Lynanne Carroll (waterfall17) | 11 comments :waves:

I'm Lynanne and I'm 25 and therefore ancient according to my youth group (my husband's a youth pastor) :)

I've been blogging for about 1.5 years over on DaybreakInAutumn and have been slowly but surely conquering my current project: an 8 book YA SF/F series that features 8 main characters and their individual journeys inside the bigger story (think GoT with the characters separated into books instead of chapters). Yes, this project is crazy. Sometimes it makes me want to rip my hair out and pitch one of those in-the-grocery-aisle toddler fits...

I'm also quite the fan of BBC's Merlin? Have you seen it?

Laurence R. (lauromantique) | 9 comments Hi everyone! I'm Laurence and I'm 17. I've had my blog for about a year, just to write about life in general when I feel like there's no one listening. I'm also a reviewer here on Goodreads and I've been thinking about posting my reviews on a blog, but I still have to create it. Since I'm French Canadian, my blog's in French, but you can still check it out if you want to. Here's the link: http://petitelaue.blogspot.ca/?m=1 ! I'm not looking for subscribers (in fact, I'm not even sure if I have any) but people liking my blog posts always makes me happy, since it's just another way to express myself. I'm really excited to meet all of you!

message 14: by (Jen) (new)

(Jen) The Artist Librarian (theartistlibrarian) | 2 comments Thanks for starting this, Ally!

Hi everyone! I'm Jen or The Artist Librarian. I'm studying to be a children's or teen-focused public librarian. My undergrad was in Studio Art, hence my blog title. ;-)

I decided to combine my two loves of reading and arts & crafts on my blog, which I've had for almost a year. Recently, I've been getting into costuming so sewing is my number one crafting focus. Hopefully I'll be able to get more costume, tutorials, and crafts posts up this summer but that means I'll have to go through all my photos sitting on my external drive, haha.

I'm a total fangirl (too many fandoms to count): Star Wars, How to Train Your Dragon (well, animated movies in general, really), DC (and Marvel) things on screen ... If you look at the costuming tab in my blog, you'll probably get a feel what I'm into. ;-)

Ah, Whovians! I'm a wannabe Whovian, because I've loved the episodes I've seen (looking at you, Matt Smith!) but I've been told I need to start from the beginning of the reboot? :)

If you're interested in learning more about me, check out the intro on my blog and see if there's anything interesting to you: http://theartistlibrarian.blogspot.com

message 15: by Hope (new)

Hope Hello everyone!

I'm Hope. I'm a 16 year old Christian who has a love for reading and writing. I love old things {especially old books}. I also watch way too much British television {including Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Robin Hood}.

I do have a blog, but I'm not entirely sure what to do with it now {it's complicated}. You can visit it at stitchesoffreedom.com

message 16: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Wolf (jessica_wolf) | 5 comments Hello! I'm Jess and I started blogging over at simple-scribbles.com about three months ago. (That might be totally wrong; I'm not good at keeping track of time.) I'm currently editing my first novel and working on my second. Yikes.

I watch entirely too many period pieces, and I have recently fallen in love with Stephen King and his writing. So if you ever find me being entirely too emotional about books on Twitter, blame him.

message 17: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (baseballblondie) | 3 comments My name is Dawn. I've probably been blogging for about 5 years now. This year though, I've revamped my blog and streamlined it some. Book related posts M-F. Saturday I talk about whatever.

I have a couple of jobs - makeup and a trainer for Houston's Human Resources Department.

message 18: by Ally (new)

Ally Welcome to the group, everyone! If you haven't, feel free to share the link to your blog and social media on the 'Share Your Blog' thread. Maybe visit other members' blogs while you're at it :)

message 19: by Serena (new)

Serena (serena_poetree) | 4 comments Hey everyone!
I post book reviews, an occasional poem, and a few other random shenanigans over at poetree. My favorite genres are fantasy and Christian fiction (though I typically avoid romance-centered novels), and I like trees and horses and chocolate. I studied sustainable agriculture in college, but I currently work in the office of a non-profit organization.

message 20: by Ana (new)

Ana | 4 comments Hi, everyone! I'm Ana and I'm a teen book blogger over at Butterflies of the Imagination (https://butterfliesoftheimagination.w...). When I'm not blogging or studying like crazy I love to run long distances and get muddy in the process. You can also find me devouring the pages of a book, furiously scribbling down stories, sewing my own clothes and coding up a storm. I believe that one can never consume enough peppermint and chocolate.

message 21: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Harrell | 1 comments Hello Bookfriends,

I'm Rachel, I am 15 and on my blog xBookwonderlandx ( http://xbookwonderlandx.blogspot.com/ ) I review books. My blog isn't that popular and I try to update more often now since I am finally out of school for the summer. I am addicted to reading, I absolutely love reading about other worlds and living lives through other people. I also write but I haven't published any of my works though I am hoping to soon. My favorite genre is most likely fantasy. My favorite series is The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare and yeah, that's pretty much it :)

message 22: by Ally (new)

Ally Thanks for joining!

Rachel, hopefully you'll find some blogging buddies in our little group :)

message 23: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) Hullo, everyone!

I'm C.B., and I've been blogging for... oh gravy, almost two years. I recently self-published my first book... what else? I'm learning Russian. I am also a Holmie, and honorary Narnian, and I am definitely an elf. Preferably one from Lothlorien, but Rivendell or Mirkwood would be okay, too.

Our preacher at my old congregation used to teach me and all the other homeschool kids karate. I LOVED it, but he stopped teaching and it was too expensive to pay for lessons.
:(

And you're right. Steampunk assassins and psychotic cats aren't interesting at ALL. ;)

message 27: by Emily (new)

Emily Behnke | 2 comments Hi everyone! I'm Emily and I'm a sophomore in college. Like many book lovers, I'm an English major. I recently started a review blog over at bookgrinds.wordpress.com. I'm new to the blogging scene, so I'd love to make some friends in the community!

message 31: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Cnossen (abookishsarah) | 2 comments Hello, all! I'm Sarah, and I'm a twenty-something reader, writer, poet, blogger, and Christian. I LOVE books, of all kinds, and writing is another passion. My current WIP is titled Safia , about a girl who suffers loss, finds love, and perhaps a bit of treasure.

I'm a kind of movie freak and...NERD, as well. xD

message 32: by Katie (new)

Katie Grace (katiegracewrite) | 2 comments Greetings to all! I'm Katie, though across the internet known as Katie Grace. Call me whatever you'd like. xD
I'm fifteen, homeschooled, and a Christian. I love pizza and cookies (probably too much for my own good) and am constantly reading and writing or procrastinating on Pinterest. :p

Bekah Ward (bekahward) Hey, I'm Opal :)
I've been blogging for about four years, but it took me a while to settle down into a steady blog. I'm in high school so my life is pretty much studying and sleeping. I mostly read Contemporary YA :)

I'm viewing it on mobile, but I can't read your posts because the words are too light against the background. You probably haven't viewed it on Mobile yet, so just letting you know. Can't wait to check it out!

And actually, would you mind checking if it's better now? I can't view it on mobile right now, and I'm afraid it might not be dark enough yet, because I'm not even sure if I changed anything. Thanks again!

Hey Tegan! I don't know how worthwhile my advice is as I haven't even been blogging for a week, but I suggest making a blog on Wordpress or Blogspot and writing about things you love! You can really do anything. Maybe even stuff related to what you write about. What is your new book, btw?

message 47: by Brandy (new)

Brandy (raebranram) | 2 comments Hello everyone! My name is Brandy Ramirez, and I'm a freelance writer as well. I am also an aspiring author, so as of now, I'm running three websites. I have no idea what I was thinking :). As of now, I'm in the process of finalizing two of them. At least one is up and running, which is my business site.

Currently, I live in West Texas, but I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm a daughter of the Southwest and I love it! I have been happily married for 19 years, have two grown kids, Ariana and Jacob, and three amazing grandkids, Ayden, and the twins, Alana and Leila. I look forward to getting to know you all!

To DustDee: My first book is called "Shattered Glass." It is about how I was bullied as a child in school and how I overcame it as an adult. I wrote it to hopefully help other victims of bullying.

♛Tash (tashnottasha) Hi everyone and thank you Ally for the invite.

My name is Tash, I'm from the Philippines. I used to be a book/ make-up blogger, or a wannabe anyway, but because of the demands of my day job I had to stop. I do not have a blog at the moment, so all my book reviews can be found here in GR. Besides from books, I love music, the beach and COFFEE! I work in advertising during the day and I pursue my different loves(books, food, music, sleep) during the night.
