On Thursday, June 18th, Harlee and I are going to be starting a buddy read of the 4th book in the Unwind dystology!

Yay! One of the best series conclusions I've ever read.

I am sooooo excited to read this but now that I'm in love with the series I don't want it to end!

Same here Harlee. I was dragging it out! For me, this book blew my mind! Loved it!

I was wondering who the author is? Also, I tried messaging you David but I'm not sure you got it. in regards to The Dweller books on Audible, isn't there one book missing? If so, will it be added?

Hi Angela! The author of this series is the incredible Neal Shusterman :)

I don't think I got your message either, Angela, so sorry! Yes, my audiobook publisher hasn't yet set a date for the rest of the series. There are actually four books missing right now: Fire Country, Ice Country, Water & Storm Country, and The Earth Dwellers. Hopefully they'll determine the release dates for these books soon, and then get them up on Audible for preorder! I'll keep you all posted as soon as I know more. Thanks for your interest :)

I started! 9% in so far and I've really missed this world and these characters. (view spoiler)[Argent is awful, he and Nelson deserve each other. I'm sensing a pretty bad ending for BOTH of them. I liked how SHusterman opened with the scene of the AWOL trying to escape and getting picked up by the parts pirates. Brought me back into the world in a real hurry. (hide spoiler)]

I think you'll be very intrigued by the story arc of Argent's character, David. The author does some really interesting things with him in this book.

That's REALLY good to hear. I love characters that have a great degree of complexity. Kind of like The Mayor's son in Chaos Walking. Davey I think his name was.

Oh yes, I remember him. I do really like characters who are layered and multi-dimensional-- especially when the author takes creative liberty with them and used them in ways that totally take you by surprise, but then you think about what happened and you realize that everything that transpired with him/her was totally in character. That happens here in Undivided, and I think you'll really appreciate it.

And I couldn't help but smile at the humor between Connor and Risa. (hide spoiler)] I think Lev is still my favorite but Connor is a very close second.

I'm now at 26%, about to start chapter 15. (view spoiler)[A Cam chapter! Finally! He's been my favorite since he was introduced. Such an interesting character, and I love the way he's fooling everybody. Can't wait to see what he does.

And HOORAY for Lev and Una getting their revenge for Wil. The world is a better place with those two parts pirates taken off the streets.

I'm stopping at chapter 11 for the night. I really like Una. She's hardcore and tough but is indecisive and full of emotions inside.

Just got to chapter 15. (view spoiler)[ I had to read the last paragraph of chapter 14 a few times to understand what the groundskeeper meant. Sad! I know I should be appalled and horrified by Starkey and the Storks but I kind of respect his brutal fighting style. Though it definitely is not helping to stop unwinding and the addition of clappers is terrifying. <\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

I LOVED that too. Shusterman's creativity has no limits :)

Harlee, sorry I took yesterday off and was reading like crazy (this book is so good!) and I totally forgot to post my thoughts LOL! Thanks for all your comments, here are my responses and own thoughts up to where you are: (view spoiler)[I love Una too! Her and Lev make a great team. It was so good seeing them get justice for Wil. It doesn't change what happened to him, but still...

Starkey is a really tough character to like, he's so...arrogant...but I know what you mean. I don't feel bad when he and his crew take down those harvest camps. Even though it's only adding fuel to the fire, I still get kind of pumped about it!

Argent! Daniel was right when he said that he becomes an even more interesting character in this book. I'll add more thoughts in a separate spoiler.

The Bonsai Men! Oh my gosh, maximum freakiness! But just wait, the freakiness gets even higher with another weird human toy later on... (hide spoiler)]

I'm up to 82% (chapter 66) (view spoiler)[Argent Argent Argent! I like the way Shusterman made Argent turn back to help Connor. Argent didn't suddenly have an epiphany and want to be a "good guy", he just wanted to hitch himself to Connor's star. He just wants to be NEEDED. He doesn't really have any morals, he's just a lonely guy who desperately needs someone to accept him. Connor understood that perfectly, and used it to save Risa and the other unwinds on the plane. So glad he had Nelson unwound, although it was freaking scary picturing him watching through the portal window after turning off the anesthesia.

Connor can't be dead. He can't. But I think he is.

OK, the Bonsai Men were freaky. But the Organic Organ? Gah. I shudder to think about it! It had something like 88 different faces...

Oh, and it's really sad what happened to Sonia and that little boy who resembled Lev.

Speaking of Lev, WTH? Geez, I still can't believe he did what he did. Talk about making a statement! But I hate that he had to die to do it. It was kind of the opposite to clapping.

Grace! Although I was SO PISSED at her when she broke the printer, she was the shining star during the fire. My heart was pounding when she squeezed through that tiny window. Can't wait to see what she does next.

Cam- I guessed they were building an army, but that scene still gave me the shivers. I love that Cam is playing Roberta, pretending to be on her side but secretly plotting against her. I think that's it for now, I should finish today! (hide spoiler)]

I did it! LOL I finished yesterday afternoon and have been thinking about it ever since. In my opinion, the 4th book, and the ending in particular, was perfection. So many FEELS! I loved every single character's ending. (view spoiler)[The Una/Wil wedding was so moving, and I'm amazed at how far Cam has come.

Thank you, Neal Shusterman, for giving Connor and Risa such a perfect ending and rewinding Connor! Gah. Loved it.
