Yeah, me too! I know the saying is, "Don't judge a book by it's cover," but I'm doing that a lot lately. o;

I always do it. I'm so bad at it. First thing I do when someone recommends a book to me is look at the cover, then think ah no, It's not for me!

Favorite book of 2015 - My favorite book so far is Unwind.
I have been reading but I never finish them because someone will suggest another book and I'll start reading that one..
I'm hoping to read the whole Unwind series.

I find it hard to get into a book and end up giving up and starting a new one. I'm really bad for that.

It's very exciting.

Favourite book of 2015: The Martian
A hard choice... but this book was so unexpectedly excellent, humourous and even educational. I really identified with the main character, so much that I felt guilty eating dinner whilst Mark was 'surviving on half a frozen potato '. '
The film was excellent, but the book still beat oit hands down

It's a good solid story with freak show characters and some romance thrown in.
I liked how the book also conjured up New York in the early 1900s as seen through the eyes of ordinary people from various backgrounds. It gave an insight into how they lived and thought, how events affected them and their struggle for survival.
The book has dfinitely got me interested in the period

February - Løvekvinnen
I don't know if there's an English translation yet, I read the book and the script (because a movie is being made as we speak), and I would really recommend this one if ever there's an English version.
March - The Awakening an underrated classic!
April - The Well of Loneliness
May - The Perks of Being a Wallflower
June - The Fall Camus stole my heart with this one
July -
August - The Alchemist
September -
October -
November -
December -

July - The Pricker Boy"
This book sounds quite good Ayanna, but seems to have mixed reviews. Did you find it creepy?
Not at all. It was everything except for scary which is weird cos' it was supposed to be a ghost story. I would understand why it had mixed reviews though because it was really sad. I cried on that book. :p

(this one is hard!)
January - The Rise & Fall of Great Powers
February - Letter from an Unknown Woman and Other Stories and Ordinary Grace (couldn't choose!)
March - Us
April - The Lady in Gold: The Extraordinary Tale of Gustav Klimt's Masterpiece, Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer
May -To Kill a Mockingbird AND The Great Gatsby (again-couldn't choose)
June -Americanah
July - Circling the Sun
August -The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah AND Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
September - My Notorious Life by Kate Manning and A History of the World in 6 Glasses by Tom Standage
October -
November -
December -

Yeah, it's really crazy how fast time flies!
For me either, I'm behind schedule by 4 books now. If I finish all my books this month though, I think I'll be ahead of my schedule by 4 books.

I've just read the Alchemist too. It was a real treasure - one to read again or recommend to a friend!
It was an unexpected find for me...

Yes I am! I was going to put The Death Cure (because I just finished it) on my Favourite books of November, but I'm going to read Fahrenheit 451 for my AP title list thing so there could be a tie.
And I find most of my books from the library if that's what you're asking? I got inspiration to read it when I saw the trailer for the movie Maze Runner. It looked very interesting and if I'm going to see the movie of something, I always read the book first because I want to see if it's alike.

Are the books better then you thought they would be? I might move them up my list.
A week and a day until Christmas and I hope everyone is having a nice Chanukah if you celebrate it.

Best put your feet up over the weekend and get reading!

What is it about?
