Courtney and I will be reading the 5th book of the Lorien Legacies in July. Feel free to join in!

Chapter 3-5 (view spoiler)[ I thought Mark was gone for good, and I really don't think Sarah should be going to him. I really am still sad about what happen to Eight, and I hate Five for his part he had in it. Last but not least Setrakus Ra an elder? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 8-9 (view spoiler)[ Holy cow. Adam just killed his dad. Part of me is happy he was the one to do it but part of me is sad he is the one that did it. (hide spoiler)]

Done. I don't think this was the best book, but it was still good. (view spoiler)[Five was throwing me off. He was back and forth throughout the whole book, and at this point I don't know how I feel about him. Oh, and that ending? Where did Sam get that power? (hide spoiler)]

I agree it wasn't one of the best in the series. A little draggy and uneventful in the middle but the last chapters were great. I don't think the book was well titled. I thought Ten had more page time than Marina. (hide spoiler)]

Character Thoughts:
(view spoiler)[I have to say this book made me like some of the characters a little less, and some a little more. I like Adam a lot more, and Four has become higher up in my favorites now that he's not so gushy about Sarah the whole time. I still really like Six and Nine as well. However I do like Marina a lot less because of this book, as she seemed to not really be able to get a control on her emotions. Like I understand her love died, but still, Six always called her a portable air conditioning, which shows she has very little control. (hide spoiler)]

Plot Thoughts:
(view spoiler)[I like all the separate plans this book went through, and how it showed the Garde successfully making a stand. However, this felt a lot like it could've been the second to last book, but there are actually two more, and I'm a tad worried about those being drawn out. (hide spoiler)]

World Building Thoughts:
(view spoiler)[I always loved learning more about Lorien, and getting to see all the cool stuff in everyone's Chests. I wish there was a bit more of getting to see the cool gear in action, rather than it all just being dumped in the Sanctuary, but I still liked how we learned more of the Elder's plans for Lorien, and how it was more an entity than just a planet. Overall Thoughts:
(view spoiler)[I really liked this installment in the series, although it wasn't my favorite. I'm excited to read what happens next, even though I'm a tad worried it might feel drawn out. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Yes, I liked Adam a lot too and I felt the same way about Four. Though I did like Sam and Six's relationship because it felt a little more appropriate for the situation they're in. With the end of the world hook-up and all. I liked how Nine seems to be more somber and serious now, but by still having mainly the same personality as before. The thing about Marina is that I think that she is handling the situation she is in quite well and I actually cried during that scene where she was able to talk to Eight. She may be a little out of control, but I think she has a better handle on everything now. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I liked learning more about that too, but I still feel like it needs to be explained a little more. I think that the author is with holding some information so that the other books can reveal some more things, but I really wish he would explain it now. I think I sort of understood the thing that "the Lorien being" was talking about and I think that it was the thing that gave Sam his powers.... (hide spoiler)]
