My suggestion is for future polls, to link the book title itself and not book cover image.99% of the time I access GR via my iPhone (like now when it's 4:07 am and I'm in bed w/t lights off), and I had a hard time making out the titles.
Otherwise thanks for your hard work in setting up this group. And I love the names "Hyde Park," "Almacks," and "Parliament." :)
Hi Andrea! Thanks for pointing it out. Personally even though I have the GR app I never use it so I wasn't aware of this issue. Easy to edit the current polls - I went ahead and fixed it. :)

Ok, so I have decided to only read sub-genres of the monthly reads to keep in the spirit of the theme! I've attempted a novel outside of it and I just can't do it! lol.
Yes, please. Andrea and I and a few others I think want to read this one next month - the new Gaelen Foley.
. There also is a novella prequel
.
Great, Priya. Give me time to come up with something. I know I want to expand my HR list considerably and I thought a challenge would be the push I need for 2016.
Hey all, I just modified the Convent Garden folder. It will not just be exclusively a place for Buddy Reads but also Reading Challenges. I will be posting one later today if anyone is interested. Cheers.
Hi ladies, I apologise for the inconvenience. I haven't been able to post the thread for the BOTM January 1 to 15 because I didn't have access to a computer. Mine broke down and I've been trying to fix it since a week or so ago. If it's alright with you, we can resume the group read on the 15th. Suzie, I hope it's alright with you. I'm pretty sure not everyone has recovered from the holidays either.
Happy new year!

Please disregard this! I realize that it is only the 2nd so I think we have a good chance to catch up?

Or instead of a time period we segue way into themes eg, Rake and the Wallflower/bluestocking or Titled Lady, Commoner Hero for examples?

Yes, that would be awesome!

Oh, and one more thing. If anyone wants to volunteer as co-mod, that would be awesome. Please feel free to message me. ☺
Time travel would be good. Not something I normAlly read . I have one on my wish list I think...will have a look
Kat, I just finished our February book, The Shadow and the Star and tried to post in the thread but it was closed. Would it be possible to allow a few days grace with the BOM's before the thread is closed. Thanks.

Sorry about that Lisa. I closed the thread just a few minutes ago since the last post there was about a couple of days ago. I'll reopen it for you.

Hey everyone. Do you have any more suggestions for themes or subgenres for future group reads?
By the way, nomination thread is up for the May group reads.

Kat is there a master list say from the last year or so? That way we can suggest something different.
Here is the list of subgenres we have done already.2015:
Medieval - July
Regency - August
Highlander - September
Viking - October
Pirate - November
Bodice ripper - December
2016:
Georgian - January
Viking - February
Fairytale retold - March
Time travel - April
OOPS! Thanks Priya! Sorry I wasn't paying attention to what Loriidae actually had written. *blushes*

We can try some of these subgenres for the future:
Americana
Civil war
Elizabethan
Tudor
Native american
Western
That's the plan but if we went for a certain theme or trope for the month, we can go for any HR subgenre as long as it stays true to the theme or trope.
