Theresa | 61 comments As I'm getting ready for a trip next week, one thing I'm planning out is what books I'll bring for the airport and plane and in what formats. While I usually go with paper books, trying to travel light makes me reach for the Overdrive app on my phone.

Anyone have favorite books for travel?
Do you usually bring paper books or ebooks or audiobooks?

Emily (emgusk) | 10 comments I'm currently reading All the Light We Cannot See and it's excellent. Definitely a good one for travel.

The only reason I bought an ereader was for travel! Now I can carry it in even my smallest purse. I love real books the most, but I get way more reading done now that I have an ereader (and the library can lend ebooks!). No matter what format, I am always reading library books :)

Theresa | 61 comments I just put a hold on that one! Everyone's raving about it.

I might download Partners in Crime. It's an old favorite, and while I normally don't love short stories, I have a terrible attention span when I'm traveling, so something I can pick up and put down easily is something I look for.

Melissa (irishcontessa) | 9 comments I just posted about this in the Facebook book club! I'm getting ready for a week long trip home including a full day train ride each way. I've been downloading books from Overdrive left and right so I'll have a fully stocked Kindle for the trip. Like Emily, I got a Kindle specifically for travel so I never run out of reading material if I'm stuck somewhere unexpectedly.

Theresa | 61 comments Oh fun, Melissa! Feel free to share the link for the FB club here! Is there one book that's at the top of your TBR for the trip home?

Melissa (irishcontessa) | 9 comments I checked out a mix of mysteries, romances, and historical fiction so I'll have something no matter what mood I'm in during the trip :)

The FB book club is

Melissa (irishcontessa) | 9 comments Okay, that was supposed to have a link to the FB book club but it cut off for some reason! It's We Heart Romance at https://www.facebook.com/groups/wehea...

Theresa | 61 comments Are you a fan of SBTB? A lot of my romance loving friends tell me it's a great place to read (funny, snarky) reviews and get suggestions for what to read next.

Melissa (irishcontessa) | 9 comments Yes, SBTB is one of the blogs I point folks to if they are looking for reviews before reading a book or author! I've met Sarah Wendell several times and she's so funny. She just did a great NPR podcast on romance books that was so much fun.
