Bailey Barbour Vivian walked into target training room. She noticed no one else was here, which meant she had the room to herself. Good, no distractions. She thought to herself. Walking up to one of the shooting booths, she pulled her bow from behind her back as well as an arrow.

"First, a warm up..." Vivian whispered to herself as she strung the arrow. Aiming it where she wanted, she let go and watched as the arrow flew down to the target. Activating the rig to bring the target up, she smiled in satisfaction to see she had her mark: the arrow was lodged right in the center. Vivian pulled the arrow out of the target and sent the target back.

She then pulled out a different arrow. It was new, and had been cooked up by Agent Adaire and his team in the weapons lab. Now, she was going to test it. It was supposed to have some blades on it that flung out once the arrow was in the air. Plus, the arrow could double as a grappling hook. But the grappling hook test would be for later. For right now, Vivian just wanted to see what damage it could do. Again, she strung the arrow on the bow and took her shot. In mid-flight, four razored prongs popped out if the original arrowhead. They spun and then hit the target. Vivian brought the target back up, and was amazed that the arrow had actually drilled itself into the target. She pulled it out.

"This is definitely an arrow I could use." Vivian said with a bit of a laugh. "As always, a successful report to bring back to Danny." She put the new arrow down, and continued to practice with her other arrows.

Cadence slipped quietly into the target training area. It was empty, except for Agent Terra. She was using a bow, and Cadence remembered that was her specialty. She could help but admire the other agent's aim.

"Nice shot," she complimented, walking over and studying the arrows. "You've got a pretty nice selection. Any tranq arrows?"

Bailey Barbour "Not here with me. They're back in my room, unless Agent Adaire has snuck in there and grabbed them so he could make some 'improvements'." Vivian said, still aiming her arrow. She let it go after her last word, watching it fly and lodge itself right in the middle of the target dummy's head. As the dummy was being brought back up to her, Vivian turned to Cadence. "Speaking of Adaire, he's waiting for a report on this new arrow of his. However, you seem to have something to tell me, correct Assistant Director?" Vivian yanked the arrow out of the dummy and gathered up all of the rest, waiting for her to respond.

Cadence nodded. "You might need your tranq arrows for this." She sobered, looking at the other arrows. "And maybe some of these, too. I need your help on an important mission, but if it turns out as something you don't want to do, we've got another team we might need you on."

She pulled out her portable hologram and handed it to Vivian. The video of the man stopping the cars came up, paused at the beginning. "Have you seen this?" she asked.

((Have you been keeping up in the director's office?))

Bailey Barbour Vivian put her bow behind her and took the hologram from Cadence. She stared in amazement as the man stopped the cars, like they were nothing. A new special case for S.H.I.E.L.D. to handle. "I've heard a little bit of talk about it, but this is the first time I'm seeing the video." She handed the hologram back to Cadence. "So, what exactly are we planning to do with him? What will I need to do?" Vivian asked. She was no stranger to these mutant types. She had worked with some before, and in her training, she had taken some classes on dealing with them.

Cadence smiled to herself. Somehow she had known that Vivian would jump right on board. "I'm putting together a team together to bring him in, or at the very least to talk to him." She hesitated. "If he turns dangerous, though, Director Ross wants us to remove him." She paused. "I'll need to gather a few more agents, and we won't go until I get the all-clear from Director Ross."

She thought for a second. Vivian probably knew some of the agents better than she herself did. "I'm going to need a Tech agent. Do you have any suggestions?"

Bailey Barbour Vivian tapped the end of the arrow to the top of her head. "Ah, remove him. So is that part of the reason why my arrows and me are coming along?" She asked. Not that she didn't mind to do so if needed. But mutants were very special cases, and they needed to be dealt with carefully. She'd rather talk and get answers out of the guy rather than shooting him. But if he did become dangerous, well, she'd have no other choice.

Vivian looked at the new arrow in her hand. "Agent Adaire made this, and was waiting for me to report back on how it worked. You can come with me and ask him to be on the team if you'd like. He'd probably say yes, unless he's working on a new project."

Cadence nodded. "More or less. If he gets violent, we would try tranqing him first." She motioned to the hologram. "But we don't know how he got his powers, or how his system works, so drugs might go right through him. Just like with, well, Captain America." She winced at the thought of the deceased legend.

She considered Agent Adaire. She had run into him a couple times before. "I think he'd be a good option. And this is more important than any other project at the moment."

Bailey Barbour "Yeah, tranquilizing is an option for him." Vivian said. "Just the fun part will be getting his big motionless body out of there if we do that. But I guess it would be better than killing him. Unless, of course, there's no other way." Vivian said. She grew uneasy when Cadence mentioned Captain America. It was sad to think about what happened to the great super soldier. Vivian hadn't met him, but she had respected everything he did.

Vivian focused back on the conversation. "Try telling him that. Those weapons and inventions of his are all he can think about sometimes." Vivian said. Though sometimes all Dan could think about were girls, and how he could flirt with them. "It would do him some good though to go out on a mission. Get him out of those labs for a bit."

Cadence grinned. "I can believe that." Sometimes she was so focused on work around base that Vivian made her go on an easy mission, just to get her head out of paperwork for a while. "Well, lead on." She could only hope she could get him on board. He was her best option at the moment.

(Okay! :))

Duchess Natalia of the Northern Lights in the sky (duchessnataliaofnorthernlights) | 41 comments Maybell walked in to the target training room. SHe wasn't doing much to begin with except just tossing and catching a knife. "I should do something productive." She said to herself so she got her bow and quill and started to shoot the targets.

Cadence was walking past the target training room when she caught sight of Agent Mason. "Ah, there you are, Maybell," she said, stepping into the room. "Getting a little practice in?"

Duchess Natalia of the Northern Lights in the sky (duchessnataliaofnorthernlights) | 41 comments "Yeah. Might as well there isn't many other things to do here." Maybell said with a smile.
