Group Read - White Is The Coldest Colour by John Nicholl - July
I'll probably have a lot on my plate but, what the hell- sign me up! Been waiting on this one. Great pick :)
I read this book a couple of weeks ago - I hope I'm not giving anything away saying that there's nothing light hearted here. (it is a good book and well worth reading)

I've changed my mind on the spoiler thing, the whole point is to be able to talk about the book. Please do join in when the read is underway and give us your thoughts.

Can't wait to do this, how great to see that it grew from three of us to a lot more . This should be fun!
John is in! He's new to social media, so I have provided a step by step on how to become a member of the group and find this thread. Hopefully we will see a message soon from him once he finds his way here! :)
Yay, glad you found us, and welcome! As mentioned, we're going to start reading on July 6th, so please feel free to join in on the discussions that evolve even if they don't involve a specific question. We all appreciate your time and input! See you in July!
Thanks, I just hope I can find my way back here! ( I can be contacted at: nicholl06@hotmail.com) Best wishes, John
Hi John! Welcome to the group and I'm glad you're starting to find your way around. Thanks for agreeing to dip in, much appreciated. Our members love chatting to authors and getting a feel for the person behind the words.
If you have any question, comments about the group, please don't hesitate in asking.
Thanks again.

Well thanks Jan for introducing John to the group, and thanks John for joining us, and hopefully yes we can arrange for a Q & A at the end of the month/early July re the book.
Yes Christine, I saw the interest built up over the last couple of days, and this is a way of adding a great thread to the group.
Alongside our PIFM and Book Pal.
Janet, thanks for setting it up.
I will try to join in, but trying to catch up on so many books.

I think the idea Sean is not to do a formal Q&A like previous ones but a more relaxed group read discussion within the thread. John joining in would be a bonus!! :)

Janet, many thanks for pulling things together for us. Absolutely our aim is for stress free chit chat with John popping in and out at his convenience. It's amazing that this grew on a thread off of Cameron's status update to read White is the Coldest Colour. I don't know how everyone found this obscure thread, but we are very glad you did!
You're very welcome. As long as it stays informal, relaxed; someone puts on the coffee and someone else throws in a cake or two ..... I'm happy!! :-)
Welcome to the group John. We sure are looking forward to getting to know you and the idea behind the book. I hope we all make good company, lol. Thanks for doing this :)Oh, and Jan, thanks for pulling it off!
Cheers

Thanks Ishita but I can't take credit for thinking of it as that was someone else's genius idea! I can only take credit for asking and happy to have helped.
Thanks to all my friends who pulled this together for us and for all the participants (this is going to be such fun!) . A special thanks to our author John for participating and a Q and A. I'm really looking for to it!
No official Q & A Stefanie, very informal. I think Christine said it best, having John pop in and out at his convenience is perfect!
No. This is a relaxed chat not a formal Q&A. I wouldn't want John to feel stressed or overwhelmed. They're hard enough for established authors.
Sorry ive never done a discussion with an author involved and just called it a Q and A because I lacked a better term. My fault for not reading the entire post before commenting!lol
Umm stupid question maybe, I was just about to start this book.. I know this is for July.. Is the idea for everyone to read at the same time? :)
It is yes, thought it might be a fun thing to do and we can discuss as going along. From July onwards I think. Christine has more details.
Ok I will save this one for now! Looking forward to it, and discussing on the way.
I think this book is definitely going to get us all talking!

PLEASE BE AWARE
The purpose of this is to create a feeling like it's a face to face, relaxed, having a coffee kind of discussion. Therefore, the chatting may contain plot spoilers. So, if you don't want to know anything about the book then don't read any further.
Hopefully, this should be fun!
