I don't know Megan. I just asked Jenne on the major discussion. And I volunteered to be help as captain too, since each team needed two. Maybe it us. ;)
So, we as a team need to decide who will be captain / co-captain.I can be one or another (or just a team member too), just let me know.
I did but I'm happy for you to do it Megan if you want, I'm captain of a couple at the minute so it could get confusing lol
Hi everyone! Just popping in on meal break at work. I'm having a bit of a struggle getting my head round everything but I'll have another look tonight and figure it out :) I don't have time to put myself forward as a captain but I'll happily help out if you need it.
Hellooooooo!!!!!! So sorry to be late checking in!!! Super excited for this challenge!!!I'm happy to be either a co-caption or a regular team player. Summer has been willy-nilly so I'm afraid I wouldn't have as much time as I'd like to devote to all that is captain-like 100% of the time.
I am checking in before I read the challenge and task information, so I'll go back and read that stuff now.
PS - V - are we really on the same team????!!!!! Yay!!!! And I bet you thought you got rid of me, Shy, after SS! LOL! I'm back!!!
I see that Juliana & Megan are volunteering to be co-captains. I'm definitely OK with that. Not sure if there are any others wanting to throw their hat into the ring?
Whoop whoop Chickadees Unite haha! I'm happy to just sit back on this one if someone else wants to captain, I think I automatically say yea to everything and don't read up on the challenges before signing up!!
I'm a director in the new AMMP summer camp and have NO IDEA what I'm doing pahahaha !
LOL!I just need someone to tell me what to read. hahaha!
I'm reading a book with "18" in it...
It looks like I can just read it very slowly as long as I finish on the 17th or later, right?
I remember trying to find purple books in a past challenge and it was HARD!!!!!Black covers? I'm your girl!!!!
Lol we've just read Black iris that would have worked (great read btw girlies) And I've just finished the Rock Chick book too grrrr.
P.s books have to be *started* after the 17th so put it away and start it again then ;•)
It doesn't have to be a certain percentage of purple either. As long as it's visible you're good to go.
Hi girls! I'm off to bed, so I read the details tomorrow, but I can be the co-captain.Good night to all.
Hi again. Think I'm getting my head round it. I've just asked about re-reads and how long ago you have to have read them because I've recently finished a series that I would happily re-read to remember how it all fits together, they would probably all fit for retellings, one would fit the mini challenge and two the main one with purple covers. So hopefully I'll be able to use them :) And I should be able to get all 5 read in 2 weeks (they're fairly short but long enough).
I'm off to bed now, another long day tomorrow! Night everyone :)
Sorry I've been MIA today. It's been crazy but I'm around now. I love the idea of questions to get to know each other Megan. Just to be clear we don't start till next week or is it this week. I have a purple item & time book that will work for each.
Megan wrote: "Great! So every other Wednesday when we're assigned a new task, I'll post a new set of "get to know you" questions. Obviously this isn't something you have to do, I just thought it would be a fun a..."Megan I love this idea!

Here's an example of the tracking, scoring, 10 tasks etc in this postSometimes "seeing it" is better than me trying to explain it lol.
Megan wrote: "Which Cussler book would you recommend me to start with, Talia?
Hi Megan,
The first Cussler novel I read was
, and it had me hooked from the exciting beginning, so that would be a good intro. He has one called Atlantis Found that I haven't read yet and am looking forward to because it's gotta be good with that title!

Megan, set your spreadsheet to where anyone with the link can view it. Otherwise it'll only be you :)If you're co-captain is gonna help with editing it too you'll have to add her as an editor by using her email. Let me know if you need help with the instructions and I'll walk you through it.
Yeah, it doesn't have to be exactly like that, whatever is easier for you so long as the pertinent info is there.
Megan wrote: "Which Atlantis Found doesn’t even sound western so I don't know why I assumed that. And when I say western, I mean like cowboys and Indians, etc. Lol."
LOL nope, no westerns. The main character works for a marine agency that finds sunken ships, stuff like that, and he's always racing around the world thwarting some evil guy's dastardly plans or searching for a lost treasure.

I'll be back soon.
Blimey, a girl can miss a lot of chatter when she's asleep!I'm on my phone so I'll try and catch up as quick as much as possible! Megan, I think the questions are a great idea, if you hadn't done them I was going to start getting nosey!! I'll answer them in a separate post as I've forgotten half of them :)
V (I think, my brain's not awake yet) is that the Unfortunate Fairy Tale series? I've just finished it but I'm going to reread it starting next week, that was the one I was talking about. If you fancy buddy reading or just chatting about any of it?

Talia and Megan. I enjoyed Valhalla Rising but I think my favourite is Atlantis Found. The Oregon Files series is fantastic as well, that's my favourite of his series.
Just before I dash off to get ready (and sorry for the run of posts!) I usually work 4 days on, 4 off. which means I'll just be popping in and out for 4 days and then around much more for 4. So I've not disappeared in the middle!
