Can you help me find more military sci-fi series centered around brilliant tacticians leading their soldiers and having their absolute trust, so much so that they would die for them? Something along the lines of Campbell's "Lost Fleet" series or Shepherd's "Kris Longknife" series?

Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen is the first book in a lateral time travel series, about a policeman who is transported to an alternate Earth where he disrupts the balance of power with his knowledge of gunpowder and advanced tactics. The author died but he gave others the right to continue the series. Great Kings' War is the first in that series, and there is a third Kalvan Kingmaker which I have not read. I see both of the authors of Great Kings' War have lots of military SF to their names. In a more futuristic line, try Trading in Danger and the follow up books in the Kylara Vatta series.
David Weber's Heirs of Empire has a sub-plot in which 5 technologically enhanced warriors, mistaken for angels, lead a revolution on a planet that despises technology. The other half of the book deals with political intrigue and a long-laid assassination plot. I prefer the war.The Honor Harrington series, also by Weber, features a heroine who leads by inspiration and example as much as clever tactics.
John Ringo and his Posleen series is wonderful. Robert Buettner and his Jason Wander Series is truly amazing.
