I have two standout books so far this year:Lady Chatterley's Lover
Giovanni's Room
Many books would be tied for third place, but I'll give it to:
Do No Harm: Stories of Life, Death and Brain Surgery
Just top 3? That is so mean!1. Stone Hotel: Poems From Prison
2. Crow Country
3. Rubberman's Cage
Rubberman's cage has been the biggest surprise of the year for me, was expecting just a mediocre novel but it was fantastic.
Top three 2015 so far must be: Me Before You
Anna and the French Kiss
and The Hunger Games (+the 2nd in the series)..
Yes - i have discovered young-adult it seems;o
I have read less that I would want this year so far. I'm waiting to finish my exams and hope to read a lot in July and for the rest of the year.Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
The Name of the Wind
The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender
My top 3 so far1. Palace Walk
2. The Buried Giant
3. A Foreign Country
Lots of books that I liked more than I thought I would so that has to be a good thing too
Top 3 is difficult to narrow down1. The Importance of Being Earnest
2. The Perks of Being a Wallflower
3. Modern Classics the Grass Arena: An Autobiography
My top 3 books so far:The Nightingale
The Girl on the Train
The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics
Mine are:
Shadow Divers
The Moon and Sixpence
Amateurs in Eden: The Story of a Bohemian Marriage: Nancy and Lawrence Durrell
Shadow Divers
The Moon and Sixpence
Amateurs in Eden: The Story of a Bohemian Marriage: Nancy and Lawrence Durrell
Really hard to choose just three, but here goes:H is for Hawk
Mrs. Hemingway
All the Light We Cannot See
It certainly isn't, Paul! I could have chosen twice as many. Am well, thank you, but have been finding it a struggle to keep on top of updating and posting reviews. Summer holidays are here though so hope to catch up a bit.Hope you're well too.
Ok, I need to change my top three Shadow Divers and The Moon and Sisxpence remain but now I need to swap Amateurs in Eden for The Count of Monte Cristo been thinking of it the past two days since I finished reading it.
My top three books I have read this year (so far) are:1. The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo
2. The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe
3. The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
So far.All the light we cannot see
The collected short stories of Elizabeth Taylor
The outsider by Albert Camus
That's hard! I have only given one book five stars this year it seems, which is A Song for Issy Bradley
I also really have enjoyed:
The Climb by Chris Froome and
I am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes
But I have several that probably are equal to those two.

So far my three favorites this year:"The Miniaturist"

And I have more that I rated 5 stars
Three!!!!????? Impossible!Series' maybe - Manda Scott's 'Boudica' and 'Rome' series' for starters. Jan Guillou's 'Jerusalem' trilogy.
Singles - Spirit House, Brick Lane and Dances with Wolves
Great picks so far everyone. Thanks for the new books I added to my ever growing TR list, lol.I've had a very good book year so picking 3 is kind of tough. I'll go for these:
1. The Martian
2. The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics
3. Merchants of Doubt: How a Handful of Scientists Obscured the Truth on Issues from Tobacco Smoke to Global Warming
My top three are the three 1Q84 books by Haruki Murakami. I read them in January and am still reflecting on them now.
If I could add a fourth it would be Donna Tartt "The Goldfinch"
