Well, I was a little upset when they started introducing "love interests" for Alex and Conner, because it was one of the only series I've read without romance. But now, I ship them, and I think Alex was a little harsh on Rook.

Me too. They are like meant to be together!

Yes, and I believe Rook made the right decision! He chose to save his dad, whom he's known his whole life, over the happiness of his girlfriend, whom he's known for what? A little over a month? I actually would have been mad at him if he didn't save his dad.

Alright here's why I don't want them to be a couple because there are so many stories where the guy does something wrong and the girl forgives him just once I would like a book that that shows a female character who is unable to forgive someone who they had a crush on/were in love with because it's human we don't forgive everyone and I think writers should include that more in their writing. Sure forgiveness is a powerful thing and I don't want Alexto hold a grudge on Rook forever just if/when she does forgive him I want them to be just friends

They're cute, that's true, but I just don't think they're good together. It's like [MAJOR SPOILER FROM FABLEHAVEN BOOKS EXPLAINING WHY I THINK THEY AREN'T VERY GOOD TOGETHER] (view spoiler)[ Kendra and Gavin. They turned out...pretty bad, if you know what I mean. And then she met Bracken. See, you have to find a guy that will meet the other character's needs and stuff. Gavin was a dragon, yes, but he was also evil. Bracken, Kendra knew he was on the good side, and since he was a unicorn, he could meet Kendra's standards. Y'know, since Kendra was the fairy queen's handmaiden and stuff.

Since I've been comparing Kendra to Alex (as well as Conner to Seth) I've noticed very similar traits. So now I look at Rook....and Gavin...and think...hmm?

Omigoodness I'm super sad that they broke up! Sure she was a little hard on him and I'm hoping for him to get back into the story sometime but if he doesn't I won't die ;p
