Everything had Milomir freaking out. The floating bubbles, his injuries, his earlier scare with the disappearing and reappearing girl, falling out of the tree. It was a lot to try and process for him, and he was not handling it well. His breath came in short, pain filled pants from the injuries to his ribs, but he was seconds away from starting to hyperventilate.
At least, he was until the puppy, what he called Sobaka, fell into the bubble. A shaking hand reached out to grab the small stuffed animal and bring it close, pressing it against him and slowly calming his breathing. Every breath he took hurt, and his hands stung from grabbing wildly at the branches. Deep inside of him, something stirred in response to his pain. It was a familiar feeling that he got whenever he was scared or hurt, but he pushed it away this time because Lucy was there. He knew she would help him, would protect him. He flinched at the sound of a breaking window, and a soft noise of pain escaped him when she grabbed his arm to tug him into the room.
Then she passed out and he started to really freak out. He couldn't pace or anything because his ribs hurt, so he just sat on the floor and tried really, really hard to not hyperventilate and pass out. It was not working well as he reached up to tug on Lucy's shirt like a frightened little kid. "L-looseee?" he whimpered out, terrified.

Lucy's consciousness had slowly faded into an uncounscious world of terrors, enough to horrify her even now that she was an adult. It had always been basically the same nightmare, with tiny variations to keep her o her toes, but still, it was almost always essentially the same. Lucy was panting, dashing from alley to alley, trying to avoid the shadowy beasts coming to take her away to their torture dungeon, but today, there was a new twist. Instead of chasing after her, Lucy found they were chasing after a young boy beside her and he looked just like- Milomir. She tried to get the shadows attention, but it was no use, and they ended up chaining her down. But worst of all, she was unable to help as they took Milomir's arm, mouth gaping open, about to swallow him whole. But before she could see what happened next, her shirt began to be pulled down, taking her along with it, into an endless wight abyss.
Lucy awoke with a loud gasp, her head flinging upwards and her eyes filled with fear. Her neck was covered in beads of sweat, and it took Lucy a second to realize it had simply been a dream. When she did however, her first reaction was to look around for Milomir, though she quickly found him tugging at her shirt, undoubtedly the reason for her dream to end. Honestly, she would have liked to thank the boy for that, but now was no time to tell the boy what he had saved her from, so instead she pushed herself to her feet carefully, her vision bleary but gtting clearer by the second. Honestly it was a miracle she had recovered so quickly, but the second the rush of panic passed she would undoubtedly end up passing out again, potentially for a longer period of time.
She crouched down to Milomir, just the barest hints of tears in the corners of her eyes, before she smiled softly. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you." She murmured softly, meaning it in both the way that she would take care of his injuries, and the way that she would take care of him for as long as she could, if not as long as she lived. Putting her arm around his shoulder, she gently helped him up onto the bed, praying that it wouldn't injure him any farther.
She quickly set off searching the infirmary, and quite luckily came up with a book of basic treatments. She flipped through the index until she found what she was looking for, and quickly flew through the pages until she reached the article she wanted. She graze over what it said, and basically consluded that he needed painkillers. Fractured ribs would heal themselves in time, but until then he would need painkillers. Tossing the book back onto the shelf sloppily, Lucy rushed over to some pill bottles on a desk, sifting through each of them.
Muscle relaxers, stomach cramp relief, pain killers, slee- Wait! She went back a bottle, and sure enough, it was painkiller. She would have liked for him to drink it with a glass of water, but she didn't have time nor patience to go find both a cup and a sink. So instead, she rushed back to Milomir, and dumped a pill into the palm of her hand, holding it out to Milomir. "You, have, to, swallow, this." She said slowly, hoping her slight uncertainty was decently masked by her slow words, an attempt at helping Milomir better understand her.
Milomir flinched when Lucy awoke with a gasp, wide-eyed as he released her shirt, leaving behind a bloody handprint as he stared at her, scared he'd hurt her somehow.
He watched her crouch down near him, and he was relieved to see she didn't seem hurt in any way. She said something about caring for him, which he hoped meant she knew how to help his hurts. He whined softly as she helped him up and onto the nearest bed, the movement making his ribs hurt more. He knew that it would hurt regardless, but that didn't make the pain any more bearable. Despite what he'd underwent in his life, he had a terribly low pain tolerance.
Milomir watched as Lucy raced off, looking around in the infirmary while he clutched a now slightly bloodied Sobaka, to his chest. It hurt his hands to hold the doll, but he'd take his hands stinging over hyperventilating easily. When she approached him again with something in her hand, he looked up at her for a long moment, then down at what was in her hands. He let go of the blue puppy, revealing his bloodied handprints on it, to reach for the pill, then hesitated and turned his hand over to show how bloodied it was from being sliced open by the bark as he fell. "Hurt.....blood...." he murmured softly.

Lucy almost gasped when she saw his hand, only now truly being able to take in his injuries, but she swallowed it down. She had- She had to be strong, if nothing else for Milomir. She had to help, no, she would help him, because if she couldn't put aside her own needs to help Milomir, then what kind of motherly figure would she be? What kind of decent human being would she be to not help someone so young and child-like at heart? She would have gone on giving a mental inspirational lecture all day, but it quickly came back to her why she was giving it in the first place, bringing her back to reality.
She looked Milomir in the eye, pushing her uncertainty to the farthest corners of her mind. "This will help make the pain go away." She explained softly, pointing to the pill in the palm of her hand. Using her free hand, she demonstarted what he had to do by bringing her free hand up to her mouth as if dropping in the pill, and swallowed, though in reality she wasn't actually swallowing anything. Once again, she offered the pills to Milomir, and hoped with all her heart that they would start working quickly, because she couldn't stand to watch Milomir in this much pain for much longer.
Milomir lifted his other hand for her inspection to show it was as bad as the first. He looked up at her with big eyes, on the verge of tears as he did. He looked down at the pill again and gingerly wiped the blood off of his fingers so that he could reach forward and pick it up, wincing as fresh blood from his hands trickled down his wrists at the movement, then mimicked what she did and dropped the pill into his mouth, swallowing several times with a grimace. "ew....hard go down.....tasty not." he murmured, making a face.

Lucy let out a breath she hadn't been aware she was holding when Milomir swallowed the pill. According to the small portion of the book she had read, his body would do most of the work as far as healing ribs, but then she remembered all his other injuries, namely his hands. She forced herself to not hug him, something that would by no means help him right now, and instead focused on how she could help his hands. You just had to wash the hand, spritz on the anti-infectant stuff, and bandage the wound, right? Something like that?
First, Lucy looked for water, and after a moment of scanning the area found a small sink with rags next to it in the corne of the room. She signaled with her hand for Milomir to stay, and was off in a second, zipping to the sink. The blur had resigned to only the very edge of her vision, and she found she was very minimally dizzy, but still, she would need some more rest soon, because even she could tell after the adrenaline faded the effects would come back as strong as ever. She snatched the rag, wet it under the sink, but before she could fly back to Milomir, she spotted some anti-infectant spray, so she grabbed that too.
She was back by his side in a moment, and wasted no time. She set down the spray on the nightstand, and gently took one of his hands, quickly locating multiple large cuts, and got to work wiping at all of them in the best balance of effectiveness and softness as she could manage. Once she had finished, she did the same with the other hand faster then before, and quickly snatched up the spray. "This will a hurt a little, but it will help make the cuts go away." She tried explaining as if to a little child, but shortly after her warning she spritzed the stuff on the cuts, hoping it wouldn't sting too terribly.
Milomir did not like the pill that Lucy had given him. It didn't taste good, and it didn't want to go down either. It took a lot of swallows to get it to go down his throat. His attention went back down to his bloody hands afterward, the blood dripping down his wrists by this point. While she zipped off to get water, he busied himself with picking the bark from the cuts in his hands, piling it in his lap. Sobaka watched from its perch on his knee. When he was done, she was back with a rag soaked in water. He flinched from her touch at first with a soft whine but held his hands out nonetheless so she could clean them up.
Then she sprayed the anti-infectant spray on it. He yelped in pain at the sting, leaping up and fanning his hands as he whimpered, looking at her with big eyes full of tears, wondering why she had put something on his hands that stung so badly.

The second Milomir yelped the anti-infectant was flung across the floor, and Lucy held her hands up to signal she was done. Guilt was written across her entire face even though she was helping him, she just didn't like hurting Milomir. "It's over now, no more of that stuff." She murmured, feeling even more pained by the tears in his eyes. Oh what she'd give to be able to communicate with him. "Now I just need to bandage your hands," She wrapped an invisible bandage around her own hands to signal bandaging. "And then I'll be done." She explained, really really hoping he caught on. She walked over to a nearby cabinet, too tired to fly, and swung it open. She quickly located the bandages, and grabbed them along with a couple pins to keep the bandage in place. Speed walking back over to Milomir, she set both things down, pointing to each one for Milomir and hoping he wouldn't freak out any more.
Milomir cradled his hands with a soft whine, watching as she chucked the anti-infectant across the floor before looking up at her again. It took a moment, but his hands ended up not stinging anymore as she spoke, but he didn't really understand what she was saying until he saw her mimicking what she wanted to do with her own hands. He glanced down at his hands, then up at her, and did that a few times as she grabbed bandages for his hands. By the time she returned, he was willing to hold his hands out for her to wrap them, though they were shaking from his fear of it hurting again as he closed his eyes and looked away.

Quite honestly, this was killing Lucy. She felt like giving herself a good punch in the face for being such a terrible person, but she perservered. "It's alright," She cooed, trying to make Milomir feel better, and hopefully, by extension, herself. "It's almost over." Well, Lucy assumed it was. He'd still have to take the pain killers for a while she assumed, but there was no need to really explain that. She bit her lip, and finally forcing herself to continue, gently took Milomir's hands. She wrapped a bandage around each one as effectively as she good, and quickly picked up the pins again. She didn't dare rush through this part for fear of poking him, so instead she did it slowly, but finally managed to actually finish. Stepping back a bit and leaning against the nightstand, she smiled softly at him. "There we go," She yawned, the exhaustion clear in Lucy's voice. "All... better..." She could already feel herself nodding off, but she forced her eyelids to stay open, awaiting anything Milomir might need or want.
Milomir peeked at his hands when she stepped back, relaxing when he saw they were bandaged and that it hadn't hurt. He'd been worried it would since the spray she put on it had burned. He sniffled quietly, yawning shortly after she did. Glancing at the beds, he gestured and said, "Nap? We nap here?" he paused as he realized that Sobaka still had blood on it and he frowned, moving to pick it up and look around for a way to clean it off first. He couldn't nap with it covered in blood after all.

Lucy smiled softly at Milomir, glad he looked no longer scared, and her smile only spread into a sleepy grin when he suggested napping. She had been about to take him up on that offer, when he picked up his little blue puppy which she believed he had called Sobaka and frowned, undoubtedly at the blood. If she hadn't found it so absolutely adorable, she honestly would have sighed. But she did find it adorablle, so naturally, she complied. "Here, I can go wash of the blood with warm water." Lucy offered, drifting over to Milomir with her eyes visibly drooping ever few seconds. Just one more job. She repeated in her mind, determined to not fall asleep until Milomir was happy.
Milomir was going to give her Sobaka to wash up, until he realized more clearly that she was very tired, quite possibly from whatever she had done to carry them, the same thing that had caused her to fly and levitate around him maybe? He wasn't sure and while he did trust her (she helped him more than once, and she was very kind to him so he couldn't help but trust her) to an extent at least, he couldn't force her to do more if she was tired. "No, no, you rest." he said, looking concerned as he saw her eyes drooping. "You rest. I wash." he reassured her as best he could.

Although Milomir's consideration absolutely warmed her heart, she couldn't possibly allow him while so injured to go and wash his little stuffed puppy. But... she was tired... Lucy barely stifled a yawn, but tried looking a little more awake by forcing her eyes open a decent way, not quite wide open but open enough to not look ready to fall asleep. "No, I'm fine, the sink's just over there, I can clean him..." Lucy offered, spacing out a little as she imagined the comfy warmth of the bed. She quickly shook her head however, and refocused on Milomir, an idea suddenly forming in her mind. "I know, why don't we do it together?" It could work, potentially. Lucy could help support Milomir, and perhaps even vice versa on a couple occasions, but the point was they might be able to help each other out to clean Sobaka.
Milomir was not sure if she should. She looked really sleepy....but she seemed to really want to help. He nodded after a moment of contemplating what she said, trying to place the word together in his limited vocabulary. "We do, together, wash Sobaka." he decided with a small smile. They could both sleep for a while when Sobaka was clean. It would be reassuring to have her be nearby, even if whatever she had done before scared him. He yawned a little, his eyes fluttering as he tried to keep them open. The pain medicine she'd given him was starting to make him drowsy as it kicked in fully, numbing the pain in his ribs and hands. He'd likely fall asleep as soon as his new favorite treasured item was cleaned of the blood he'd put on it by accident in his desire for comfort.
