Here are three of my favorites for this category, all YA: Annie on My Mind, Entries from a Hot Pink Notebook, and Two Boys Kissing.
Oh, I love Rubyfruit Jungle! So hard for me to believe that Rita Mae Brown went from writing that and In Her Day to books about talking cats solving mysteries.
Something by Andrew Solomon - Far from the Tree is amazing but 700 pages long, so maybe Noonday Demon or A Stone Boat?
A Single Man I listened to the audiobook recently. It's a quiet book--and devastating. I read "A Little Life" afterwards and the two pair well together.
Another vote for Two Boys Kissing. Works great on audio. Also Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal? is very interesting.
As a listener to The Readers podcast, I often hear them discuss the Green Carnation Prize. In fact Simon was one of the founders. I'm surprised neither Ann nor Michael mentioned this.

definitely an oversight on our part. Sorry about that!

I read a book of poetry by Andrea Gibson recently called Pole Dancing to Gospel Hymns. Andrea deals a lot with themes of LGBTQ, mental illness, etc., and their poetry is absolutely fantastic. Perfect if you're looking for a book on this subject.
Your podcast episode on this Bingo category reminded me of Jane Rule. I've read a few of her books, my favourite being Memory Board, a tender portrayal of two elderly women coping with Alzheimer's disease and the wonderful support they get from their extended family.
Here is a list of books recommended by my sis who is a lesbian: http://sessastories.tumblr.com/post/1...
I haven't got this square but would recommend anything by Sarah Waters but especially The Night Watch set in London in WWII - it's such a great book. I also loved The Hours
It will be interesting to see how the books used for this square are different post-2015. #LOVEWINS!!! #JUSTICEWINS!!!
So I tried Oranges. But it's not for me. Have to look at my shelves for something else ASAP so I can get my first BINGO!
