I've read up to the chapter 6 so far (view spoiler)[I like Prf here much more than in Steelheart. On the other hand, I don't know how David still can be in love with Megan - it makes me think that maybe she will not be completely bad...

It mentions Mitosis several times, I hope it won't mmatter that I haven't read it - I usually read novellas in the series after I've finished all the "main" books and then, if I like it very much, I read the smaller pieces... (hide spoiler)]

Oooooh! There's a novella? I was wondering where this mitosis person came from :O

And I think David needs to move on already.

Ups... Mitosis is a short story not novella :D my mistake... But it does exist :)

That's good to hear that it gets really interesting. I think you're about 8 hours ahead of me, and if it's keeping you up so late, it must be really good! I think I'll be up all night too :D

I've finished reading! Yay! My thoughts: (view spoiler)[ In this book I liked Megan and Mizzy. In the first part I also liked Prof but then I felt something isn't okay with him. I looooved that we knew some new info about Epics' origin. I didn't expect Calamity to be Epic though... And the third book in the series comes out early 2016 I think, so looking forward to it! Finished too (view spoiler)[ I got really scared for Prof in the end there. I hope he gets saved in Calamity. I also didn't expect Calamity to be an Epic! That was craziness. So, definitely liked this better than Steelheart and it was great. (hide spoiler)]

chapters 11-22 (view spoiler)[I was thinkikng that this book was less good then what I was expecting. Not that it was bad, not at all, but from Sanderson I always expect awsomness *_* and this one was good but not so awsome. But with Megan in the picture the things are becoming more intersting! And the part in wich David says that she is like a potato is so hilarious and so fantastic that I loved it!!! (hide spoiler)]

chapters 23-36 (view spoiler)[I do not want to stop to read now but I have to.. and I'm so sad!!! :( The things are really messy, right now... I mean, all was intersting and I'm really happy that Megan is so present, and I have hope for the two of them (even if I know that Sanderson is a little bit sadistic and it can kill one of them... I was thinking about David because Megan can't die, but she said her weak point to David, so maybe would be her that die in the end of the trilogy... I don not know and I really, really, really hope for a happy ending for them!).
But right now Val shot David!!! And I have to stop the reading!! :( (hide spoiler)]

finished (view spoiler)[Ok, in the beginning I was not with it at 100% but then I was really intrigued by this book. I think that it's not Sanderson at his top, but that was good. And the ending... that ending! OMG, it's really a chaos and I need the third one now! I'm really happy for Megan and David, and I am a little bit sorry for Prof, even if he's not one of my favourite characters. And I need to know more about Calamity. And I also think that David is an Epic now, even if they think that he hasn't become one. (hide spoiler)]

I've decided on a pace of 10 chapters a day, starting today. If I keep on track I should be able to finish in the next five days.

Through Chapter 10: (view spoiler)[ So far so good, not much has changed. David still sucks at metaphors, now more than ever. I didn't expect him to be so hung up on Megan/Firefight. I guess she's going to be a big part of the story because, duh, the book is named after her. But David's crush on her is not the least bit shaken by the fact that she betrayed the Reckoners and deceived them all for months. He must really be in love.

The world of Babylon sounds amazing! Light-up spray paint is a creative and brilliant way to keep Manhattan lit. There's never a shortage of graffiti there. (hide spoiler)]

Through Chapter 20: (view spoiler)[ David is such a nerd -.- I feel like he's gotten even more awkward since the last book.
The planning scene with Mizzy writing on the board reminded me SO MUCH of the planning to kill the Lord Master scene in Mistborn, where Kelsir writes witty comments on the board too. I loved that scene. I wonder if Brandon Sanderson was patting himself on the back by recreating his own scene lol.
