Section 4

Please do not discuss events from later chapters/books. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.

I'm harboring a hope that Bobble will become part of the crew. And wow the suspense continues. I have a lot of respect for Naomi. And....not a ton more to say. I just want to read until everyone is safe and worry they won't be.

I was harboring hopes Bobbie would join crew back in book 2. Sadly that didn't happen. So happy to have her back though. I think they should keep her in EVERY book. And Avasarala. Assuming they both live.

And they better live. *Shakes virtual fist at James SA Corey*

Not much to add, but this: Avasarala wasn't running Earth by her choice. Now the terrorists put her in charge. I don't think they realized how bad this is going to be.

Despite the seriousness of everything, her "diplomacy" when talking to Bobbie about the Martian Prime minister is HILARIOUS. Adds some much needed comic relief for me.

I'm already a good chunk into the last section now, so I don't want to make any more comments in case it's from the next part.

I'll be finishing up today. Hopefully soon. Off to mow the lawn then do about 20 miles on the bike. That should knock out most of what I have left.

Okay, so now I see where Marco's going with this - control all the space, deny everyone access to the rings, force them all to be dependent on the Belters again for mining and stuff. I don't think he's got enough to enforce all this, but at least it's a plan.

God, I love Avasarala - I want more, but then I think maybe she's best in smaller bits, but then I want more.

Bobbie and Alex - yay, she's got her power armor on! And Alex has a crush going on and maybe she's feeling it too?

Amos and Clarissa - I was never too worried about Amos. I guess it was good to have one of them on Earth during the attack though. And is Peaches going to join the crew? All this talk at the beginning about expanding the crew has me wondering about all the side characters.

Naomi - like Filip - is he going to see the light? I don't think so (I kind of hope not, though I don't want him to die, but that would be a bit cliché). I'm impressed and glad that we're finally getting her backstory because she always seemed a bit blah to me before. Now she's pretty great. I really, really want her to totally fuck Marco up.

Holden - telling the reporter NOT to expose the theft? Finally thinking through the consequences of his actions? Awesome, he finally stopped being someone I just want to smack upside the head.

Yeah I thought I detected just a little bit of jealousy with Bobbie when Alex talked about Naomi....but it might just be a little envy for the closeness of the group. Besides, Bobbie is totally cool. Love her character.

Ha yeah Holden showed some growth in this one - actually showing some restraint and thinking about consequences. I think his talk with the reporter sure shocked her - that is not the Holden she knows.

Bobbie is definetly my favorite character. I hope she joins the crew.

Man the pace just keeps getting more and more frantic, but with Earth getting pummeled, what happened to Anna? (The Reverend from book 3: Abbadon's Gate). Bobbie and Clarissa should totally join the Roci family.

I agree - they would be good family members. You are right - we don't know about Anna or so many other people - makes it more realistic but I'd sure love to know.

How long do you think it's been since the events of Leviathan Wakes?

I'm guessing 8-10 years, maybe a little less.

Hmm. That's a good question. I'm not really sure TBH.

Yeah, I was curious about the timeline. There are references to 10 years later or so it seemed, but in reference to what I wasnt sure.
