David (r2drivenimpala) | 69 comments The Face of Apollo. Not exactly Greek gods, but people who take on their powers/personalities by wearing enchanted masks. Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but it was well written and enjoyable. I've only read this book, but there's an entire series.

Maybe it was "fictional," after autocorrect.

Tammy ~Witching Hour Reads~ (03tammy-lynn) Everneath trilogy was good.

Melanie (melaina) | 32 comments The first dozen Dark Hunter books, by Sherrilyn Kenyon maybe? They're PNR, with some heavy Greek and Mesopotamian mythology thrown in there. The prequel is Fantasy Lover, then the Dark-Hunter series starts with Night Pleasures.

Another series with Greek gods (and other mythological creatures) and romance is the Goddess Summoning series, by P.C. Cast. For example, Goddess of Spring is the whole Demeter/Persephone myth :)

Peter Meilinger | 469 comments Summon the Keeper by Tanya Huff is about a woman who is tasked with solving supernatural problems. She is forced into the role of caretaker for a hotel that has a portal to Hell in the basement and attracts an extremely odd clientele. At one point, the entire aging Greek pantheon comes through and stays awhile. It's not a very large part of the story, but it's fun and the whole book is a great read.

A Dozen Tough Jobs by Howard Waldrop is a re-telling of Hercules' labors set in the American South in the 1920s. There are no actual gods involved but I think anyone interested in Greek mythology would find it worth reading. It's hard to find, though. It's been published as as standalone novella and in the collection All about Strange Monsters of the Recent Past: Neat Stories.
