonies on his guitar then set it down as Kiyo continued to play, he swiped a pair of drumsticks from a set in the corner and sat on the stool, beginning a slight rhythm to follow Kiyo.

Lizzie [may soda be eternal] (kisaragiidolmomo) | 959 comments Kiyo kicked his shoes off and reached over to hit a button beneath the table. A small red light on one of the boards flickered on, signaling that it was recording what they were currently doing. It wasn't usable, but he wanted to keep track of it until he decided to actually record something. Going back to the start another time, he added to the beginning, right before the first verse, then continued on with what had already been done, muttering the lyrics with the tune. Some of it would have to be changed or adjusted, but overall it fit fairly well.
